Psalms 54

1 To the Overseer with stringed instruments. — An instruction, by David, in the coming in of the Ziphim, and they say to Saul, 'Is not David hiding himself with us?' O God, by Thy name save me, and by Thy might judge me.

Para el director del coro. Con instrumentos de cuerda. Un Salmo (masquil) de David, cuando los Zifitas vinieron a Saúl y le dijeron, “David se está escondiendo entre nosotros”. ¡Sálvame! ¡Oh, Dios! Por tu carácter, por favor ¡Sálvame! ¡Reivindícame por tu poder!

2 O God, hear my prayer, Give ear to the sayings of my mouth,

Por favor, Dios, escucha mi oración; escucha lo que digo.

3 For strangers have risen up against me And terrible ones have sought my soul, They have not set God before them. (Selah)

Porque extraños están viniendo a atacarme. Hombres violentos que no creen en Dios están intentando matarme. (Selah)

4 Lo, God [is] a helper to me, The Lord [is] with those supporting my soul,

Pero Dios me ayuda; ¡El Señor salva mi vida!

5 Turn back doth the evil thing to mine enemies, In Thy truth cut them off.

El mal que mis enemigos han hecho vendrá sobre ellos. Dependo de ti para destruirlos.

6 With a free will-offering I sacrifice to Thee, I thank Thy name, O Jehovah, for [it is] good,

Felizmente ofreceré sacrificio a ti; te alabaré, Señor, porque tú eres bueno.

7 For, from all adversity He delivered me, And on mine enemies hath mine eye looked!

Porque él me ha salvado de todos mis problemas; y he visto a todos los que me odiaban vencidos.
