Psaumes 149

1 Louez Yahvé! Chantez à Yahvé un chant nouveau, sa louange dans l'assemblée des saints.

Praise you the LORD. Sing to the LORD a new song, and his praise in the congregation of saints.

2 Qu'Israël se réjouisse de celui qui l'a créé. Que les enfants de Sion soient joyeux dans leur Roi.

Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.

3 Qu'ils louent son nom dans la danse! Qu'ils chantent ses louanges avec tambourin et harpe!

Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises to him with the tambourine and harp.

4 Car Yahvé prend plaisir à son peuple. Il couronne les humbles par le salut.

For the LORD takes pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation.

5 Que les saints se réjouissent dans l'honneur. Qu'ils chantent de joie sur leurs lits.

Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud on their beds.

6 Que les hautes louanges de Dieu soient dans leurs bouches, et une épée à deux tranchants dans leur main,

Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand;

7 pour exécuter la vengeance sur les nations, et des châtiments sur les peuples;

To execute vengeance on the heathen, and punishments on the people;

8 pour lier leurs rois avec des chaînes, et leurs nobles avec des entraves de fer;

To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;

9 pour exécuter sur eux le jugement écrit. Tous ses saints ont cet honneur. Louez Yah!

To execute on them the judgment written: this honor have all his saints. Praise you the LORD.
