Exode 36
1 "Donc Beçalel et Oholiab et tous les hommes de talent à qui le Seigneur a dispensé industrie et intelligence pour concevoir et pour exécuter, exécuteront tout le travail de la sainte entreprise, conformément à ce qu’a ordonné l’Éternel."
THEN wrought Bezaleel and Aholiab, and every wise hearted man, in whom the Lord put wisdom and understanding to know how to work all manner of work for the service of the sanctuary, according to all that the Lord had commanded.
2 Moïse manda Beçalel et Oholiab, ainsi que tous les hommes de talent à qui le Seigneur avait départi un génie industrieux, quiconque se sentait digne d’entreprendre l’œuvre, capable de l’exécuter.
And Moses called Bezaleel and Aholiab, and every wise hearted man, in whose heart the Lord had put wisdom, even every one whose heart stirred him up to come unto the work to do it:
3 Ils emportèrent de devant Moïse, pour la mettre en œuvre, toute l’offrande présentée par les Israélites pour l’exécution de la sainte œuvre. Mais ceux-ci continuant de lui apporter, chaque matin, des dons volontaires,
And they received of Moses all the offering, which the children of Israel had brought for the work of the service of the sanctuary, to make it withal. And they brought yet unto him free offerings every morning.
4 tous les artistes qui travaillaient aux diverses parties de la tâche sacrée, revinrent chacun du travail dont ils s’occupaient
And all the wise men, that wrought all the work of the sanctuary, came every man from his work which they made;
5 et dirent à Moïse: "Le peuple fait surabondamment d’offrandes, au delà de ce qu’exige l’ouvrage que l’Éternel a ordonné de faire."
And they spake unto Moses, saying, The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work, which the Lord commanded to make.
6 Sur l’ordre de Moïse, on fit circuler dans le camp cette proclamation: "Que ni homme ni femme ne préparent plus de matériaux pour la contribution des choses saintes!" Et le peuple s’abstint de faire des offrandes.
And Moses gave commandment, and they caused it to be proclaimed throughout the camp, saying, Let neither man nor woman make any more work for the offering of the sanctuary. So the people were restrained from bringing.
7 Les matériaux suffirent et par delà, pour l’exécution de tout l’ouvrage.
For the stuff they had was sufficient for all the work to make it, and too much.
8 Les plus habiles parmi les ouvriers composèrent les dix tapis de l’enceinte, en lin retors, étoffes d’azur, de pourpre et d’écarlate, artistement damassés de chérubins.
And every wise hearted man among them that wrought the work of the tabernacle made ten curtains of fine twined linen, and blue, and purple, and scarlet: with cherubims of cunning work made he them.
9 Longueur de chaque tapis, vingt-huit coudées; largeur, quatre coudées, même dimension pour tous les tapis.
The length of one curtain was twenty and eight cubits, and the breadth of one curtain four cubits: the curtains were all of one size.
10 On attacha cinq des tapis bout à bout et bout à bout aussi les cinq autres.
And he coupled the five curtains one unto another: and the other five curtains he coupled one unto another.
11 On disposa des nœuds de laine azurée au bord du tapis extrême d’un assemblage et de même au bord du tapis terminant le second assemblage.
And he made loops of blue on the edge of one curtain from the selvedge in the coupling: likewise he made in the uttermost side of another curtain, in the coupling of the second.
12 On mit cinquante de ces nœuds à un tapis et cinquante nœuds au bord du tapis terminant le second assemblage; ces nœuds étaient en regard l’un de l’autre.
Fifty loops made he in one curtain, and fifty loops made he in the edge of the curtain which was in the coupling of the second: the loops held one curtain to another.
13 On fit cinquante agrafes d’or, par lesquelles on joignit les tapis l’un à l’autre, de sorte que l’enceinte se trouva continue.
And he made fifty taches of gold, and coupled the curtains one unto another with the taches: so it became one tabernacle.
14 On fabriqua des tapis en poil de chèvre, pour servir de pavillon à cette enceinte; on les fit au nombre de onze.
And he made curtains of goats’ hair for the tent over the tabernacle: eleven curtains he made them.
15 Longueur d’un tapis, trente coudées; largeur de chacun, quatre coudées: dimension égale pour les onze tapis.
The length of one curtain was thirty cubits, and four cubits was the breadth of one curtain: the eleven curtains were of one size.
16 On joignit cinq des tapis séparément et les six autres séparément.
And he coupled five curtains by themselves, and six curtains by themselves.
17 On disposa cinquante nœuds au bord du tapis terminant un assemblage et cinquante nœuds au bord du tapis extrême du second assemblage.
