Psalms 29

1 A Psalm of David. Ascribe to Jehovah, ye sons of the mighty, Ascribe to Jehovah honour and strength.

দাউদের গীত। হে ঈশ্বরের সন্তানেরা, সদাপ্রভুর কীর্তন করো, তাঁর মহিমা ও পরাক্রম কীর্তন করো।

2 Ascribe to Jehovah the honour of His name, Bow yourselves to Jehovah, In the beauty of holiness.

তাঁর নামের মহিমার কীর্তন করো, পবিত্র শোভায় সদাপ্রভুর আরাধনা করো।

3 The voice of Jehovah [is] on the waters, The God of glory hath thundered, Jehovah [is] on many waters.

জলের উপর সদাপ্রভুর কণ্ঠস্বর শোনা যায়; মহিমার ঈশ্বর বজ্রধ্বনি করেন, মহাজলরাশির উপরে সদাপ্রভু বজ্রধ্বনি করেন।

4 The voice of Jehovah [is] with power, The voice of Jehovah [is] with majesty,

সদাপ্রভুর কণ্ঠস্বর শক্তিশালী; সদাপ্রভুর কণ্ঠস্বর মহিমান্বিত।

5 The voice of Jehovah [is] shivering cedars, Yea, Jehovah shivers the cedars of Lebanon.

সদাপ্রভুর কণ্ঠস্বর দেবদারু গাছ ভেঙে দেয়; লেবাননের দেবদারুবন ছিন্নভিন্ন করেন।

6 And He causeth them to skip as a calf, Lebanon and Sirion as a son of Reems,

তিনি লেবাননের পর্বতমালাকে বাছুরের মতো নাচিয়ে তোলেন, বন্য ষাঁড়ের মতো সিরিয়োণকে করেন।

7 The voice of Jehovah is hewing fiery flames,

সদাপ্রভুর কণ্ঠস্বর বজ্রবিদ্যুতের ঝলকের সাথে আঘাত করে।

8 The voice of Jehovah paineth a wilderness, Jehovah paineth the wilderness of Kadesh.

সদাপ্রভুর কণ্ঠস্বর মরুভূমি কাঁপিয়ে দেয়; সদাপ্রভু কাদেশের মরুভূমি কাঁপিয়ে তোলে।

9 The voice of Jehovah paineth the oaks, And maketh bare the forests, And in His temple every one saith, 'Glory.'

সদাপ্রভুর কণ্ঠস্বর ওক গাছ দুমড়ে-মুচড়ে দেয় এবং অরণ্য অনাবৃত করে। এবং তাঁর মন্দিরে সকলে বলে “মহিমা!”

10 Jehovah on the deluge hath sat, And Jehovah sitteth king — to the age,

সদাপ্রভু মহাপ্লাবনের উপর অধিষ্ঠিত; সদাপ্রভু চিরকালের জন্য অধিষ্ঠিত রাজা।

11 Jehovah strength to his people giveth, Jehovah blesseth His people with peace!

সদাপ্রভু তাঁর লোকদের শক্তি দেন; সদাপ্রভু তাঁর লোকদের শান্তি দিয়ে আশীর্বাদ করেন।
