Ezekiel 34

1 And there is a word of Jehovah unto me, saying,

Me fue dirigida la palabra de Yahvé, que dijo:

2 'Son of man, prophesy concerning shepherds of Israel, prophesy, and thou hast said unto them: To the shepherds, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Woe [to] the shepherds of Israel, Who have been feeding themselves! The flock do not the shepherds feed?

“Hijo de hombre, profetiza contra los pastores de Israel; profetiza, y di a estos pastores: Así habla Yahvé, el Señor: ¡Ay de los pastores de Israel que se apacientan a sí mismos! ¿No es más bien el deber de los pastores apacentar el rebaño?

3 The fat ye do eat, and the wool ye put on, The fed one ye slaughter, the flock ye feed not.

Vosotros coméis su leche y os vestís de su lana; matáis lo gordo, pero no apacentáis el rebaño.

4 The weak ye have not strengthened, And the sick one ye have not healed, And the broken ye have not bound up, And the driven away have not brought back, And the lost ye have not sought, And with might ye have ruled them and with rigour.

No fortalecisteis a las ovejas débiles, no curasteis a las enfermas, no vendasteis a las perniquebradas, no condujisteis al redil a las descarriadas, no fuisteis en busca de las perdidas, sino que las dominabais con violencia y crueldad;

5 And they are scattered from want of a shepherd, And are for food to every beast of the field, Yea, they are scattered.

de modo que se dispersaron por falta de pastor; vinieron a ser presa de todas las fieras del campo y se perdieron.

6 Go astray do My flock on all the mountains, And on every high hill, And on all the face of the land have My flock been scattered, And there is none inquiring, and none seeking.

Mis ovejas andan errantes por todas las montañas y por todas las altas colinas. Por toda la faz de la tierra se dispersaron mis ovejas, y no hay quien las busque ni quien se preocupe de ellas.

7 Therefore, shepherds, hear a word of Jehovah:

Por eso, oíd, oh pastores, la palabra de Yahvé:

8 I live — an affirmation of the Lord Jehovah, If not, because of My flock being for a prey, Yea, My flock is for food to every beast of the field, Because there is no shepherd, And My shepherds have not sought My flock, And the shepherds do feed themselves, And My flock they have not fed.

Por mi vida, dice Yahvé, el Señor, que por cuanto mi grey ha sido depredada, y mis ovejas han sido presa de todas las fieras del campo, por falta de pastor; pues mis pastores no cuidaban de mis ovejas, sino que los pastores se apacentaban a sí mismos y no apacentaban a mi grey,

9 Therefore, O shepherds, hear a word of Jehovah:

por lo tanto, oíd, oh pastores, la palabra de Yahvé.

10 Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Lo, I [am] against the shepherds, And have required My flock from their hand, And caused them to cease from feeding the flock, And no more do the shepherds feed themselves, And I have delivered My flock from their mouth, And they are not to them for food.

Así dice Yahvé, el Señor: Heme aquí contra los pastores; demandaré mis ovejas de su mano y no permitiré que apacienten mi grey; ni tampoco se apacentarán en adelante los pastores a sí mismos; puesto que Yo libraré mis ovejas de su boca, y no les servirán ya de pasto.

11 For thus said the Lord Jehovah: Lo, I — even I, have required My flock, And I have sought it out.

Porque así dice Yahvé, el Señor: He aquí que Yo mismo iré en pos de mis ovejas, y las revistaré.

12 As a shepherd's searching of his drove, In the day of his being in the midst of his scattered flock, so I do seek My flock, And have delivered them out of all places, Whither they have been scattered, In a day of cloud and thick darkness.

Como el pastor revista a su grey al encontrarse con sus ovejas descarriadas, así revistaré Yo mis ovejas y las recogeré de todos los lugares por donde se dispersaron en día de nublado y tinieblas.

13 And brought them out from the peoples, And have gathered them from the lands, And brought them unto their own ground, And have fed them on mountains of Israel, By streams, and by all dwellings of the land.

Las sacaré de entre los pueblos, las recogeré de los países, las llevaré a su tierra y las apacentaré sobre los montes de Israel, junto a los arroyos, y en todas las regiones habitadas del país.

14 With good pasture I do feed them, And on mountains of the high place of Israel is their habitation, There do they lie down in a good habitation, And fat pastures they enjoy on mountains of Israel.

En pastos buenos las apacentaré, y sobre las elevadas montañas de Israel estará su redil; allí tendrán cómoda majada, y en medio de pingües pastos pacerán sobre los montes de Israel.

