Isaiah 44
1 And now, hear, O Jacob, My servant, And Israel, whom I have fixed on:
೧ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ಯಾಕೋಬೇ, ನಾನು ಆದುಕೊಂಡ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲೇ, ಈಗ ಕೇಳು:
2 Thus said Jehovah, thy Maker, and thy Former, From the womb He doth help thee; Fear not, my servant Jacob, And Jeshurun, whom I have fixed on.
೨ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಾಣಮಾಡಿ, ಗರ್ಭದಿಂದಲೂ ರೂಪಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದು ನಿನಗೆ ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡುವವನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಹೀಗೆನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ, “ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ಯಾಕೋಬೇ, ನಾನು ಆದುಕೊಂಡ ಯೆಶುರೂನೇ, ಭಯಪಡಬೇಡ!
3 For I pour waters on a thirsty one, And floods on a dry land, I pour My Spirit on thy seed, And My blessing on thine offspring.
೩ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಬತ್ತಿದ ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಳೆಗರೆದು ಒಣನೆಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಲುವೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹರಿಸುವೆನು, ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂತಾನದವರಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮವನ್ನು, ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂತತಿಯವರ ಮೇಲೆ ನನ್ನ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದವನ್ನು ಸುರಿಸುವೆನು.
4 And they have sprung up as among grass, As willows by streams of water.
೪ನೀರಿನ ಕಾಲುವೆಗಳ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಸಿರು ಹುಲ್ಲಿನ ನಡುವೆ ಬೆಳೆಯುವ ನೀರವಂಜಿಗಳಂತೆ ವೃದ್ಧಿಯಾಗುವರು.
5 This [one] saith, For Jehovah I [am], And this calleth [himself] by the name of Jacob, And this [one] writeth [with] his hand, 'For Jehovah,' and by the name of Israel surnameth himself.
೫(ಅನ್ಯಜನರಲ್ಲಿ) ಒಬ್ಬನು, ‘ನಾನು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಭಕ್ತನು’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು. ಇನ್ನೊಬ್ಬನು, ‘ನಾನು ಯಾಕೋಬ್ಯನ ಹೆಸರಿನವನು’ ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನು ತನ್ನ ಕೈಯ ಮೇಲೆ, ‘ದಾಸನು’ ಎಂದು ಬರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಎಂಬ ಬಿರುದನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು.”
6 Thus said Jehovah, king of Israel, And his Redeemer, Jehovah of Hosts: 'I [am] the first, and I the last, And besides Me there is no God.
೬ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಅರಸನೂ, ವಿಮೋಚಕನೂ ಆಗಿರುವ ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಹೀಗೆನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ, “ನಾನೇ ಆದಿಯೂ, ನಾನೇ ಅಂತ್ಯವೂ. ನನ್ನ ಹೊರತು ಬೇರೆ ಯಾವ ದೇವರೂ ಇಲ್ಲ.
7 And who as I, doth call and declare it, And arrange it for Me, Since My placing the people of antiquity, And things that are coming, And those that do come, declare they to them?
೭ನಾನು ಪುರಾತನ ಕಾಲದವರನ್ನು ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿದಂದಿನಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಹಾಗೆ ಯಾರು ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ? ಅಂಥವರಿದ್ದರೆ ನನ್ನೆದುರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಲಿ. ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಮುಂದಿನವುಗಳನ್ನು ಈಗ ತಿಳಿಸಲಿ, ಭವಿಷ್ಯತ್ತುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳಲಿ.
8 Fear not, nor be afraid, Have I not from that time caused thee to hear, and declared? And ye [are] My witnesses, Is there a God besides Me? yea, there is none, A Rock I have not known.
೮ಹೆದರಬೇಡಿರಿ, ಭಯಪಡಬೇಡಿರಿ! ನಾನು ಪೂರ್ವದಿಂದಲೂ ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳಿ ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಿಕೊಂಡೆನಷ್ಟೆ. ನೀವೇ ನನ್ನ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಗಳು. ನಾನಲ್ಲದೆ ಇನ್ನೊಬ್ಬ ದೇವರಿದ್ದಾನೋ? ಇನ್ನು ಯಾವ ಶರಣನೂ ಇಲ್ಲ, ಯಾರೂ ನನಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ.”
9 Framers of a graven image [are] all of them emptiness, And their desirable things do not profit, And their own witnesses they [are], They see not, nor know, that they may be ashamed.
