2 Corinthians 4
1 Because of this, having this ministration, according as we did receive kindness, we do not faint,
Por lo cual, investidos de este ministerio, según la misericordia que se nos ha hecho, no decaemos de ánimo.
2 but did renounce for ourselves the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness, nor deceitfully using the word of God, but by the manifestation of the truth recommending ourselves unto every conscience of men, before God;
Antes bien, hemos desechado los vergonzosos disimulos, no procediendo con astucia, ni adulterando la palabra de Dios, sino recomendándonos por la manifestación de la verdad a la conciencia de todo hombre en presencia de Dios.
3 and if also our good news is vailed, in those perishing it is vailed,
Si todavía nuestro Evangelio aparece cubierto con un velo, ello es para los que se pierden;
4 in whom the god of this age did blind the minds of the unbelieving, that there doth not shine forth to them the enlightening of the good news of the glory of the Christ, who is the image of God; (aiōn g165)
para los incrédulos, en los cuales el dios de este siglo ha cegado los entendimientos a fin de que no resplandezca ( para ellos ) la luz del Evangelio de la gloria de Cristo, el cual es la imagen de Dios; (aiōn g165)
5 for not ourselves do we preach, but Christ Jesus — Lord, and ourselves your servants because of Jesus;
porque no nos predicamos a nosotros mismos, sino a Cristo Jesús como Señor, y a nosotros como siervos vuestros por Jesús,
6 because [it is] God who said, Out of darkness light [is] to shine, who did shine in our hearts, for the enlightening of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
pues Dios que dijo: “Brille la luz desde las tinieblas” es quien resplandeció en nuestros corazones, para iluminación del conocimiento de la gloria de Dios en el rostro de Cristo.
7 And we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us;
Pero este tesoro lo llevamos en vasijas de barro, para que la excelencia del poder sea de Dios, y no de nosotros.
8 on every side being in tribulation, but not straitened; perplexed, but not in despair;
De todas maneras atribulados, mas no abatidos; sumergidos en apuros, mas no desalentados;
9 persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;
perseguidos, mas no abandonados; derribados, mas no destruidos,
10 at all times the dying of the Lord Jesus bearing about in the body, that the life also of Jesus in our body may be manifested,
siempre llevamos por doquiera en el cuerpo la muerte de Jesús, para que también la vida de Jesús se manifieste en nuestro cuerpo.
11 for always are we who are living delivered up to death because of Jesus, that the life also of Jesus may be manifested in our dying flesh,
Porque nosotros, los que ( realmente ) vivimos, somos siempre entregados a la muerte por causa de Jesús, para que de igual modo la vida de Jesús sea manifestada en nuestra carne mortal.
12 so that, the death indeed in us doth work, and the life in you.
De manera que en nosotros obra la muerte, mas en vosotros la vida.
13 And having the same spirit of the faith, according to that which hath been written, 'I believed, therefore I did speak;' we also do believe, therefore also do we speak;
Pero, teniendo el mismo espíritu de fe, según está escrito: “Creí, y por esto hablé”; también nosotros creemos, y por esto hablamos;
14 knowing that He who did raise up the Lord Jesus, us also through Jesus shall raise up, and shall present with you,
sabiendo que el que resucitó al Señor Jesús nos resucitará también a nosotros con Jesús y nos pondrá en su presencia con vosotros.
15 for the all things [are] because of you, that the grace having been multiplied, because of the thanksgiving of the more, may abound to the glory of God;
Porque todo es por vosotros, para que abundando más y más la gracia, haga desbordar por un mayor número ( de vosotros ) el agradecimiento para gloria de Dios.
16 wherefore, we faint not, but if also our outward man doth decay, yet the inward is renewed day by day;
Por lo cual no desfallecemos; antes bien, aunque nuestro hombre exterior vaya decayendo, el hombre interior se renueva de día en día.
17 for the momentary light matter of our tribulation, more and more exceedingly an age-during weight of glory doth work out for us — (aiōnios g166)
Porque nuestra tribulación momentánea y ligera va labrándonos un eterno peso de gloria cada vez más inmensamente; (aiōnios g166)
18 we not looking to the things seen, but to the things not seen; for the things seen [are] temporary, but the things not seen [are] age-during. (aiōnios g166)
por donde no ponemos nosotros la mirada en las cosas que se ven, sino en las que no se ven; porque las que se ven son temporales, mas las que no se ven, eternas. (aiōnios g166)