15 I feed My flock, and cause them to lie down, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.

Yo mismo pastorearé mis ovejas, y Yo mismo las llevaré a la majada —oráculo de Yahvé, el Señor.

16 The lost I seek, and the driven away bring back, And the broken I bind up, and the sick I strengthen, And the fat and the strong I destroy, I feed it with judgment.

Buscaré las perdidas, traeré las descarriadas, vendaré las perniquebradas y fortaleceré las enfermas; mas a las gordas y fuertes las destruiré. Las apacentaré con justicia.

17 And you, My flock, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Lo, I am judging between sheep and sheep, Between rams and he-goats.

A vosotras, ovejas mías, así dice Yahvé, el Señor: He aquí que Yo juzgaré entre ovejas y ovejas, entre carneros y machos cabríos.

18 Is it a little thing for you — the good pasture ye enjoy, And the remnant of your pasture ye tread down with your feet, And a depth of waters ye do drink, And the remainder with your feet ye trample,

¿Por ventura no os bastaba comer los pastos buenos, ya que pisoteabais con vuestros pies lo que sobraba de vuestro pasto? ¿Ni os bastaba beber el agua limpia, ya que enturbiabais con vuestros pies la que quedaba?

19 And My flock the trodden thing of your feet consumeth, And the trampled thing of your feet drinketh?

De modo que mis ovejas tenían que comer lo que vosotros habíais hollado con vuestros pies, y beber lo que con vuestros pies habíais enturbiado.

20 Therefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah to them: Lo, I — even I, have judged between fat sheep and lean sheep.

Por tanto, así les dice Yahvé, el Señor: He aquí que Yo mismo juzgaré entre las ovejas gordas y las ovejas flacas.

21 Because with side and with shoulder ye thrust away, And with your horns push all the diseased, Till ye have scattered them to the out-place,

Porque atropellabais con el flanco a todas las débiles y las acorneabais con vuestros cuernos hasta echarlas a otros lugares.

22 And I have given safety to My flock, And they are not any more for prey, And I have judged between sheep and sheep.

Por eso Yo salvaré mi grey, para que no sirva más de presa; así juzgaré entre oveja y oveja.

23 And have raised up over them one shepherd, And he hath fed them — my servant David, He doth feed them, and he is their shepherd,

Y suscitaré sobre ellas un solo pastor que las pastoree, mi siervo David; él las apacentará y él será su pastor.

24 And I, Jehovah, I am their God, And My servant David prince in their midst, I, Jehovah, have spoken.

Yo, Yahvé, seré su Dios, y mi siervo David será príncipe en medio de ellas. Yo, Yahvé, he hablado.

25 And I have made for them a covenant of peace, And caused evil beasts to cease out of the land, And they have dwelt in a wilderness confidently, And they have slept in forests.

Haré con ellas una alianza de paz, y exterminaré de la tierra las bestias feroces, y habitarán con seguridad en regiones desiertas y dormirán en los bosques.

26 And I have given them, and the suburbs of my hill, a blessing, And caused the shower to come down in its season, Showers of blessing they are.

Y haré de ellos y de los alrededores de mi monte una bendición, y enviaré a su tiempo las lluvias, lluvias de bendición.

27 And given hath the tree of the field its fruit, And the land doth give her increase, And they have been on their land confident, And they have known that I [am] Jehovah, In My breaking the bands of their yoke, And I have delivered them from the hand of those laying service on them.

Los árboles del campo darán su fruto y la tierra dará sus productos, y vivirán en paz en su tierra; y conocerán que Yo soy Yahvé, cuando rompa las coyundas de su yugo, y los salve del poder de los que los tratan como esclavos.

28 And they are no more a prey to nations, And the beast of the earth devoureth them not, And they have dwelt confidently, And there is none troubling.

Y no serán más presa de las naciones, ni los devorarán las bestias de la tierra, sino que habitarán con seguridad, y no habrá quien los espante.

29 And I have raised for them a plant for renown, And they are no more consumed by hunger in the land, And they bear no more the shame of the nations.

Y les haré brotar una vegetación magnífica; ya no serán más consumidos por el hambre en el país, ni expuestos al oprobio de las naciones.

30 And they have known that I, Jehovah, their God, [am] with them, And they — the house of Israel — My people, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.

Y conocerán que Yo, Yahvé, su Dios, estoy con ellos, y que ellos, la casa de Israel, son mi pueblo —oráculo de Yahvé, el Señor.

31 And ye, My flock, the flock of My pasture, Men ye [are] — I [am] your God, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah!'

Vosotros, los hombres, sois mis ovejas, las ovejas de mi grey, y Yo soy vuestro Dios, dice Yahvé, el Señor.”
