Revelation 13
1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and I saw out of the sea a beast coming up, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon its horns ten diadems, and upon its heads a name of evil speaking,
Y yo me paré sobre la arena de la mar. Y ví una bestia subir de la mar, que tenía siete cabezas, y diez cuernos; y sobre sus cuernos diez diademas; y sobre las cabezas de ella un nombre de blasfemia.
2 and the beast that I saw was like to a leopard, and its feet as of a bear, and its mouth as the mouth of a lion, and the dragon did give to it his power, and his throne, and great authority.
Y la bestia que ví, era semejante a un leopardo, y sus pies como pies de oso, y su boca como boca de león. Y el dragón le dio su poder, y su trono, y grande potestad.
3 And I saw one of its heads as slain to death, and its deadly stroke was healed, and all the earth did wonder after the beast,
Y ví la una de sus cabezas como herida de muerte, y la llaga de su muerte fue curada; y hubo admiración en toda la tierra detrás de la bestia.
4 and they did bow before the dragon who did give authority to the beast, and they did bow before the beast, saying, 'Who [is] like to the beast? who is able to war with it?'
Y adoraron al dragón que había dado la potestad a la bestia; y adoraron a la bestia, diciendo: ¿Quién es semejante a la bestia, y quién podrá batallar contra ella?
5 And there was given to it a mouth speaking great things, and evil-speakings, and there was given to it authority to make war forty-two months,
Y le fue dada boca que hablaba grandes cosas, y blasfemias; y le fue dado de hacer la guerra cuarenta y dos meses.
6 and it did open its mouth for evil-speaking toward God, to speak evil of His name, and of His tabernacle, and of those who in the heaven tabernacle,
Y abrió su boca en blasfemias contra Dios, para blasfemar su nombre, y su tabernáculo, y a los que moran en el cielo.
7 and there was given to it to make war with the saints, and to overcome them, and there was given to it authority over every tribe, and tongue, and nation.
Y le fue dado hacer guerra contra los santos, y vencerlos. También le fue dado poder sobre toda tribu, y pueblo, y lengua, y nación:
8 And bow before it shall all who are dwelling upon the land, whose names have not been written in the scroll of the life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world;
Y todos los que moran en la tierra la adorarán, cuyos nombres no están escritos en el libro de la vida del Cordero, el cual fue inmolado desde el principio del mundo.
9 if any one hath an ear — let him hear:
Si alguno tiene oído, oiga.
10 if any one a captivity doth gather, into captivity he doth go away; if any one by sword doth kill, it behoveth him by sword to be killed; here is the endurance and the faith of the saints.
El que lleva en cautividad, en cautividad irá: el que a cuchillo matare, es necesario que a cuchillo sea muerto. Aquí está la paciencia, y fe de los santos.
11 And I saw another beast coming up out of the land, and it had two horns, like a lamb, and it was speaking as a dragon,
Después ví otra bestia que subía de la tierra, y tenía dos cuernos semejantes a los de un cordero, mas hablaba como un dragón.
12 and all the authority of the first beast doth it do before it, and it maketh the land and those dwelling in it that they shall bow before the first beast, whose deadly stroke was healed,
Y ejerce toda la potencia de la primera bestia en presencia de ella; y hace a la tierra, y a los moradores de ella adorar la primera bestia, cuya herida de muerte fue curada.
13 and it doth great signs, that fire also it may make to come down from the heaven to the earth before men,
Y hace grandes señales, de tal manera que aun hace descender fuego del cielo a la tierra delante de los hombres.
14 and it leadeth astray those dwelling on the land, because of the signs that were given it to do before the beast, saying to those dwelling upon the land to make an image to the beast that hath the stroke of the sword and did live,
Y engaña a los moradores de la tierra por medio de las señales que le han sido dadas para hacer en presencia de la bestia, diciendo a los moradores de la tierra, que hagan la imagen de la bestia, que tiene la herida de espada, y vivió.
15 and there was given to it to give a spirit to the image of the beast, that also the image of the beast may speak, and [that] it may cause as many as shall not bow before the image of the beast, that they may be killed.
Y le fue dado que diese aliento a la imagen de la bestia, a fin de que la imagen de la bestia hablase, y también hiciese que cualesquiera que no adoraren la imagen de la bestia, fuesen matados.
16 And it maketh all, the small, and the great, and the rich, and the poor, and the freemen, and the servants, that it may give to them a mark upon their right hand or upon their foreheads,
Y hace a todos los pequeños y grandes, ricos y pobres, libres y siervos, tomar una señal en su mano derecha, o en sus frentes;
17 and that no one may be able to buy, or to sell, except he who is having the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
Y que ninguno pueda comprar o vender, sino el que tiene la señal, o el nombre de la bestia, o el número de su nombre.
18 Here is the wisdom! He who is having the understanding, let him count the number of the beast, for the number of a man it is, and its number [is] six hundred and sixty six.
Aquí hay sabiduría. El que tiene entendimiento, cuente el número de la bestia; porque el número es del hombre, y el número de ella es Seiscientos sesenta y seis.
