Éphésiens 3
1 C'est pourquoi je suis, moi Paul, le prisonnier de Jésus-Christ en votre faveur, vous les païens,
For this cause, I Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for you the nations,
2 si vous avez entendu parler de l'administration de la grâce de Dieu qui m'a été donnée envers vous,
if, indeed, you heard of the dispensation of the grace of God that was given to me in regard to you,
3 comment, par révélation, le mystère m'a été révélé, comme je l'ai écrit auparavant en peu de mots,
that by revelation He made known to me the secret, according as I wrote before in few [words]—
4 par quoi, quand vous lisez, vous pouvez percevoir mon intelligence dans le mystère de Christ,
in regard to which you are able, reading [it], to understand my knowledge in the secret of the Christ,
5 qui, dans d'autres générations, n'a pas été révélé aux enfants des hommes, comme il l'a été maintenant à ses saints apôtres et prophètes dans l'Esprit,
which in other generations was not made known to the sons of men, as it was now revealed to His holy apostles and prophets in the Spirit—
6 à savoir que les païens sont cohéritiers et cohéritiers du corps, et qu'ils ont part à sa promesse dans le Christ Jésus par la Bonne Nouvelle,
that the nations are fellow-heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of His promise in the Christ, through the good news,
7 dont j'ai été fait serviteur selon le don de la grâce de Dieu qui m'a été accordée selon l'opération de sa puissance.
of which I became a servant, according to the gift of the grace of God that was given to me, according to the working of His power;
8 C'est à moi, le plus petit de tous les saints, qu'a été donnée cette grâce d'annoncer aux païens les richesses insondables de Christ,
to me—the less than the least of all the holy ones—was given this grace, among the nations to proclaim good news—the untraceable riches of the Christ,
9 et de faire connaître à tous l'administration du mystère caché depuis des siècles en Dieu, qui a créé toutes choses par Jésus-Christ, (aiōn g165)
and to cause all to see what [is] the fellowship of the secret that has been hid from the ages in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ, (aiōn g165)
10 afin que maintenant, par l'assemblée, la sagesse multiple de Dieu soit révélée aux principautés et aux puissances dans les lieux célestes,
that there might be made known now to the principalities and the authorities in the heavenly [places], through the Assembly, the manifold wisdom of God,
according to a purpose of the ages, which He made in Christ Jesus our Lord, (aiōn g165)
12 En lui, nous avons de l'assurance et un accès confiant par notre foi en lui.
in whom we have the freedom and the access in confidence through the faith of Him,
13 C'est pourquoi je demande que vous ne perdiez pas courage à cause de mes peines pour vous, qui sont votre gloire.
for this reason, I ask [you] not to faint in my tribulations for you, which is your glory.
14 C'est pourquoi je fléchis les genoux devant le Père de notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ,
For this cause I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
15 de qui toute famille dans les cieux et sur la terre tire son nom,
of whom the whole family in the heavens and on earth is named,
16 afin qu'il vous accorde, selon la richesse de sa gloire, d'être fortifiés avec puissance par son Esprit dans la personne intérieure,
that He may give to you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened through His Spirit with might, in regard to the inner man,
17 afin que Christ habite dans vos cœurs par la foi, pour que, enracinés et fondés dans l'amour,
that the Christ may dwell through the faith in your hearts, having been rooted and founded in love,
18 vous soyez fortifiés pour comprendre avec tous les saints quelle est la largeur, la longueur, la hauteur et la profondeur,
that you may be in strength to comprehend, with all the holy ones, what [is] the breadth, and length, and depth, and height,
19 et pour connaître l'amour de Christ, qui surpasse toute connaissance, afin que vous soyez remplis de toute la plénitude de Dieu.
to know also the love of the Christ that is exceeding the knowledge, that you may be filled—to all the fullness of God;
20 Or, à celui qui peut faire infiniment plus que tout ce que nous demandons ou pensons, selon la puissance qui agit en nous,
and to Him who is able to do exceedingly [and] abundantly above all things that we ask or think, according to the power that is working in us,
