2 Corinthians 4
1 Because of this, having this ministration, according as we did receive kindness, we do not faint,
Por lo cual teniendo nosotros este ministerio, según hemos alcanzado la misericordia, no desmayamos;
2 but did renounce for ourselves the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness, nor deceitfully using the word of God, but by the manifestation of the truth recommending ourselves unto every conscience of men, before God;
Antes hemos renunciado las cosas encubiertas de vergüenza, no andando con astucia, ni adulterando la palabra de Dios; mas por manifestación de la verdad encomendándonos a nosotros mismos a la conciencia de todo hombre delante de Dios.
3 and if also our good news is vailed, in those perishing it is vailed,
Que si nuestro evangelio es encubierto, para los que se pierden es encubierto:
4 in whom the god of this age did blind the minds of the unbelieving, that there doth not shine forth to them the enlightening of the good news of the glory of the Christ, who is the image of God; (aiōn g165)
En los cuales el dios de este siglo cegó los entendimientos de los incrédulos, para que no les resplandezca la luz del evangelio de la gloria de Cristo, que es la imagen de Dios. (aiōn g165)
5 for not ourselves do we preach, but Christ Jesus — Lord, and ourselves your servants because of Jesus;
Porque no nos predicamos a nosotros mismos, sino a Jesu Cristo, el Señor; y nosotros siervos vuestros por amor de Jesús.
6 because [it is] God who said, Out of darkness light [is] to shine, who did shine in our hearts, for the enlightening of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
Porque Dios, que dijo que de las tinieblas resplandeciese la luz, es el que resplandeció en nuestros corazones, para dar la iluminación de la ciencia de la gloria de Dios en el rostro de Jesu Cristo.
7 And we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us;
Tenemos empero este tesoro en vasijas de barro, a fin que la excelencia del poder sea de Dios, y no de nosotros.
8 on every side being in tribulation, but not straitened; perplexed, but not in despair;
Por todo lado somos atribulados, mas no estrechados: perplejos, mas no desesperados;
9 persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;
Perseguidos, mas no desamparados: abatidos, mas no destruidos:
10 at all times the dying of the Lord Jesus bearing about in the body, that the life also of Jesus in our body may be manifested,
Llevando siempre por todas partes en el cuerpo la muerte del Señor Jesús, para que también la vida de Jesús sea manifestada en nuestro cuerpo.
11 for always are we who are living delivered up to death because of Jesus, that the life also of Jesus may be manifested in our dying flesh,
Porque siempre nosotros que vivimos, somos entregados a la muerte a causa de Jesús, para que también la vida de Jesús sea manifestada en nuestra carne mortal.
12 so that, the death indeed in us doth work, and the life in you.
De manera que la muerte obra en nosotros, mas en vosotros la vida.
13 And having the same spirit of the faith, according to that which hath been written, 'I believed, therefore I did speak;' we also do believe, therefore also do we speak;
Teniendo, pues, el mismo espíritu de fe, conforme a lo que está escrito: Creí, y por lo tanto hablé: nosotros también creemos, y por lo tanto hablamos:
14 knowing that He who did raise up the Lord Jesus, us also through Jesus shall raise up, and shall present with you,
Estando ciertos que el que levantó al Señor Jesús, a nosotros también nos levantará por Jesús; y nos presentará con vosotros.
15 for the all things [are] because of you, that the grace having been multiplied, because of the thanksgiving of the more, may abound to the glory of God;
Porque todas las cosas son por vuestra causa, para que la abundante gracia por la acción de gracias de muchos, redunde a gloria de Dios.
16 wherefore, we faint not, but if also our outward man doth decay, yet the inward is renewed day by day;
Por tanto no desmayamos; antes aunque este nuestro hombre exterior se destruya, el interior empero se renueva de día en día.
17 for the momentary light matter of our tribulation, more and more exceedingly an age-during weight of glory doth work out for us — (aiōnios g166)
Porque nuestra leve tribulación, que no es sino por un momento, obra por nosotros un peso de gloria inconmensurablemente grande y eterno: (aiōnios g166)
18 we not looking to the things seen, but to the things not seen; for the things seen [are] temporary, but the things not seen [are] age-during. (aiōnios g166)
No mirando nosotros a lo que se ve, sino a lo que no se ve; porque lo que se ve, es temporal; mas lo que no se ve, es eterno. (aiōnios g166)