And he made fifty loops upon the uttermost edge of the curtain in the coupling, and fifty loops made he upon the edge of the curtain which coupleth the second.
18 On fit cinquante agrafes de cuivre, destinées à réunir le pavillon en un seul corps.
And he made fifty taches of brass to couple the tent together, that it might be one.
19 On arrangea, pour couvrir ce pavillon, des peaux de bélier teintes en rouge, puis, par-dessus, une couverture de peaux de tahach.
And he made a covering for the tent of rams’ skins dyed red, and a covering of badgers’ skins above that.
20 On fit les solives destinées au tabernacle: des ais de chittîm, perpendiculaires.
And he made boards for the tabernacle of shittim wood, standing up.
21 Dix coudées formaient la longueur de chaque solive, une coudée et demie la largeur de chacune.
The length of a board was ten cubits, and the breadth of a board one cubit and a half.
22 Chaque solive portait deux tenons, parallèles l’un à l’autre; ce qu’on pratiqua pour toutes les solives du tabernacle.
One board had two tenons, equally distant one from another: thus did he make for all the boards of the tabernacle.
23 On prépara ainsi les solives du tabernacle vingt solives pour le côté du sud, regardant le midi.
And he made boards for the tabernacle; twenty boards for the south side southward:
24 Quarante socles d’argent furent destinés aux vingt solives: deux socles sous une solive, recevant ses deux tenons et deux socles sous une autre, pour ses deux tenons.
And forty sockets of silver he made under the twenty boards; two sockets under one board for his two tenons, and two sockets under another board for his two tenons.
25 Pour le second côté du tabernacle, à la face nord, on fit vingt solives,
And for the other side of the tabernacle, which is toward the north corner, he made twenty boards,
26 ainsi que leurs quarante socles d’argent: deux socles sous une solive, deux socles sous l’autre.
And their forty sockets of silver; two sockets under one board, and two sockets under another board.
27 Pour le côté postérieur du tabernacle, à l’occident, on fit six solives
And for the sides of the tabernacle westward he made six boards.
28 et l’on ajouta deux solives pour les angles postérieurs du tabernacle.
And two boards made he for the corners of the tabernacle in the two sides.
29 Elles devaient être accouplées par le bas et s’ajuster également vers le sommet par un seul anneau: on le fit ainsi pour toutes deux, pour les deux encoignures.
And they were coupled beneath, and coupled together at the head thereof, to one ring: thus he did to both of them in both the corners.
30 Cela devait former huit solives, avec leurs socles d’argent, soit seize socles: deux socles uniformément sous chaque solive.
And there were eight boards; and their sockets were sixteen sockets of silver, under every board two sockets.
31 Puis on fit des traverses en bois de chittîm cinq pour les solives d’une face du tabernacle;
And he made bars of shittim wood; five for the boards of the one side of the tabernacle,
32 cinq autres traverses pour les solives de la seconde face du tabernacle; enfin, cinq pour les solives du tabernacle situées du côté postérieur, vers l’occident.
And five bars for the boards of the other side of the tabernacle, and five bars for the boards of the tabernacle for the sides westward.
33 On tailla la traverse du milieu, devant passer dans l’intérieur des solives d’une extrémité à l’autre.
And he made the middle bar to shoot through the boards from the one end to the other.
34 Ces solives, on les recouvrit d’or; on fit en or leurs anneaux, qui devaient recevoir les traverses et l’on recouvrit les traverses d’or.
And he overlaid the boards with gold, and made their rings of gold to be places for the bars, and overlaid the bars with gold.
35 Puis on fit le voile, en étoffes d’azur, de pourpre, d’écarlate et de lin retors; on le fabriqua artistement en le damassant de chérubins.
And he made a vail of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen: with cherubims made he it of cunning work.
36 On confectionna pour lui quatre piliers de chittîm que l’on recouvrit d’or, dont les crochets furent d’or et pour lesquels on moula quatre socles d’argent.
And he made thereunto four pillars of shittim wood, and overlaid them with gold: their hooks were of gold; and he cast for them four sockets of silver.
37 Et l’on fit un rideau pour l’entrée de la tente: en azur, pourpre, écarlate et lin retors, artistement brodés;
And he made an hanging for the tabernacle door of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen, of needlework;
38 plus, ses cinq piliers avec leurs crochets. On en dora les chapiteaux et les tringles et on fit leurs cinq socles en cuivre.
And the five pillars of it with their hooks: and he overlaid their chapiters and their fillets with gold: but their five sockets were of brass.
