Apocalypse 14

1 Je regardai encore et voici que l'Agneau se tenait sur la montagne de Sion, et avec lui cent quarante-quatre mille personnes, qui avaient son nom et le nom de son Père écrits sur le front.

And I saw, and lo! the Lamb, standing upon the mount Zion, —and, with him, a hundred and forty-four thousand, having his name and his Father’s name written upon their foreheads.

2 Et j'entendis un son qui venait du ciel, pareil au bruit de grandes eaux et à la voix d'un puissant tonnerre; et le son que j'entendis ressemblait à un concert de harpistes jouant de leurs instruments.

And I heard a sound out of heaven, as the sound of many waters, and as the sound of, loud thunders; and, the sound which I heard, was as of harp-singers harping with their harps,

3 Et ils chantaient comme un cantique nouveau devant le trône, et devant les quatre animaux et les vieillards; et nul ne pouvait apprendre ce cantique, si ce n'est les cent quarante-quatre mille qui ont été rachetés de la terre.

And they sing as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four living creatures and the elders. And, no one, was able to learn the song, save the hundred and forty-four thousand, who had been redeemed from the earth.

4 Ce sont ceux qui ne se sont pas souillés avec des femmes, car ils sont vierges. Ce sont eux qui accompagnent l'Agneau partout où il va. Ils ont été rachetés d'entre les hommes, comme des prémices pour Dieu et pour l'Agneau;

These, are they, who with women, were not defiled, for they are, virgin. These, are they who follow the Lamb whithersoever he is going. These, were redeemed from mankind, as a firstfruit unto God and the Lamb;

5 et il ne s'est point trouvé de mensonge dans leur bouche, car ils sont irréprochables.

and, in their mouth, was found no falsehood, —faultless, they are.

6 Puis je vis un autre ange qui volait par le milieu du ciel, tenant l'Evangile éternel, pour l'annoncer aux habitants de la terre, à toute nation, à toute tribu, à toute langue et à tout peuple. (aiōnios g166)

And I saw another messenger, flying in mid-heaven, having an age-abiding glad-message to announce unto them who are dwelling upon the earth, even unto every nation and tribe and tongue and people, (aiōnios g166)

7 Il disait d'une voix forte: " Craignez Dieu et donnez-lui gloire, car l'heure de son jugement est venue; adorez Celui qui a fait le ciel et la terre, la mer et les sources des eaux. "

saying with a loud voice, —Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judging is come; and do homage unto him that made heaven and the earth and sea and fountains of waters.

8 Et un autre ange suivit, en disant: " Elle est tombée, elle est tombée, Babylone la grande, qui a abreuvé toutes les nations du vin de la fureur de son impudicité! "

And, another, a second [messenger] followed, saying—Fallen! fallen! is Babylon the great, who, of the wine of the wrath of her lewdness, hath caused all the nations to drink.

9 Et un troisième ange les suivit, en disant d'une voix forte: " Si quelqu'un adore la bête et son image, et en prend la marque sur son front ou sur sa main,

And, another, a third messenger, followed them, saying with a loud voice—If anyone doeth homage unto the beast and his image, and receiveth a mark upon his forehead, or upon his hand,

10 il boira, lui aussi, du vin de la fureur de Dieu, du vin pur versé dans la coupe de sa colère, et il sera tourmenté dans le feu et dans le soufre, sous les yeux des saints anges et de l'Agneau.

he also, shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is prepared, unmixed, in the cup of his anger; —and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone, before holy messengers and before the Lamb;

11 Et la fumée de leur supplice s'élèvera aux siècles des siècles, et il n'y aura de repos, ni jour ni nuit, pour ceux qui adorent la bête et son image, ni pour quiconque aura reçu la marque de son nom. " (aiōn g165)

And, the smoke of their torment, unto ages of ages, ascendeth; And they have no rest day or night, who do homage unto the beast and his image, or if anyone receiveth the mark of his name. (aiōn g165)

12 C'est ici que doit se montrer la patience des saints, qui gardent les commandements de Dieu et la foi en Jésus.

Here, is, the endurance of the saints, —they who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.

13 Et j'entendis une voix venant du ciel, qui disait: " Ecris: Heureux dès maintenant les morts qui meurent dans le Seigneur! " — " Oui, dit l'Esprit, qu'ils se reposent de leurs travaux, car leurs œuvres les suivent. "

And I heard a voice out of heaven, saying—Write! Happy, the dead who, in the Lord, do die, from henceforth. Yea! (saith the Spirit) that they may rest from their toils, for, their works, do follow with them.

14 Puis je regardai, et voici que parut une nuée blanche, et sur la nuée quelqu'un était assis qui ressemblait à un fils de l'homme ayant sur sa tête une couronne d'or, et dans sa main une faucille tranchante.

And I saw, and lo! a white cloud, and, upon the cloud, one sitting like unto a son of man, having, upon his head, a crown of gold, and, in his hand, a sharp sickle.

15 Et un autre ange sortit du sanctuaire, criant d'une voix forte à celui qui était assis sur la nuée: " Lance ta faucille et moissonne; car le moment de moissonner est venu, parce que la moisson de la terre est mûre. "

And, another messenger, came forth out of the sanctuary, crying out with a loud voice, unto him that was sitting upon the cloud—Thrust in thy sickle, and reap; because the hour to reap is come, because the harvest of the earth is ripe.

16 Alors Celui qui était assis sur la nuée jeta sa faucille sur la terre, et la terre fut moissonnée.

And he that was sitting upon the cloud, thrust in, his sickle upon the earth; and the earth was reaped.

17 Un autre ange sortit du sanctuaire qui est dans le ciel, portant, lui aussi, une faucille tranchante.

And, another messenger, came forth out of the sanctuary that is in heaven, —he also, having a sharp sickle.

18 Et un autre ange, celui qui a pouvoir sur le feu, sortit de l'autel, et s'adressa d'une voix forte à celui qui avait la faucille tranchante, disant: " Lance ta faucille tranchante, et coupe les grappes de la vigne de la terre, car les raisins en sont murs. "

And, another messenger, [came forth] out of the altar, who hath authority over the fire, —and called out with a loud voice, unto him who had the sharp sickle, saying—Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; because the grapes thereof are fully ripe.

19 Et l'ange jeta sa faucille sur la terre, et vendangea la vigne de la terre, et il en jeta les grappes dans la grande cuve de la colère de Dieu.

And the messenger, thrust in, his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast [it] into the great wine-press of the wrath of God.

20 La cuve fut foulée hors de la ville, et il en sortit du sang jusqu'à la hauteur du mors des chevaux, sur un espace de mille six cents stades.

And the wine-press was trodden outside the city, and there came forth blood out of the wine-press, even unto the bits of the horses, at a distance of a thousand six hundred furlongs.
