Psalms 126

1 A Song of the Ascents. In Jehovah's turning back [to] the captivity of Zion, We have been as dreamers.

Cantique graduel. Quand l'Éternel ramenait les captifs de Sion, c'était pour nous comme un songe.

2 Then filled [with] laughter is our mouth, And our tongue [with] singing, Then do they say among nations, 'Jehovah did great things with these.'

Alors nos bouches se remplirent de cris de joie, et notre langue, de chants d'allégresse. On disait parmi les nations: « L'Éternel a fait de grandes choses pour eux. »

3 Jehovah did great things with us, We have been joyful.

Oui, l'Éternel a fait de grandes choses pour nous, c'est ce qui nous rend joyeux.

4 Turn again, O Jehovah, [to] our captivity, As streams in the south.

Éternel, ramène nos captifs, comme des ruisseaux dans la terre du midi.

5 Those sowing in tears, with singing do reap,

Ceux qui sèment avec larmes, moissonneront avec des cris de joie:

6 Whoso goeth on and weepeth, Bearing the basket of seed, Surely cometh in with singing, bearing his sheaves!

le semeur s'avance en pleurant, portant la semence qu'il jette; il revient tout joyeux chargé de ses gerbes.