೯ವಿಗ್ರಹ ಕೆತ್ತುವವರೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಿರರ್ಥಕರು, ಅವರ ಇಷ್ಟದ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳು ಯಾವುದಕ್ಕೂ ಉಪಯೋಗವಿಲ್ಲ, ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳ ಪಕ್ಷದ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಗಾರರು ನೋಡುವವರಲ್ಲ, ಗ್ರಹಿಸುವವರಲ್ಲ, ಅವರು ನಾಚಿಕೆಗೆ ಗುರಿಯಾಗುವರು.
10 Who hath formed a god, And a molten image poured out — not profitable?
೧೦ದೇವತೆಯನ್ನು ರೂಪಿಸುವವರೂ, ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಿಗ್ರಹವನ್ನು ಎರಕ ಹೊಯ್ಯುವವರೂ ಎಂಥವರು?
11 Lo, all his companions are ashamed, As to artisans — they [are] of men, All of them gather together, they stand up, They fear, they are ashamed together.
೧೧ವಿಗ್ರಹ ಶರಣರೆಲ್ಲಾ ಆಶಾಭಂಗಪಡುವರು, ಅದನ್ನು ಕೆತ್ತಿದವರು ಮನುಷ್ಯಮಾತ್ರದವರೇ. ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರು ಒಟ್ಟುಗೂಡಿಕೊಂಡು ನಿಲ್ಲಲಿ. ಅವರು ಒಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಹೆದರಿಕೊಂಡು ಲಜ್ಜೆಪಡುವರು.
12 He hath wrought iron [with] an axe, And hath wrought with coals, And with hammers doth form it, And doth work it by his powerful arm, Yea, he is hungry, and there is no power, He doth not drink water, and he is wearied.
೧೨ಕಮ್ಮಾರನು ತನ್ನ ಸಲಕರಣೆಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಕೆಂಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲಸಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ, ಚಮಟಿಕೆಗಳಿಂದ ಬಡಿದು ತೋಳಿನ ಬಲದಿಂದ ವಿಗ್ರಹವನ್ನು ರೂಪಿಸುವನು. ಅವನು ಹಸಿದು ಬಳಲುವನು, ನೀರಿಲ್ಲದೆ ದಣಿಯುವನು.
13 He hath wrought [with] wood, He hath stretched out a rule, He doth mark it out with a line, He maketh it with carving tools, And with a compass he marketh it out, And maketh it according to the form of a man, According to the beauty of a man, To remain in the house.
೧೩ಬಡಗಿಯು ಮರಕ್ಕೆ ನೂಲು ಹಾಕಿ ಮೊಳೆಯಿಂದ ಗೆರೆಯೆಳೆದು ಬಾಚಿಗಳಿಂದ ಕೆತ್ತಿ, ಕೈವಾರದಿಂದ ಗುರುತಿಸಿ, ಅದು ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸತಕ್ಕದ್ದಾಗಲೆಂದು ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಆಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ತಂದು ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಅಂದದಂತೆ ರೂಪಿಸುವನು.
14 Cutting down to himself cedars, He taketh also a cypress, and an oak, And he strengtheneth [it] for himself Among the trees of a forest, He hath planted an ash, and the shower doth nourish [it].
೧೪ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಕೆಲಸಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ದೇವದಾರುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಡಿಯುವನು, ತುರಾಯಿ, ಅಲ್ಲೋನ್ ಮರಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು. ವನವೃಕ್ಷಗಳನ್ನು ತನಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಬೆಳೆಯುವನು. ಅವನು ಪೀತದಾರವನ್ನು ನೆಡಲು, ಮಳೆಯು ಅದನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸುವುದು.
15 And it hath been for man to burn, And he taketh of them, and becometh warm, Yea, he kindleth [it], and hath baked bread, Yea, he maketh a god, and boweth himself, He hath made it a graven image, And he falleth down to it.
೧೫ಅದು ಸೌದೆಗಾಗುವುದು. ಅದರಿಂದ ಬೆಂಕಿಯನ್ನು ಉರಿಸಿ ಚಳಿಕಾಯಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು. ಅವನು ಬೆಂಕಿಯನ್ನು ಹಚ್ಚಿ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಸುಡುವನು. ಅದರಲ್ಲೇ ಒಂದು ದೇವರನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಪೂಜಿಸುವನು, ವಿಗ್ರಹವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಡ್ಡಬೀಳುವನು.
