Luukkaan 6
1 Ja tapahtui jälkisabbattina, että hän kävi laihon lävitse, ja hänen opetuslapsensa katkoivat tähkäpäitä ja hiersivät käsillänsä, ja söivät.
Now on the second Sabbath ·To cease· after the first, he was going through the grain fields. His disciples plucked the heads of grain and ate, rubbing them in their hands.
2 Niin muutamat Pharisealaiset sanoivat heille: miksi te teette, jota ei sovi sabbatina tehdä?
But some of the Pharisees [Separated] said to them, “Why do you do that which is not lawful to do on the Sabbath ·To cease· day?”
3 Ja Jesus vastaten sanoi heille: ettekö te ole lukeneet, mitä David teki, kuin hän isosi, ja ne, jotka hänen kanssaan olivat?
Yeshua [Salvation], answering them, said, “Haven’t you read what David [Beloved] did when he was hungry, he, and those who were with him;
4 Kuinka hän meni Jumalan huoneeseen, ja otti näkyleivät, ja söi, ja antoi myös niille, jotka hänen kanssaan olivat; joita ei muiden kuin pappein syödä sopinut.
how he entered into God’s house, and took and ate the show bread from the table of Yahweh, and gave also to those who were with him, which is not lawful to eat except for the priests alone?”
5 Ja hän sanoi heille: Ihmisen Poika on myös sabbatin Herra.
He said to them, “The Son of Man is lord of the Sabbath ·To cease·.”
6 Niin tapahtui myös toisena sabbatina, että hän meni synagogaan sisälle ja opetti; ja siellä oli ihminen, jonka oikea käsi oli kuivettunut.
It also happened on another Sabbath ·To cease· that he entered into the synagogue and taught. There was a man there, and his right hand was withered.
7 Niin kirjanoppineet ja Pharisealaiset vartiotsivat häntä, josko hän sabbatina parantais, että he olisivat löytäneet kanteen häntä vastaan.
The Torah-Teachers and the Pharisees [Separated] watched him, to see whether he would heal on the Sabbath ·To cease·, that they might find an accusation against him.
8 Mutta hän tiesi heidän ajatuksensa ja sanoi sille ihmiselle, jolla kuivettunut käsi oli: nouse ja tule edes! Niin hän nousi ja seisoi.
But he knew their thoughts; and he said to the man who had the withered hand, “Rise up, and stand in the middle.” He arose and stood.
9 Niin Jesus sanoi hänelle: minä kysyn teiltä: mitä sabbatina sopii, hyvää tehdä, taikka pahaa tehdä? henkeä vapahtaa eli kadottaa?
Then Yeshua [Salvation] said to them, “I will ask you something: Is it lawful on the Sabbath ·To cease· to do good, or to do harm? To save a life, or to kill?”
10 Ja kuin hän katsahti ympäri heidän kaikkain päällensä, sanoi hän sille ihmiselle: ojenna kätes! ja se teki niin, ja hänen kätensä tuli terveeksi niinkuin toinenkin.
He looked around at them all, and said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He did, and his hand was restored as sound as the other.
11 Mutta he tulivat tyhmyyttä täyteen ja puhuivat keskenänsä, mitä heidän pitäis Jesukselle tekemän.
But they were filled with rage, and talked with one another about what they might do to Yeshua [Salvation].
12 Mutta niinä päivinä tapahtui, että hän meni vuorelle rukoilemaan, ja hän oli yli yötä Jumalan tykö rukouksessa.
In these days, he went out to the mountain to pray, and he continued all night in prayer to God.
13 Ja kuin päivä tuli, kutsui hän opetuslapsensa ja valitsi heistä kaksitoistakymmentä, jotka hän myös apostoleiksi nimitti:
When it was day, he called his disciples, and from them he chose twelve, whom he also named apostles:

15 Matteuksen ja Toomaan, Jakobin Alphein pojan, ja Simonin, joka kutsutaan Zelotes,
Matthew [Gift of Yah]; Thomas [Seeker of truth]; James [Surplanter], the son of Alphaeus [Changing]; Simeon [Hearing], who was called the Zealot [Zealous follower];
16 Juudaan Jakobin pojan, ja Juudas Iskariotin, joka myös oli pettäjä.
Judas [Praised] the son of James [Surplanter]; and Judas Iscariot [Praised Dagger-man], who also became a traitor.

