Psaumes 113

1 Alléluia! Louez, serviteurs de l’Eternel, louez le nom de l’Eternel!

Praise all of you the LORD. Praise, O all of you servants of the LORD, praise the name of the LORD.

2 Que le nom du Seigneur soit béni dès maintenant et à tout jamais!

Blessed be the name of the LORD from this time forth and for evermore.

3 Du soleil levant jusqu’à son couchant, que le nom de l’Eternel soit célébré!

From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the LORD's name is to be praised.

4 L’Eternel est élevé au-dessus de tous les peuples, sa gloire dépasse les cieux.

The LORD is high above all nations, and his glory above the heavens.

5 Qui, comme l’Eternel, notre Dieu, réside dans les hauteurs,

Who is like unto the LORD our God, who dwells on high,

6 abaisse ses regards sur le ciel et sur la terre?

Who humbles himself to behold the things that are in heaven, and in the earth!

7 Il redresse l’humble couché dans la poussière, fait remonter le pauvre du sein de l’abjection,

He raises up the poor out of the dust, and lifts the needy out of the dunghill;

8 pour le placer à côté des grands, à côté des grands de son peuple.

That he may set him with princes, even with the princes of his people.

9 Il fait trôner dans la maison la femme stérile, devenue une mère heureuse de nombreux fils. Alléluia!

He makes the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise all of you the LORD.
