Ezra 7
1 And after these things, in the reign of Artaxerxes king of Persia, Ezra son of Seraiah, son of Azariah, son of Hilkiah,
এই সমস্ত ঘটনার পর, পারস্য-সম্রাট অর্তক্ষস্তের রাজত্বের সময় সরায়ের পুত্র ইষ্রা, সরায় ছিলেন অসরিয়ের পুত্র, অসরিয় হিল্কিয়ের পুত্র,
2 son of Shallum, son of Zadok, son of Ahitub,
হিল্কিয় শল্লুমের পুত্র, শল্লুম সাদোকের পুত্র, সাদোক অহীটূবের পুত্র,
3 son of Amariah, son of Azariah, son of Meraioth,
অহীটূব অমরিয়ের পুত্র, অমরিয় অসরিয়ের পুত্র, অসরিয় মরায়োতের পুত্র
4 son of Zerahiah, son of Uzzi, son of Bukki,
মরায়োত সরহিয়ের পুত্র, সরহিয় উষির পুত্র, উষি বুক্কির পুত্র
5 son of Abishua, son of Phinehas, son of Eleazar, son of Aaron the head priest;
বুক্কি অবিশূয়ের পুত্র, অবীশূয় পীনহসের পুত্র, পীনহস ইলিয়াসরের পুত্র, ইলীয়াসর প্রধান যাজক হারোণের পুত্র।
6 Ezra himself hath come up from Babylon, and he [is] a scribe ready in the law of Moses, that Jehovah God of Israel gave, and the king giveth to him — according to the hand of Jehovah his God upon him — all his request.
এই ইষ্রা ব্যাবিলন থেকে সেখানে এলেন। তিনি ছিলেন ইস্রায়েলের আরাধ্য ঈশ্বর, প্রভু সদাপ্রভুর প্রদত্ত মোশির ব্যবস্থাপুস্তকের একজন জ্ঞানসম্পন্ন শিক্ষক। তাঁর আরাধ্য ঈশ্বর প্রভু সদাপ্রভুর কৃপা তাঁর উপরে ছিল, সেইজন্য তিনি যা কিছু রাজার কাছে চেয়েছিলেন, রাজা তাঁকে সবকিছুই দিয়েছিলেন।
7 And there go up of the sons of Israel, and of the priests, and the Levites, and the singers, and the gatekeepers, and the Nethinim, unto Jerusalem, in the seventh year of Artaxerxes the king.
সম্রাট অর্তক্ষস্তের রাজত্বের সপ্তম বছরে কিছু ইস্রায়েলী সন্তান, তাদের মধ্যে যাজক ও লেবীয়দের, গায়ক, দারোয়ান, মন্দিরের পরিচারকবৃন্দ জেরুশালেমে এসে উপস্থিত হল।
8 And he cometh in to Jerusalem in the fifth month, that [is in] the seventh year of the king,
সম্রাটের সপ্তম বছরের পঞ্চম মাসে ইষ্রা জেরুশালেমে এসে উপস্থিত হলেন।
9 for on the first of the month he hath founded the ascent from Babylon, and on the first of the fifth month he hath come in unto Jerusalem, according to the good hand of his God upon him,
তিনি প্রথম মাসের প্রথম দিনে ব্যাবিলন থেকে জেরুশালেমের উদ্দেশে যাত্রা শুরু করেছিলেন। ঈশ্বরের মঙ্গলময় হস্ত তাঁর উপর ছিল বলে তিনি পঞ্চম মাসের প্রথম দিনে জেরুশালেমে এসে উপস্থিত হয়েছিলেন।
10 for Ezra hath prepared his heart to seek the law of Jehovah, and to do, and to teach in Israel statute and judgment.
