< Zephaniah 3 >

1 Woe [to] the rebellious and polluted, The oppressing city!
Ègbé ni fún ìlú aninilára, ọlọ̀tẹ̀ àti aláìmọ́.
2 She hath not hearkened to the voice, She hath not accepted instruction, In Jehovah she hath not trusted, Unto her God she hath not drawn near.
Òun kò gbọ́rọ̀ sí ẹnikẹ́ni, òun kò gba ìtọ́ni, òun kò gbẹ́kẹ̀lé Olúwa, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni òun kò súnmọ́ ọ̀dọ̀ Ọlọ́run rẹ̀.
3 Her heads in her midst [are] roaring lions, Her judges [are] evening wolves, They have not gnawn the bone in the morning.
Àwọn olórí rẹ̀ jẹ́ kìnnìún tí ń ké ramúramù, àwọn onídàájọ́ rẹ̀, ìkookò àṣálẹ́ ni wọn, wọn kò sì fi nǹkan kan kalẹ̀ fún òwúrọ̀.
4 Her prophets unstable — men of treachery, Her priests have polluted the sanctuary, They have violated the law.
Àwọn wòlíì rẹ̀ gbéraga, wọ́n sì jẹ́ alárékérekè ènìyàn. Àwọn àlùfáà rẹ̀ ti ba ibi mímọ́ jẹ́, wọ́n sì rú òfin.
5 Jehovah [is] righteous in her midst, He doth not do perverseness, Morning by morning His judgment he giveth to the light, It hath not been lacking, And the perverse doth not know shame.
Olúwa ni àárín rẹ̀ jẹ́ olódodo; kì yóò ṣe ohun tí kò tọ̀nà. Àràárọ̀ ni ó máa ń mú ìdájọ́ rẹ̀ wá sí ìmọ́lẹ̀, kì í sì kùnà ní gbogbo ọjọ́ tuntun, síbẹ̀ àwọn aláìṣòótọ́ kò mọ ìtìjú.
6 I have cut off nations, Desolated have been their chief ones, I have laid waste their out-places without any passing by, Destroyed have been their cities, Without man, without inhabitant.
“Èmi ti ké àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè kúrò, ilé gíga wọn sì ti bàjẹ́. Mo ti fi ìgboro wọn sílẹ̀ ní òfo tó bẹ́ẹ̀ tí ẹnìkankan kò kọjá níbẹ̀. Ìlú wọn parun tó bẹ́ẹ̀ tí kò sí ẹnìkan tí yóò ṣẹ́kù, kò sì ní sí ẹnìkan rárá.
7 I have said: Only, ye do fear Me, Ye do accept instruction, And her habitation is not cut off, All that I have appointed for her, But they have risen early, They have corrupted all their doings.
Èmi wí fún ìlú náà wí pé, ‘Nítòótọ́, ìwọ yóò bẹ̀rù mi, ìwọ yóò sì gba ìtọ́ni!’ Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni, a kì yóò ké ibùgbé rẹ̀ kúrò bí ó ti wù kí ń jẹ wọ́n ní yà tó. Ṣùgbọ́n síbẹ̀ wọ́n sì tún ní ìtara láti ṣe ìbàjẹ́.
8 Therefore, wait for Me — an affirmation of Jehovah, For the day of My rising for prey, For My judgment [is] to gather nations, To assemble kingdoms, To pour out on them Mine indignation, All the heat of Mine anger, For by the fire of My jealousy consumed is all the earth.
Nítorí náà ẹ dúró dè mí,” ni Olúwa wí, “títí di ọjọ́ náà tí èmi yóò fi jẹ́rìí sí yin. Nítorí ìpinnu mi ni láti kó orílẹ̀-èdè jọ kí èmi kí ó lè kó ilẹ̀ ọba jọ àti láti da ìbínú mi jáde sórí wọn, àní gbogbo ìbínú gbígbóná mi. Nítorí gbogbo ayé ni a ó fi iná owú mi jẹ run.
9 For then do I turn unto peoples a pure lip, To call all of them by the name of Jehovah, To serve Him [with] one shoulder.
“Nígbà náà ni èmi yóò yí èdè àwọn ènìyàn padà sí èdè mímọ́, nítorí kí gbogbo wọn bá a lè máa pe orúkọ Olúwa, láti fi ọkàn kan sìn ín.
10 From beyond the rivers of Cush, my supplicants, The daughter of My scattered ones, Do bring My present.
Láti òkè odò Etiopia, àwọn olùjọsìn mi, àwọn ènìyàn mi tí ó ti fọ́nká, yóò mú ọrẹ wá fún mi.