He came down with them, and stood on a level place, with a crowd of his disciples, and a great number of the people from all Judea [Praise] and Jerusalem [City of peace], and the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, who came to hear him and to be healed of their diseases;
18 Ja jotka vaivattiin riettasilta hengiltä; ja he paranivat.
as well as those who were troubled by unclean spirits, and they were being healed.
19 Ja kaikki kansa pyysi häneen ruveta; sillä voima läksi hänestä ja paransi kaikki.
All the multitude sought to touch him, for power came out of him and healed them all.
20 Ja hän nosti silmänsä opetuslastensa puoleen, ja sanoi: autuaat te vaivaiset; sillä teidän on Jumalan valtakunta.
He lifted up his eyes to his disciples, and said, “Blessed are you who are poor, God’s Kingdom is yours.
21 Autuaat, jotka nyt isootte; sillä teidät ravitaan. Autuaat, jotka nyt itkette; sillä teidän pitää nauraman.
Blessed are you who hunger now, for you will be filled. Blessed are you who weep now, for you will laugh.
22 Autuaat olette te, kuin ihmiset vihaavat teitä, ja eroittavat teidät, ja pilkkaavat teitä, ja hylkäävät teidän nimenne niinkuin kelvottoman, Ihmisen Pojan tähden.
Blessed are you when men shall hate you, and when they shall exclude and mock you, and throw out your name as evil, for the Son of Man’s sake.
23 Iloitkaat sinä päivänä ja riemuitkaat, sillä katso, teidän palkkanne on suuri taivaassa; niin tekivät myös heidän isänsä prophetaille.
Rejoice in that day, and leap for joy, for behold, your reward is great in heaven, for their fathers did the same thing to the prophets.
24 Mutta voi teitä rikkaita! sillä teillä on teidän lohdutuksenne.
“But woe to you who are rich! For you have received your consolation.
25 Voi teitä, jotka ravitut olette! sillä teidän pitää isooman. Voi teitä, jotka nyt nauratte! sillä teidän pitää murehtiman ja itkemän.
Woe to you, you who are full now, for you will be hungry. Woe to you who laugh now, for you will mourn and weep.
26 Voi teitä, kuin kaikki ihmiset teitä kiittävät! sillä niin tekivät myös heidän isänsä väärille prophetoille.
Woe, when men speak well of you, for their fathers did the same thing to the false prophets.
27 Mutta minä sanon teille, jotka kuulette: rakastekaa vihollisianne: tehkäät hyvää niille, jotka teitä vihaavat:
“But I tell you who hear: show agapao ·total devotion love· to your enemies, do good to those who hate and detest you,
28 Siunatkaat niitä, jotka teitä kiroilevat: rukoilkaat niiden edestä, jotka teitä vahingoittavat.
bless those who curse you, and pray for those who mistreat you.
29 Ja joka sinua lyö poskelle, taritse myös hänelle toinen, ja joka sinulta vie kaapun, älä myös häneltä kiellä hametta.
To him who strikes you on the cheek, offer also the other; and from him who takes away your cloak, don’t withhold your coat also.
30 Vaan anna jokaiselle, joka sinulta anoo, ja siltä, joka sinun omas ottaa, älä jälleen ano.
Give to everyone who asks you, and don’t ask him who takes away your goods to give them back again.
31 Ja niinkuin te tahdotte, että ihmisten pitää teille tekemän, niin tehkäät te heillekin.
“As you would like people to do to you, do exactly so to them.
32 Ja jos te rakastatte niitä, jotka teitä rakastavat, mikä kiitos teille siitä on? sillä syntisetkin rakastavat niitä, joilta he rakastetaan.
If you show agapao ·total devoted love· those who show agapao ·total devoted love· you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners show agapao ·total devoted love· to those who show agapao ·total devoted love· to them.
33 Ja jos te teette hyvää hyväntekijöillenne, mikä kiitos teillä siinä on? sillä syntiset sen myös tekevät.
If you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same.
34 Ja jos te lainaatte niille, joilta te toivotte jälleen saavanne, mikä kiitos teillä siitä on? sillä syntisetkin lainaavat syntisille, että he tasan jälleen saisivat.
If you lend to those from whom you hope to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, to receive back as much.
35 Kuitenkin rakastakaat teidän vihollisianne ja tehkäät hyvää, ja lainatkaat, ja älkäät mitään siitä toivoko: niin teidän palkkanne on suuri, ja teidän pitää oleman Ylimmäisen pojat; sillä hän on laupias kiittämättömiä ja pahoja kohtaan.
