Jeremiah 28

1 And it cometh to pass, in that year, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the fourth year, in the fifth month, spoken unto me hath Hananiah son of Azur the prophet, who [is] of Gibeon, in the house of Jehovah, before the eyes of the priests, and all the people, saying,

Et cette même année, au commencement du règne de Sédécias, roi de Juda, la quatrième année, le cinquième mois, Ananias, fils de Hazzur, prophète, de Gabaon, me dit dans la maison de l'Éternel, en présence des sacrificateurs et de tout le peuple, ces paroles:

2 'Thus spake Jehovah of Hosts, God of Israel, saying, I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon;

Ainsi parle l'Éternel des armées, Dieu d'Israël: Je brise le joug du roi de Babel.

3 Within two years of days I am bringing back unto this place all the vessels of the house of Jehovah that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon hath taken from this place, and doth carry to Babylon,

Encore deux années, et je ramène en ce lieu tous les meubles de la maison de l'Éternel, que Nébucadnézar, roi de Babel, a enlevés de ce lieu, et qu'il a transportés à Babel.

4 And Jeconiah son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, and all the removed of Judah, who are entering Babylon, I am bringing back unto this place — an affirmation of Jehovah; for I do break the yoke of the king of Babylon.'

Et Jéchonias, fils de Jéhojakim, roi de Juda, et tous les captifs de Juda, qui sont allés à Babel, je les ramènerai en ce lieu, dit l'Éternel, car je briserai le joug du roi de Babel.

5 And Jeremiah the prophet saith unto Hananiah the prophet, before the eyes of the priests, and before the eyes of all the people who are standing in the house of Jehovah,

Alors Jérémie, le prophète, parla à Ananias, le prophète, en présence des sacrificateurs et en présence de tout le peuple qui se tenait dans la maison de l'Éternel;

6 Yea, Jeremiah the prophet saith, 'Amen! so may Jehovah do; Jehovah establish thy words that thou hast prophesied, to bring back the vessels of the house of Jehovah and all the removal from Babylon, unto this place.

et Jérémie, le prophète, dit: Ainsi soit-il! ainsi fasse l'Éternel! que l'Éternel donne effet aux paroles que tu as prophétisées, en ramenant les meubles de la maison de l'Éternel et tous les captifs de Babel en ce lieu!

7 'Only, hear, I pray thee, this word that I am speaking in thine ears, and in the ears of all the people.

Seulement écoute cette parole que je prononce à tes oreilles, et aux oreilles de tout le peuple!

8 The prophets who have been before me, and before thee, from of old, even they prophesy concerning many lands, and concerning great kingdoms, of battle, and of evil, and of pestilence.

Les prophètes qui parurent avant moi et avant toi dès les anciens temps, ont dans leurs prophéties menacé beaucoup de pays, et de grands royaumes, de la guerre, et du désastre et de la peste.

9 The prophet who doth prophesy of peace — by the coming in of the word of the prophet, known is the prophet that Jehovah hath truly sent him.'

Le prophète qui prophétise le salut, est, quand la parole de ce prophète se réalise, reconnu comme le prophète que l'Éternel envoie véritablement.

10 And Hananiah the prophet taketh the yoke from off the neck of Jeremiah the prophet, and breaketh it,

Alors Ananias, le prophète, ôta le joug du col de Jérémie, le prophète, et le brisa.

11 And Hananiah speaketh before the eyes of all the people, saying, 'Thus said Jehovah, Thus I break the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, within two years of days, from off the neck of all the nations;' and Jeremiah the prophet goeth on his way.

Et Ananias parla en présence de tout le peuple en disant: Ainsi parle l'Éternel: De même je briserai le joug de Nébucadnézar, roi de Babel, dans deux ans, l'ôtant du col de tous les peuples. Et le prophète Jérémie alla son chemin.

12 And there is a word of Jehovah unto Jeremiah after the breaking, by Hananiah the prophet, of the yoke from off the neck of Jeremiah the prophet, saying,

Et la parole de l'Éternel fut adressée à Jérémie, après que Ananias, le prophète, eut brisé le joug qu'il avait ôté du col de Jérémie, le prophète, en ces mots:

13 'Go, and thou hast spoken unto Hananiah, saying, Thus said Jehovah, Yokes of wood thou hast broken, and I have made instead of them yokes of iron;

Va, et parle à Ananias, et lui dis: Ainsi parle l'Éternel: Tu as brisé un joug de bois, et tu l'as remplacé par un joug de fer.

14 For thus said Jehovah of Hosts, God of Israel, A yoke of iron I have put on the neck of all these nations to serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and they have served him, and also the beast of the field I have given to him.'

Car ainsi parle l'Éternel des armées, Dieu d'Israël: Je mets un joug de fer sur le col de tous ces peuples, pour qu'ils soient asservis à Nébucadnézar, roi de Babel; et ils lui seront asservis; et les bêtes des champs, je les lui donne aussi.

15 And Jeremiah the prophet saith unto Hananiah the prophet, 'Hear, I pray thee, O Hananiah; Jehovah hath not sent thee, and thou hast caused this people to trust on falsehood.

Et Jérémie, le prophète, dit à Ananias, le prophète: Écoute, Ananias! l'Éternel ne t'a point envoyé, et tu as fait que ce peuple se fie au mensonge;

16 Therefore thus said Jehovah, Lo, I am casting thee from off the face of the ground; this year thou diest, for apostasy thou hast spoken concerning Jehovah.'

c'est pourquoi ainsi parle l'Éternel: Voici, je t'ôterai de la terre; cette année tu mourras; car tu as prêché la révolte contre l'Éternel.

17 And Hananiah the prophet dieth in that year, in the seventh month.

Et Ananias, le prophète, mourut cette année-là, dans le septième mois.
