Psaumes 30

1 Psaume. Cantique pour la dédicace de la maison. De David. Je t'exalte, Yahweh, car tu m'as relevé, tu n'as pas réjoui mes ennemis à mon sujet.

A psalm; a song at the dedication of the temple. A psalm of David. I will exalt you, Yahweh, for you have raised me up and have not allowed my enemies to rejoice over me.

2 Yahweh, mon Dieu, j'ai crié vers toi, et tu m'as guéri.

Yahweh my God, I cried to you for help, and you healed me.

3 Yahweh, tu as fait remonter mon âme du schéol, tu m'as rendu la vie, loin de ceux qui descendent dans la fosse. (Sheol h7585)

Yahweh, you have brought up my soul from Sheol; you have kept me alive from going down to the grave. (Sheol h7585)

4 Chantez Yahweh, vous ses fidèles, célébrez son saint souvenir!

Sing praises to Yahweh, you his faithful people! Give thanks when you remember his holiness.

5 Car sa colère dure un instant, mais sa grâce toute la vie; le soir viennent les pleurs, et le matin l'allégresse.

For his anger is only for a moment; but his favor is for a lifetime. Weeping comes for a night, but joy comes in the morning.

6 Je disais dans ma sécurité: " Je ne serai jamais ébranlé! "

In confidence I said, “I will never be shaken.”

7 Yahweh, par ta grâce, tu avais affermi ma montagne; — tu as caché ta face, et j'ai été troublé.

Yahweh, by your favor you established me as a strong mountain; but when you hid your face, I was troubled.

8 Yahweh, j'ai crié vers toi, j'ai imploré Yahweh:

I cried to you, Yahweh, and sought favor from my Lord!

9 " Que gagnes-tu à verser mon sang; à me faire descendre dans la fosse? La poussière chantera-t-elle tes louanges, annoncera-t-elle ta vérité?

What advantage is there in my death, if I go down to the grave? Will the dust praise you? Will it declare your trustworthiness?

10 Ecoute, Yahweh, sois-moi propice; Yahweh, viens à mon secours! " —

Hear, Yahweh, and have mercy on me! Yahweh, be my helper.

11 Et tu as changé mes lamentations en allégresse, tu as délié mon sac et tu m'as ceint de joie,

You have turned my mourning into dancing; you have removed my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness.

12 afin que mon âme te chante et ne se taise pas. Yahweh, mon Dieu, à jamais je te louerai.

So now my glory will sing praise to you and not be silent; Yahweh my God, I will give thanks to you forever!
