Kolossalaisille 1
1 Paavali, Jesuksen Kristuksen apostoli Jumalan tahdon kautta, ja veli Timoteus,
Paul, an emissary of Messiah Yeshua through the will of God, and Timothy our brother,
2 Niille, jotka ovat Kolossissa, pyhille ja uskollisille veljille Kristuksessa: armo olkoon teille ja rauha Jumalalta meidän isältämme ja Herralta Jesukselta Kristukselta!
to the holy ones and faithful brothers in Messiah at Colossae: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Yeshua the Messiah.
3 Me kiitämme Jumalaa ja meidän Herran Jesuksen Kristuksen Isää, ja rukoilemme aina teidän edestänne,
We give thanks to God the Father of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, praying always for you,
4 Sittekuin me kuulimme teidän uskonne Kristuksessa Jesuksessa ja teidän rakkautenne kaikkia pyhiä kohtaan,
having heard of your faith in Messiah Yeshua and of the love which you have toward all the holy ones,
5 Sen toivon tähden, joka teille taivaissa tallelle pantu on, josta te ennen sen totisen evankeliumin saarnan kautta kuulleet olette,
because of the hope which is laid up for you in the heavens, of which you heard before in the word of the truth of the Good News
6 Joka teidän tykönne tullut on, niinkuin myös kaikkeen maailmaan, ja hedelmän kantaa, niinkuin teissäkin hamasta siitä päivästä, jona te sen kuulleet olette ja Jumalan armon totuudessa tunsitte;
which has come to you, even as it is in all the world and is bearing fruit and growing, as it does in you also, since the day you heard and knew the grace of God in truth,
7 Niinkuin te myös meidän rakkaalta kanssa palvelialtamme Epaphraalta opitte, joka teidän edestänne Kristuksen uskollinen palvelia on,
even as you learned from Epaphras our beloved fellow servant, who is a faithful servant of Messiah on your behalf,
8 Joka myös on meille ilmoittanut teidän rakkautenne hengessä.
who also declared to us your love in the Spirit.
9 Sentähden myös me siitä päivästä, jona me sen kuulimme, emme lakanneet teidän edestänne rukoilemasta ja anomasta, että te hänen tahtonsa tuntemisella täytettäisiin kaikkinaisessa hengellisessä viisaudessa ja toimessa,
For this cause, we also, since the day we heard this, don’t cease praying and making requests for you, that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,
10 Että te soveliaasti vaeltaisitte, kelvaten kaikissa Herralle, ja hedelmän tekisitte kaikissa hyvissä töissä ja kasvaisitte Jumalan tuntemisessa,
that you may walk worthily of the Lord, to please him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God,
11 Ja vahvistetuksi tulisitte kaikella voimalla, hänen kunniansa väkevyyden jälkeen, kaikkeen kärsivällisyyteen ja pitkämielisyyteen ilon kanssa.
strengthened with all power, according to the might of his glory, for all endurance and perseverance with joy,
12 Ja kiittäkäät Isää, joka meitä soveliaaksi tehnyt on pyhäin perimisen osallisuuteen valkeudessa,
giving thanks to the Father, who made us fit to be partakers of the inheritance of the holy ones in light,
13 Joka meitä pimeyden vallasta pelasti ja on meidät siirtänyt rakkaan Poikansa valtakuntaan,
who delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the Kingdom of the Son of his love,
14 Jonka kautta meillä on lunastus hänen verensä kautta, nimittäin syntein anteeksi antamus,
in whom we have our redemption, the forgiveness of our sins.
15 Joka näkymättömän Jumalan kuva on, esikoinen ennen kaikkia luontokappaleita.
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.
16 Sillä hänen kauttansa ovat kaikki luodut, jotka taivaassa ja maan päällä ovat, näkyväiset ja näkymättömät, thronit ja herraudet, vallat ja hallitukset: ne ovat kaikki hänen kauttansa ja häneen luodut.
For by him all things were created in the heavens and on the earth, visible things and invisible things, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things have been created through him and for him.
17 Ja hän on ennen kaikkia ja kaikki ovat hänessä.
He is before all things, and in him all things are held together.
18 Ja hän on ruumiin, nimittäin seurakunnan pää, joka on alku ja esikoinen kuolleista, että hän kaikkein ylitse kävis;
He is the head of the body, the assembly, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things he might have the preeminence.
19 Sillä niin kelpasi Isälle, että hänessä kokonainen täydellisyys asuis,
For all the fullness was pleased to dwell in him,
20 Ja kaikki olisivat hänen kauttansa hänen itse kanssansa sovitetut, sekä ne jotka maassa että ne jotka taivaissa ovat; sillä hän teki verensä kautta ristin päällä rauhan, itse kauttansa.
and through him to reconcile all things to himself by him, whether things on the earth or things in the heavens, having made peace through the blood of his cross.
21 Ja te olitte muinen oudot ja viholliset ymmärryksen puolesta, pahoissa töissä; mutta nyt hän on teidät sovittanut,
You, being in past times alienated and enemies in your mind in your evil deeds,
22 Lihansa ruumiissa kuoleman kautta, että hän teidät saattais pyhäksi, laittamattomaksi ja nuhteettomaksi kasvoinsa edessä.
yet now he has reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and without defect and blameless before him,
23 Jos te muutoin uskossa pysytte perustettuna ja vahvana ja horjumattomana evakeliumin toivosta, jonka te kuulitte, joka on saarnattu kaikkein luontokappalten edessä, jotka taivaan alla ovat; jonka palveliaksi minä Paavali tullut olen,
if it is so that you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the Good News which you heard, which is being proclaimed in all creation under heaven, of which I, Paul, was made a servant.
24 Joka nyt minun vaivoistani iloitsen, jotka minä kärsin teidän edestänne, ja täytän Kristuksen kärsimiset minun lihassani hänen ruumiinsa edestä, joka on seurakunta,
Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and fill up on my part that which is lacking of the afflictions of Messiah in my flesh for his body’s sake, which is the assembly,
25 Jonka palveliaksi minä tullut olen Jumalan toimituksen jälkeen, joka minulle teidän kohtaanne annettu on, täyttämään Jumalan sanaa;
of which I was made a servant according to the stewardship of God which was given me toward you to fulfill the word of God,

the mystery which has been hidden for ages and generations. But now it has been revealed to his holy ones, (aiōn g165)

to whom God was pleased to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Messiah in you, the hope of glory.

We proclaim him, admonishing every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Messiah Yeshua;
29 Jota minä myös ahkeroitsen ja hänen vaikutuksensa jälkeen kilvoittelen, joka minussa väkevästi vaikuttaa.
for which I also labor, striving according to his working, which works in me mightily.
