< Philemon 1 >

1 Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus, and Timotheus the brother, to Philemon our beloved and fellow-worker,
Kri Jesu pongah thongim krah, Pawl hoi aicae amnawk Timote mah, a palung o ih, tok nawnto sah ampui Filemon,
2 and Apphia the beloved, and Archippus our fellow-soldier, and the assembly in thy house:
a palung o ih tanuh Apphia, aicae hoi misa nawnto tuh Arkhipa hoi na im ah amkhueng kricaanawk khaeah ca tarik:
3 Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ!
Angraeng Jesu Kri hoi aicae Ampa Sithaw khae hoi ih tahmenhaih hoi monghaih to nangcae khaeah om nasoe.
4 I give thanks to my God, always making mention of thee in my prayers,
Angraeng, Jesu tanghaih na tawnh moe, kaciim kaminawk boih to na palung ti, tiah ka thaih naah, ka Sithaw khaeah kawnhaih lawk ka thuih toepsoep;
5 hearing of thy love and faith that thou hast unto the Lord Jesus and toward all the saints,
6 that the fellowship of thy faith may become working in the full knowledge of every good thing that [is] in you toward Christ Jesus;
Jesu Kri ah na tawnh ih kahoih hmuennawk boih na panoekhaih rang hoiah, minawk khaeah tanghaih kawng na thuih naah caak o thai tangtang hanah lawk ka thuih.
7 for we have much joy and comfort in thy love, because the bowels of the saints have been refreshed through thee, brother.
Kam nawk, kaciim kaminawk ih palungthin to nang thasak let pongah, to baktih nam lunghaih mah kaicae han thuilaek ai anghoehaih to ang paek.
8 Wherefore, having in Christ much boldness to command thee that which is fit —
To pongah ni Kri ah misa ka hoih parai moe, na sak han koi kahoih hmuen to sak hanah, lok kang thuih thaih,
9 because of the love I rather entreat, being such an one as Paul the aged, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ;
toe saning kacoeh, Jesu Kri ih thongkrah kami ah kaom kai Pawl mah, amlunghaih hoiah ni tahmenhaih kang hnik.
10 I entreat thee concerning my child — whom I did beget in my bonds — Onesimus,
Thongim krak nathung ka capa ah sak ih, Onesima hanah tahmenhaih kang hnik pae:
11 who once was to thee unprofitable, and now is profitable to me and to thee,
anih loe canghniah nang han avanghaih om ai, toe vaihi loe nang hoi kai hanah atho kaom kami ah oh boeh.
12 whom I did send again, and thou him (that is, my own bowels) receive,
Anih to nang khaeah kang patoeh let: anih to kai thung hoi tacawt kami baktih toengah talawk ah:
13 whom I did wish to retain to myself, that in thy behalf he might minister to me in the bonds of the good news,
kahoih tamthanglok ka thuih pongah thongim ka krak naah kai khetzawn hanah, nang zuengah anih to kaimah khaeah ohsak han ka koeh:
14 and apart from thy mind I willed to do nothing, that as of necessity thy good deed may not be, but of willingness,
toe nang bomhaih loe tha hoiah saksak nganga ih baktiah om ai ah, na sak koehhaih palungthin hoiah saksak han ih ni kang koeh haih, to pongah nang naakrakhaih om ai ah loe tidoeh sak han ka koeh ai.
15 for perhaps because of this he did depart for an hour, that age-duringly thou mayest have him, (aiōnios g166)
Anih hoi nawnto dungzan ah na oh han ih kalang mue, anih mah nawnetta thung ang cawnhtaak. (aiōnios g166)
16 no more as a servant, but above a servant — a brother beloved, especially to me, and how much more to thee, both in the flesh and in the Lord!
Toe anih loe vaihi tamna ah om ai boeh, tamna pongah sang boeh, kai hanah loe palung ih kam nawk baktiah ni oh, nang han cae loe taksa hoi Angraeng ah kawkruk maw palung ih amnawk baktiah om aep tih?
17 If, then, with me thou hast fellowship, receive him as me,
Kai hae toksah ampui ah na poek nahaeloe, anih doeh kai baktih toengah talawk ah.
18 and if he did hurt to thee, or doth owe anything, this to me be reckoning;
Nang khaeah hmuen sakpazaehaih maw, pathok han koi laiba maw om nahaeloe, kai taham ah suem ah.
19 I, Paul did write with my hand, I — I will repay; that I may not say that also thyself, besides, to me thou dost owe.
Kai, Pawl mah kaimah ih ban hoi roe ca kang tarik: toe kaimah kang rong pae han, na hinghaih ah kai khae laiba na tawnh, tiah kang thuih han angai ai.
20 Yes, brother, may I have profit of thee in the Lord; refresh my bowels in the Lord;
Ue, kam nawk, Angraeng ah anghoehaih na paek ah: Angraeng ah kai ih palungthin to angthasak ah.
21 having been confident in thy obedience I did write to thee, having known that also above what I may say thou wilt do;
Ka lok nang tahngai pae tih, tiah oephaih ka tawnh, to khue ai kang hnik ih hmuen pongah doeh kapop kueah na sah tih, tiah panoekhaih hoiah ni ca kang tarik.
22 and at the same time also prepare for me a lodging, for I hope that through your prayers I shall be granted to you.
Toe pacoengah, ka toemh han ih ahmuen to paroep coek ah: lawk na thuih o haih rang hoiah nangcae khaeah kang zo thai tih, tiah ka poek.
23 Salute thee doth Epaphras, (my fellow-captive in Christ Jesus, )
Kri Jesu ah kai hoi nawnto thongim krah Epaphra mah ban ang sin o;
24 Markus, Aristarchus, Demas, Lukas, my fellow-workmen!
tok nawnto sah kami Marka, Aristarka, Dema hoi Luka cae mah doeh ban ang sin o.
25 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ [is] with your spirit! Amen.
Aicae Angraeng Jesu Kri tahmenhaih loe nangcae ih muithla hoi nawnto om nasoe.
