2 Corinthians 4
1 Because of this, having this ministration, according as we did receive kindness, we do not faint,
是故に我等は、御慈悲を蒙りたるによりて聖役を有する者なれば、弱る事なく、
2 but did renounce for ourselves the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness, nor deceitfully using the word of God, but by the manifestation of the truth recommending ourselves unto every conscience of men, before God;
耻隠す所を棄て、狡猾に挙動ふ事を為ず、又神の御言を僞造せずして眞理を顕し、神の御前に凡ての人の良心に訴へて己を立つるなり。
3 and if also our good news is vailed, in those perishing it is vailed,
若我等の福音にして尚覆を以て包まれたりとせば、其は亡ぶる人々に對して包まれたるなり。
4 in whom the god of this age did blind the minds of the unbelieving, that there doth not shine forth to them the enlightening of the good news of the glory of the Christ, who is the image of God; (aiōn g165)
即ち彼等に於て、世間の神不信者の心を暗まし、神の像に在せるキリストの光榮の福音の光を、彼等の上に輝かしめじとせるなり。 (aiōn g165)
5 for not ourselves do we preach, but Christ Jesus — Lord, and ourselves your servants because of Jesus;
蓋我等は己が事を宣べず、我主イエズス、キリストの事を宣べて、イエズス、キリストの為に己を汝等の僕となす。
6 because [it is] God who said, Out of darkness light [is] to shine, who did shine in our hearts, for the enlightening of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
蓋命じて光を闇より輝かしめ給ひし神は、キリスト、イエズスの御顔に在る神の光榮の知識を輝かしめん為に、自ら我等の心を照らし給へり。
7 And we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us;
第三項 使徒たる者の苦痛 然れども我等は此寳を土器の中に有てるなり、是力の偉大なる所は、我等に由らずして神に由るべき故なり。
8 on every side being in tribulation, but not straitened; perplexed, but not in despair;
我等萬事に患難を受くれども苦悩せず、窮迫極れども失望せず、
9 persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;
迫害を受くれども棄てられず、倒さるれども亡びず、
10 at all times the dying of the Lord Jesus bearing about in the body, that the life also of Jesus in our body may be manifested,
何時もイエズスの死を我身に帯ぶ、是イエズスの生命が亦我等の身に於て顕れん為なり。
11 for always are we who are living delivered up to death because of Jesus, that the life also of Jesus may be manifested in our dying flesh,
即ち我等は活ける者なれども、常にイエズスの為死に付さる、是イエズスの生命が、亦死すべき我肉身に於て顕れん為なり。
12 so that, the death indeed in us doth work, and the life in you.
然れば死は我等の中に働き、生命は汝等の中に働くなり。
13 And having the same spirit of the faith, according to that which hath been written, 'I believed, therefore I did speak;' we also do believe, therefore also do we speak;
然るに信仰の同じ霊を有すれば、録して、「我信じたるが故に語りしなり」とあるが如く、我等も亦信ずるが故に語る、
14 knowing that He who did raise up the Lord Jesus, us also through Jesus shall raise up, and shall present with you,
イエズスを復活せしめ給ひしものが、我等をもイエズスと共に復活せしめ、汝等と共に立たしめ給ふべしと知ればなり。
15 for the all things [are] because of you, that the grace having been multiplied, because of the thanksgiving of the more, may abound to the glory of God;
蓋萬事は汝等の為にして、是恩寵豊に、神の光榮として愈多くの人の感謝を豊ならしめん為なり。
16 wherefore, we faint not, but if also our outward man doth decay, yet the inward is renewed day by day;
故に我等は沮喪せず、我等の外面の人は腐敗すれども、内面の人は却て日々に新なり。