11 In that day thou art not ashamed because of any of thine actions, Wherewith thou hast transgressed against Me, For then do I turn aside from thy midst The exulting ones of thine excellency, And thou dost add no more to be haughty, In My holy mountain.
Ní ọjọ́ náà ni a kì yóò sì dójútì nítorí gbogbo iṣẹ́ ibi ni tí ó ti ṣẹ̀ sí mi, nígbà náà ni èmi yóò mu kúrò nínú ìlú yìí, àwọn tí ń yọ̀ nínú ìgbéraga wọn. Ìwọ kì yóò sì gbéraga mọ́ ní òkè mímọ́ mi.
12 And I have left in thy midst a people humble and poor, And they have trusted in the name of Jehovah.
Ṣùgbọ́n Èmi yóò fi àwọn ọlọ́kàn tútù àti onírẹ̀lẹ̀ sílẹ̀ pẹ̀lú ni àárín rẹ̀, wọn yóò sì gbẹ́kẹ̀lé orúkọ Olúwa.
13 The remnant of Israel do no perversity, nor speak lies, Nor found in their mouth is a deceitful tongue, For they have delight, and have lain down, And there is none troubling.
Àwọn ìyókù Israẹli kì yóò hùwà ibi, wọn kì yóò sọ̀rọ̀ èké. Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni a kì yóò rí ahọ́n àrékérekè ní ẹnu wọn. Àwọn yóò jẹun, wọn yóò sì dùbúlẹ̀, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni ẹnikẹ́ni kì yóò dẹ́rùbà wọ́n.”
14 Cry aloud, O daughter of Zion, shout, O Israel, Rejoice and exult with the whole heart, O daughter of Jerusalem.
Kọrin, ìwọ ọmọbìnrin Sioni, kígbe sókè, ìwọ Israẹli! Fi gbogbo ọkàn yọ̀, kí inú rẹ kí ó sì dùn, ìwọ ọmọbìnrin Jerusalẹmu.
15 Jehovah hath turned aside thy judgments, He hath faced thine enemy, The king of Israel, Jehovah, [is] in thy midst, Thou seest evil no more.
Olúwa ti mú ìdájọ́ rẹ wọ̀n-ọn-nì kúrò, ó sì ti ti àwọn ọ̀tá rẹ padà sẹ́yìn. Olúwa, ọba Israẹli wà pẹ̀lú rẹ; ìwọ kì yóò sì bẹ̀rù ibi kan mọ́.
16 In that day it is said to Jerusalem, 'Fear not, O Zion, let not thy hands be feeble.
Ní ọjọ́ náà, wọn yóò sọ fún Jerusalẹmu pé, “Má ṣe bẹ̀rù Sioni; má sì ṣe jẹ́ kí ọwọ́ rẹ kí ó dẹ̀.
17 Jehovah thy God [is] in thy midst, A mighty one doth save, He rejoiceth over thee with joy, He doth work in His love, He joyeth over thee with singing.'
Olúwa Ọlọ́run rẹ wà pẹ̀lú rẹ, Ó ní agbára láti gbà ọ là. Yóò yọ̀ ni orí rẹ fún ayọ̀; Yóò tún ọ ṣe nínú ìfẹ́ rẹ̀, Yóò sì fi orin yọ̀ ní orí rẹ.”
18 Mine afflicted from the appointed place I have gathered, from thee they have been, Bearing for her sake reproach.
“Èmi ó kó àwọn tí ó ń banújẹ́ fún àjọ̀dún tí a yàn jọ, àwọn tí ó jẹ́ tirẹ̀; àwọn tí ẹ̀gàn rẹ̀ jásí ẹ̀rù.
19 Lo, I am dealing with all afflicting thee at that time, And I have saved the halting one, And the driven out ones I do gather, And have set them for a praise and for a name, In all the land of their shame.
Ní àkókò náà ni èmi yóò dojúkọ àwọn tí ń ni yín lára, èmi yóò gba àtiro là, èmi yóò sì ṣa àwọn tí ó ti fọ́nká jọ, èmi yóò fi ìyìn àti ọlá fún wọn ní gbogbo ilẹ̀ tí a bá ti dójútì wọ́n.
20 At that time I bring you in, Even at the time of My assembling you, For I give you for a name, and for a praise, Among all peoples of the land, In My turning back [to] your captivity before your eyes, said Jehovah!
Ní àkókò náà ni èmi yóò ṣà yín jọ; nígbà náà ni èmi yóò mú un yín padà wá sílé. Èmi yóò fi ọlá àti ìyìn fún un yín láàrín gbogbo ènìyàn àgbáyé, nígbà tí èmi yóò yí ìgbèkùn yín padà bọ sípò ní ojú ara yín,” ni Olúwa wí.