But show agapao ·total devoted love· to your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing back; and your reward will be great, and you will be children of haElyon [the Most High]; for he is kind toward the unthankful and evil.
36 Olkaat sentähden laupiaat, niinkuin teidän Isännekin laupias on.
“Therefore be merciful, even as 'Avikah ·your Father· is also merciful.
37 Älkäät tuomitko, ettei teitä tuomittaisi: älkäät sadatelko, ettei teitä sadateltaisi: anteeksi antakaat, niin teille anteeksi annetaan.
Don’t judge, and you won’t be judged. Don’t condemn, and you won’t be condemned. Set free, and you will be set free.
38 Antakaat, ja teille annetaan: hyvän mitan, likistetyn ja sullotun, ja ylitsevuotavan he antavat teidän helmaanne; sillä juuri sillä mitalla, jolla te mittaatte, pitää teille jälleen mitattaman.
“Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be given to you. For with the same measure you measure it will be measured back to you.”
39 Mutta hän sanoi heille vertauksen: taitaako sokia sokiaa taluttaa? eikö he molemmat hautaan lankee?
He spoke a parable to them. “Can the blind guide the blind? Won’t they both fall into a pit?
40 Ei ole opetuslapsi ylitse mestarinsa, mutta jokainen on täydellinen, kuin hän on niinkuin hänen mestarinsa.
A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone when he is fully trained will be like his teacher.
41 Mutta kuinkas näet raiskan, joka on veljes silmässä, vaan et havaitse malkaa, joka on omassa silmässäs?
Why do you see the speck of chaff that is in your brother’s eye, but don’t consider the beam that is in your own eye?
42 Eli kuinkas taidat sanoa veljelles: veljeni, pidä, minä otan raiskan, joka on silmässäs, ja et itse näe malkaa, joka on omassa silmässäs? Sinä ulkokullattu, ota ensin malka omasta silmästäs, ja katso sitte, jos taidat ottaa raiskan, joka on veljes silmässä.
Or how can you tell your brother, ‘Brother, let me remove the speck of chaff that is in your eye,’ when you yourself don’t see the beam that is in your own eye? You hypocrite! First remove the beam from your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck of chaff that is in your brother’s eye.
43 Sillä ei ole se hyvä puu, joka tekee pahan hedelmän, eikä paha puu, joka tekee hyvän hedelmän.
For there is no good tree that produces rotten fruit; nor again a rotten tree that produces good fruit.
44 Sillä jokainen puu tunnetaan hedelmästänsä; sillä ei orjantappuroista koota fikunia, eikä ohdakkeista haeta viinamarjoja.
For each tree is known by its own fruit. For people don’t gather figs from thorns, nor do they gather grapes from a bramble bush.
45 Hyvä ihminen tuottaa edes sydämensä hyvästä tavarasta hyvää, ja paha ihminen sydämensä pahasta tavarasta tuottaa edes pahaa. Sillä sydämen kyllyydestä hänen suunsa puhuu.
The good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings out that which is good, and the evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings out that which is evil, for out of the abundance of the heart, his mouth speaks.
46 Mitä te siis minua kutsutte Herra, Herra! ja ette tee, mitä minä sanon?
“Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and don’t do the things which I say?
47 Kuka ikänä tulee minun tyköni, ja kuulee minun sanani, ja tekee ne, sen minä osoitan teille, kenen kaltainen hän on.
Everyone who comes to me, and hears my words, and does them, I will show you who he is like.
48 Hän on sen ihmisen kaltainen, joka huoneensa rakensi, ja kaivoi syvään, ja pani perustuksen kallion päälle. Kuin siis vuo tuli, sysäsi virta sitä huonetta, ja ei voinut häntä liikuttaa; sillä se oli perustettu kallion päälle.
He is like a man building a house, who dug and went deep, and laid a foundation on the rock. When a flood arose, the stream broke against that house, and could not shake it, because it was founded on the rock.
49 Mutta joka kuulee ja ei tee, se on sen ihmisen kaltainen, joka huoneensa rakensi maan päälle ilman perustusta, jota virta sysäsi, ja se kohta kukistui: jonka huoneen lankeemus oli suuri.
But he who hears, and does not do, is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream broke, and immediately it fell, and the ruin of that house was great.”