যেহেতু ইষ্রা প্রভু সদাপ্রভুর পবিত্র শাস্ত্র অধ্যয়ন এবং তাঁর বিধিকলাপ পালন করতেন, তিনি ইস্রায়েলের লোকেদের কাছে সেই বিধিনির্দেশ ও অনুশাসন সম্পর্কে শিক্ষা দিতেন।
11 And this [is] a copy of the letter that the king Artaxerxes gave to Ezra the priest, the scribe, a scribe of the words of the commands of Jehovah, and of His statutes on Israel:
সম্রাট অর্তক্ষস্ত এই পত্রটি ইষ্রাকে পাঠিয়েছিলেন, যিনি ছিলেন একজন যাজক ও শিক্ষক এবং ইস্রায়েলের প্রভু সদাপ্রভু প্রদত্ত অনুশাসন ও বিধিব্যাবস্থা সংক্রান্ত বিষয়ে একজন জ্ঞানসম্পন্ন ব্যক্তি।
12 'Artaxerxes, king of kings, to Ezra the priest, a perfect scribe of the law of the God of heaven, and at such a time:
রাজাধিরাজ অর্তক্ষস্তের তরফে, স্বর্গের ঈশ্বরের একজন যাজক ও শিক্ষক ইষ্রা সমীপে: শুভেচ্ছা।
13 By me hath been made a decree that every one who is willing, in my kingdom, of the people of Israel and of its priests and Levites, to go to Jerusalem with thee, doth go;
আমি এতদ্বারা এই ঘোষণা করছি যে আমার রাজ্যের ইস্রায়েলীদের মধ্যে কোনও যাজক, লেবীয় বা অন্য কেউ যদি আপনার সঙ্গে জেরুশালেমে যেতে বাসনা করেন তবে তারা অবশ্যই যেতে পারেন।
14 because that from the king and his seven counsellors thou art sent, to inquire concerning Judah and concerning Jerusalem, with the law of God that [is] in thy hand,
সম্রাট ও তাঁর সপ্ত মন্ত্রণাদাতা দ্বারা, যিহূদা ও জেরুশালেমে ঈশ্বরের যে বিধিবিধান আপনার অধিকারে আছে, আপনি সে সকল অনুসন্ধানের জন্য সেখানে প্রেরিত হচ্ছেন।
15 and to carry silver and gold that the king and his counsellors willingly offered to the God of Israel, whose tabernacle [is] in Jerusalem,
সেই সঙ্গে ইস্রায়েলের আরাধ্য ঈশ্বরের, জেরুশালেমে যার আবাসগৃহ আছে, তাঁর উদ্দেশে ও তাঁর মন্ত্রণাদাতারা স্বেচ্ছায় যে সমস্ত সোনা ও রুপা দান করছেন সেগুলি আপনার সঙ্গে সেখানে নিয়ে যান,
16 and all the silver and gold that thou findest in all the province of Babylon, with the free-will offerings of the people, and of the priests, offering willingly, for the house of their God that [is] in Jerusalem,
এছাড়া ব্যাবিলনের সমস্ত প্রদেশ থেকে যত সোনা ও রুপা সংগ্রহ করতে পারেন ও সমস্ত যাজক ও লোকেরা জেরুশালেমে তাদের আরাধ্য ঈশ্বরের উদ্দেশে যা কিছু স্বেচ্ছাদান তারা দেবে সেগুলিও সঙ্গে নিয়ে যান।
17 therefore thou dost speedily buy with this money, bullocks, rams, lambs, and their presents, and their libations, and dost bring them near to the altar of the house of your God that [is] in Jerusalem,
এই সমস্ত অর্থ দিয়ে অবশ্যই বলদ, পুংমেষ, মদ্দা মেষশাবক এবং শস্য ও পেয়-নৈবেদ্য কিনবেন, ও সেগুলি জেরুশালেমে আপনাদের ঈশ্বরের মন্দিরের বেদিতে উৎসর্গ করবেন।
18 and that which to thee and to thy brethren is good to do with the rest of the silver and gold, according to the will of your God ye do.'
অবশিষ্ট সোনা রুপা দিয়ে আপনার ঈশ্বরের মনোমতো আপনার ও আপনার স্বজাতি ইহুদিদের যা ভালো মনে হয় তাই করবেন।
19 'And the vessels that are given to thee, for the service of the house of thy God, make perfect before the God of Jerusalem;
আপনার ঈশ্বরের গৃহে আরাধনার জন্য যে সমস্ত দ্রব্যাদি আপনার কাছে গচ্ছিত রাখা আছে সেগুলি আপনি জেরুশালেমের ঈশ্বরের কাছে নিবেদন করবেন।
20 and the rest of the needful things of the house of thy God, that it falleth to thee to give, thou dost give from the treasure-house of the king.
