1 Chroniques 25

1 Et David et les chefs de l’armée mirent à part pour le service, d’entre les fils d’Asaph et d’Héman et de Jeduthun, ceux qui devaient prophétiser avec des harpes, et des luths, et des cymbales; et le nombre des hommes employés au service était:

Moreover, David and the captains of the army set apart for the service certain of the sons of Asaph, of Heman, and of Jeduthun, who were to prophesy with harps, with stringed instruments, and with cymbals. The number of those who did the work according to their service was:

2 Des fils d’Asaph: Zaccur, et Joseph, et Nethania, et Ashareéla, fils d’Asaph, sous la direction d’Asaph, qui prophétisait sous la direction du roi.

of the sons of Asaph: Zaccur, Joseph, Nethaniah, and Asharelah. The sons of Asaph were under the hand of Asaph, who prophesied at the order of the king.

3 De Jeduthun, les fils de Jeduthun: Guedalia, et Tseri, et Ésaïe, Hashabia, et Matthithia, [et Shimhi], six, sous la direction de leur père Jeduthun, qui prophétisait avec la harpe, pour célébrer et louer l’Éternel.

Of Jeduthun, the sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, Zeri, Jeshaiah, Shimei, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, six, under the hands of their father Jeduthun, who prophesied in giving thanks and praising the LORD with the harp.

4 D’Héman, les fils d’Héman: Bukkija, Matthania, Uziel, Shebuel, et Jerimoth, Hanania, Hanani, Éliatha, Guiddalthi, et Romamthi-Ézer, Joshbekasha, Mallothi, Hothir, Makhazioth:

Of Heman, the sons of Heman: Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, Romamti-Ezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, and Mahazioth.

5 tous ceux-là étaient fils d’Héman, le voyant du roi dans les paroles de Dieu, pour exalter sa puissance; et Dieu donna à Héman 14 fils et trois filles.

All these were the sons of Heman the king’s seer in the words of God, to lift up the horn. God gave to Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.

6 – Tous ceux-là étaient sous la direction de leurs pères, d’Asaph, et de Jeduthun, et d’Héman, dans le chant de la maison de l’Éternel, avec des cymbales, des luths, et des harpes, pour le service de la maison de Dieu, sous la direction du roi.

All these were under the hands of their father for song in the LORD’s house, with cymbals, stringed instruments, and harps, for the service of God’s house: Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman being under the order of the king.

7 Et leur nombre, avec leurs frères instruits dans l’art de chanter à l’Éternel, tous les hommes experts, était de 288.

The number of them, with their brothers who were instructed in singing to the LORD, even all who were skilful, was two hundred and eighty-eight.

8 Et ils jetèrent les sorts pour leurs charges, le petit comme le grand, l’homme expert avec le disciple.

They cast lots for their offices, all alike, the small as well as the great, the teacher as well as the student.

9 Et le premier sort échut, pour Asaph, à Joseph; à Guedalia, le second; lui et ses frères et ses fils étaient douze.

Now the first lot came out for Asaph to Joseph; the second to Gedaliah, he and his brothers and sons were twelve;

10 Le troisième, à Zaccur, ses fils et ses frères, douze.

the third to Zaccur, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

11 Le quatrième, à Jitseri, ses fils et ses frères, douze.

the fourth to Izri, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

12 Le cinquième, à Nethania, ses fils et ses frères, douze.

the fifth to Nethaniah, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

13 Le sixième, à Bukkija, ses fils et ses frères, douze.

the sixth to Bukkiah, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

14 Le septième, à Jeshareéla, ses fils et ses frères, douze.

the seventh to Jesharelah, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

15 Le huitième, à Ésaïe, ses fils et ses frères, douze.

the eighth to Jeshaiah, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

16 Le neuvième, à Matthania, ses fils et ses frères, douze.

the ninth to Mattaniah, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

17 Le dixième, à Shimhi, ses fils et ses frères, douze.

the tenth to Shimei, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

18 Le onzième, à Azareël, ses fils et ses frères, douze.

the eleventh to Azarel, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

19 Le douzième, à Hashabia, ses fils et ses frères, douze.

the twelfth to Hashabiah, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

20 Le treizième, à Shubaël, ses fils et ses frères, douze.

for the thirteenth, Shubael, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

21 Le quatorzième, à Matthithia, ses fils et ses frères, douze.

for the fourteenth, Mattithiah, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

22 Le quinzième, à Jerémoth, ses fils et ses frères, douze.

for the fifteenth to Jeremoth, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

23 Le seizième, à Hanania, ses fils et ses frères, douze.

for the sixteenth to Hananiah, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

24 Le dix-septième, à Joshbekasha, ses fils et ses frères, douze.

for the seventeenth to Joshbekashah, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

25 Le dix-huitième, à Hanani, ses fils et ses frères, douze.

for the eighteenth to Hanani, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

26 Le dix-neuvième, à Mallothi, ses fils et ses frères, douze.

for the nineteenth to Mallothi, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

27 Le vingtième, à Élijatha, ses fils et ses frères, douze.

for the twentieth to Eliathah, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

28 Le vingt et unième, à Hothir, ses fils et ses frères, douze.

for the twenty-first to Hothir, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

29 Le vingt-deuxième, à Guiddalthi, ses fils et ses frères, douze.

for the twenty-second to Giddalti, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

30 Le vingt-troisième, à Makhazioth, ses fils et ses frères, douze.

for the twenty-third to Mahazioth, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

31 Le vingt-quatrième, à Romamthi-Ézer, ses fils et ses frères, douze.

for the twenty-fourth to Romamti-Ezer, his sons and his brothers, twelve.