16 Half of it he hath burnt in the fire, By [this] half of it he eateth flesh, He roasteth a roasting, and is satisfied, Yea, he is warm, and saith: 'Aha, I have become warm, I have enjoyed the light.
೧೬ಒಂದು ಭಾಗವನ್ನು ಬೆಂಕಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಉರಿಸುವನು, ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಮಾಂಸವನ್ನು ಸುಡುವನು. ಅದನ್ನು ತಿಂದು ತೃಪ್ತನಾಗುವನು. ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಾಯಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾ, “ಆಹಾ, ಬೆಂಕಿಯನ್ನು ಕಂಡೆ, ಬೆಚ್ಚಗಾಯಿತು” ಎಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು.
17 And its remnant for a god he hath made — For his graven image, He falleth down to it, and worshippeth, And prayeth unto it, and he saith, 'Deliver me, for my god thou [art].'
೧೭ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿದ ಭಾಗವನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ದೇವರನ್ನಾಗಿಯೂ, ಕೆತ್ತಿದ ವಿಗ್ರಹವನ್ನಾಗಿಯೂ ಮಾಡಿ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಡ್ಡಬಿದ್ದು ನಮಸ್ಕರಿಸಿ, “ನೀನೇ ನನ್ನ ದೇವರು, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸು” ಎಂದು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸುವನು.
18 They have not known, nor do they understand, For He hath daubed their eyes from seeing, Their heart from acting wisely.
೧೮ಇಂಥವರು ಏನೂ ತಿಳಿಯದವರು, ಏನೂ ಗ್ರಹಿಸಲಾರದವರು ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವರ ಕಣ್ಣು ಕಾಣದಂತೆಯೂ, ಹೃದಯ ಗ್ರಹಿಸದಂತೆಯೂ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಮುಚ್ಚಿಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
19 And none doth turn [it] back unto his heart, Nor hath knowledge nor understanding to say, 'Half of it I have burned in the fire, Yea, also, I have baked bread over its coals, I roast flesh and I eat, And its remnant for an abomination I make, To the stock of a tree I fall down.'
೧೯“ನಾನು ಒಂದು ಭಾಗವನ್ನು ಬೆಂಕಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಉರಿಸಿದೆನು. ಹೌದು, ಅದರ ಕೆಂಡದಲ್ಲಿ ರೊಟ್ಟಿ ಮಾಡಿ ಮಾಂಸವನ್ನು ಸುಟ್ಟು ತಿಂದೆನಲ್ಲಾ, ಉಳಿದ ಭಾಗದಿಂದ ಅಸಹ್ಯವಾದ ವಿಗ್ರಹವನ್ನು ನಾನು ಮಾಡಲೋ? ಮರದ ತುಂಡಿಗೆ ಅಡ್ಡಬೀಳಬಹುದೋ?” ಎಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಷ್ಟು ಜ್ಞಾನ ವಿವೇಕಗಳು ಯಾರಿಗೂ ಇಲ್ಲ, ಯಾರೂ ಇದನ್ನು ಮನಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ತಾರರು.
20 Feeding on ashes, the heart is deceived, It hath turned him aside, And he delivereth not his soul, nor saith: 'Is there not a lie in my right hand?'
೨೦ಅವನು ತಿನ್ನುವುದು ಬೂದಿಯೇ; ಮೋಸಕ್ಕೊಳಗಾದ ಹೃದಯವು ಅವನಿಗೆ ದಾರಿತಪ್ಪಿಸಿದ ಕಾರಣ, “ನನ್ನ ಕೈ ಸುಳ್ಳನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದಿದೆಯಲ್ಲಾ” ಎಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲೂ ಆಗದು. ತನ್ನನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲೂ ಆಗದು.
21 Remember these, O Jacob, and Israel, For My servant thou [art], I formed thee, a servant to Me thou [art], O Israel, thou dost not forget Me.
೨೧ಯಾಕೋಬೇ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲೇ, ಈ ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನು ಜ್ಞಾಪಕದಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟುಕೋ, ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಾಗಿದ್ದೀಯಲ್ಲವೇ. ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲೇ, ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿದೆನು, ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನು, ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಮರೆತುಬಿಡೆನು.
22 I have blotted out, as [by] a thick cloud, Thy transgressions, And as [by] a cloud thy sins, Return unto Me, for I have redeemed thee.