আপনার ঈশ্বরের গৃহের জন্য যা কিছু প্রয়োজন হবে তার জন্য রাজকোষ থেকে অর্থ সরবরাহ করা হবে।
21 'And by me — I Artaxerxes the king — is made a decree to all treasurers who [are] beyond the river, that all that Ezra the priest, scribe of the law of the God of heaven, doth ask of you, be done speedily:
আমি, সম্রাট অর্তক্ষস্ত, ইউফ্রেটিস নদীর অববাহিকাকে সমগ্র অঞ্চলের কোষাধ্যক্ষদের নির্দেশ দিচ্ছি, স্বর্গের ঈশ্বরের বিধিবিধানের শিক্ষক ও যাজক ইষ্রা আপনাদের কাছে যা কিছু চাইবেন সব যেন যত্নসহকারে তাঁকে দেওয়া হয়।
22 Unto silver a hundred talents, and unto wheat a hundred cors, and unto wine a hundred baths, and unto oil a hundred baths, and salt without reckoning;
আপনারা তাঁকে একশো তালন্ত রুপা, একশো কোর গম, একশো বাৎ দ্রাক্ষারস, একশো বাৎ জলপাই-এর তৈল এবং অপরিমিত লবণ দান করবেন।
23 all that [is] by the decree of the God of heaven, let be done diligently for the house of the God of heaven; for why is there wrath against the kingdom of the king and his sons?
স্বর্গের ঈশ্বর যা আদেশ করেছেন তা স্বর্গের ঈশ্বরের মন্দিরের জন্য যথাযথভাবে করা হোক। সম্রাট ও তাঁর ছেলেদের উপরে কেন ক্রোধ বর্ষিত হবে?
24 'And to you we are making known, that upon any of the priests and Levites, singers, gatekeepers, Nethinim, and servants of the house of God, tribute and custom there is no authority to lift up.
সেই সঙ্গে এই কথাও আপনাদের জানাচ্ছি যে যাজক, গায়ক, লেবীয়, দ্বাররক্ষী, মন্দিরের পরিচারক অথবা ঈশ্বরের গৃহের জন্য কাজ করছে এমন কারোর উপর কোনো কর, প্রণামী এবং শুল্ক ধার্য করবেন না।
25 'And thou, Ezra, according to the wisdom of thy God, that [is] in thy hand, appoint magistrates and judges who may be judges to all the people who are beyond the river, to all knowing the law of thy God, and he who hath not known ye cause to know;
মহাশয় ইষ্রা, আপনি আপনার আরাধ্য ঈশ্বরের যে প্রজ্ঞা লাভ করেছেন সেইমতো ইউফ্রেটিস নদীর অববাহিকা অঞ্চলে যারা আপনার আরাধ্য ঈশ্বরের বিধিবিধান জানে তাদের পরিচর্যার জন্য প্রশাসক ও বিচারক নিয়োগ করুন। যারা সেই বিধিবিধান জানে না তাদেরও আপনি শিক্ষাদান করুন।
26 and any who doth not do the law of thy God, and the law of the king, speedily is judgment done upon him, whether to death, or to banishment, or to confiscation of riches, and to bonds.'
যারা আপনার আরাধ্য ঈশ্বরের বিধিবিধান ও সম্রাটের আইন বিধান মান্য করবে না তাদের মৃত্যুদণ্ড, নির্বাসন, সম্পত্তি বাজেয়াপ্ত অথবা কারাদণ্ড দেওয়া হোক।
27 Blessed [is] Jehovah, God of our fathers, who hath given such a thing as this in the heart of the king, to beautify the house of Jehovah that [is] in Jerusalem,
ধন্য আমাদের পিতৃপুরুষদের আরাধ্য ঈশ্বর, প্রভু সদাপ্রভু যিনি সম্রাটের অন্তঃকরণে জেরুশালেমে প্রভু সদাপ্রভুর মন্দিরের মর্যাদা এইভাবে পুনরুদ্ধার করার বাসনা দান করেছেন
28 and unto me hath stretched out kindness before the king and his counsellors, and before all the mighty heads of the king: and I have strengthened myself as the hand of Jehovah my God [is] upon me, and I gather out of Israel heads to go up with me.
এবং সেই সঙ্গে যিনি সম্রাট ও তাঁর মন্ত্রণাদাতা ও সম্রাটের ক্ষমতাশালী কর্মকর্তাদের সামনে আমাকে এই মহা-অনুগ্রহ দান করেছেন। আমার আরাধ্য ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর হাত আমার উপরে ছিল, তাই আমি সাহস করে আমার সঙ্গে যাওয়ার জন্য ইস্রায়েলীদের মধ্যে থেকে নেতাদের সংগ্রহ করেছিলাম।