೨೨ನಿನ್ನ ದ್ರೋಹಗಳನ್ನು ಮೋಡದಂತೆ ನಿವಾರಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ನಿನ್ನ ಪಾಪಗಳನ್ನು ಮಂಜಿನಂತೆ ಕರಗಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ವಿಮೋಚಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ನನ್ನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೋ.
23 Sing, O heavens, for Jehovah hath wrought, Shout, O lower parts of earth, Break forth, O mountains, with singing, Forest, and every tree in it, For Jehovah hath redeemed Jacob, And in Israel He doth beautify Himself.
೨೩ಆಕಾಶವೇ, ಹರ್ಷಧ್ವನಿಗೈ, ಯೆಹೋವನು ತನ್ನ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಭೂಮಿಯ ಅಧೋಭಾಗವೇ, ಆರ್ಭಟಿಸು. ಪರ್ವತಗಳೇ, ವನವೇ, ಸಕಲವನವೃಕ್ಷಗಳೇ, ಉತ್ಸಾಹಧ್ವನಿಮಾಡಿರಿ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಯಾಕೋಬನ್ನು ವಿಮೋಚಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯಿಂದ ತನ್ನ ಮಹಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರಚುರಗೊಳಿಸುವನು.
24 Thus said Jehovah, thy redeemer, And thy framer from the womb: 'I [am] Jehovah, doing all things, Stretching out the heavens by Myself, Spreading out the earth — who [is] with Me?
೨೪ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಗರ್ಭದಿಂದಲೂ ರೂಪಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದಿರುವ ನಿನ್ನ ವಿಮೋಚಕನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಹೀಗೆನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ, “ಸರ್ವವನ್ನು ಉಂಟುಮಾಡಿದ ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ನಾನೇ, ನಾನೊಬ್ಬನೇ ಗಗನಮಂಡಲವನ್ನು ಹರಡಿ, ಭೂಮಂಡಲವನ್ನು ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
25 Making void the tokens of devisers, And diviners it maketh mad, Turning the wise backward, And their knowledge it maketh foolish.
೨೫ನಾನು ಕೊಚ್ಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವವರ ಶಕುನಗಳನ್ನು ನಿರರ್ಥಕಪಡಿಸಿ, ಕಣಿಹೇಳುವವರನ್ನು ಮರುಳುಗೊಳಿಸಿ, ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಕ್ಕೆ ತಳ್ಳಿ ಅವರ ತಿಳಿವಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಹುಚ್ಚುತನವಾಗ ಮಾಡುವೆನು.
26 Confirming the word of His servant, The counsel of His messengers it perfecteth, Who is saying of Jerusalem, She is inhabited, And of cities of Judah, They shall be built, and her wastes I raise up,
೨೬ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿ ನನ್ನ ದೂತರ ಮಂತ್ರಾಲೋಚನೆಯನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸುವವನಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ, ‘ನೀನು ಜನ ನಿವಾಸವಾಗುವಿ’ ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೂದದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಿಗೆ, ‘ಅವು ತಿರುಗಿ ಕಟ್ಟಲ್ಪಡುವವು, ಅಲ್ಲಿನ ಹಾಳು ಸ್ಥಳಗಳನ್ನು ನೆಟ್ಟಗೆ ಮಾಡುವೆನು’ ಎಂದು ಮುಂತಿಳಿಸಿ
27 Who is saying to the deep, Be dry, and thy rivers I cause to dry up,
೨೭ಜಲರಾಶಿಗೆ, ‘ಬತ್ತಿಹೋಗು, ನಿನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರುವ ನದಿಗಳನ್ನು ಒಣಗಿಸುವೆನು’ ಎಂದು ನಾನು ಅಪ್ಪಣೆ ಕೊಡುವವನಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
28 Who is saying of Cyrus, My shepherd, And all my delight He doth perfect, So as to say of Jerusalem, Thou art built, And of the temple, Thou art founded.
೨೮ಕೋರೆಷನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ, ‘ಅವನು ನನ್ನ ಮಂದೆಯನ್ನು ಕಾಯುವವನು, ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮು ಕಟ್ಟಲ್ಪಡಲಿ, ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನದ ಅಸ್ತಿವಾರವು ಹಾಕಲ್ಪಡಲಿ’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ, ‘ನನ್ನ ಇಷ್ಟಾರ್ಥವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನೆರವೇರಿಸತಕ್ಕವನು’” ಎಂಬುದಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡುವವನು ನಾನೇ.
