2 Chronicles 4

1 And he maketh an altar of brass, twenty cubits its length, and twenty cubits its breadth, and ten cubits its height.

তিনি প্রায় 9 মিটার করে লম্বা ও চওড়া ও প্রায় 4.6 মিটার উঁচু ব্রোঞ্জের একটি বেদি তৈরি করলেন।

2 And he maketh the molten sea; ten by the cubit, from its edge unto its edge, round in compass, and five by the cubit its height, and a line of thirty by the cubit doth compass it, round about.

ধাতু ছাঁচে ঢেলে তিনি গোলাকার এমন এক সমুদ্রপাত্র তৈরি করলেন, যা মাপে এক কিনারা থেকে অন্য কিনারা পর্যন্ত দৈর্ঘ্যে হল প্রায় 4.6 মিটার ও উচ্চতায় হল প্রায় 2.3 মিটার। সেটি ঘিরে মাপা হলে, তা প্রায় 13.8 মিটার হল।

3 And the likeness of oxen [is] under it, all round about encompassing it, ten in the cubit, compassing the sea round about; two rows of oxen are cast in its being cast.

ঘেরের নিচের দিক ঘিরে প্রায় 45 সেন্টিমিটার এক হাতের দশ ভাগের এক ভাগ মাপের কয়েকটি বলদের আকৃতি ঢালাই করে দেওয়া হল। সমুদ্রপাত্রের সাথেই বলদগুলি একটি করে দুই দুই সারিতে ঢালাই করে দেওয়া হল।

4 It is standing on twelve oxen, three facing the north, and three facing the west, and three facing the south, and three facing the east, and the sea [is] upon them above, and all their hinder parts [are] within.

সমুদ্রপাত্রটি বারোটি বলদের উপর দাঁড় করানো ছিল। সেগুলির মধ্যে তিনটি উত্তর দিকে, তিনটি পশ্চিমদিকে, তিনটি দক্ষিণ দিকে ও তিনটি পূর্বদিকে মুখ করে ছিল। সমুদ্রপাত্রটি সেগুলির উপরেই ভর দিয়েছিল, এবং সেগুলির শরীরের পিছনের অংশগুলি কেন্দ্রস্থলের দিকে রাখা ছিল।

5 And its thickness [is] a handbreadth, and its lip as the work of the lip of a cup flowered with lilies; taking hold — baths three thousand it containeth.

সমুদ্রপাত্রটি প্রায় 75 সেন্টিমিটার পুরু ছিল, ও সেটির পরিধি ছিল একটি পেয়ালার পরিধির মতো, বা একটি লিলিফুলের মতো। সেটিতে 3,000 বাত জল রাখা যেত।

6 And he maketh ten lavers, and putteth five on the right, and five on the left, to wash with them; the work of the burnt-offering they purge with them; and the sea [is] for priests to wash with.

পরে তিনি ধোয়াধুয়ি করার জন্য দশটি গামলা তৈরি করলেন এবং পাঁচটি দক্ষিণ দিকে ও পাঁচটি উত্তর দিকে রেখে দিলেন। হোমবলির জন্য ব্যবহারযোগ্য জিনিসপত্র সেগুলির মধ্যে রেখে ধোয়া হত, কিন্তু সমুদ্রপাত্রটি যাজকই ধোয়াধুয়ি করার জন্য ব্যবহার করতেন।

7 And he maketh the ten candlesticks of gold, according to their ordinance, and placeth in the temple, five on the right, and five on the left.

যেমনভাবে তৈরি করতে বলা হল, ঠিক সেভাবেই তিনি সোনার দশটি বাতিদান তৈরি করলেন এবং সেগুলি মন্দিরে রেখে দিলেন—পাঁচটি দক্ষিণ দিকে ও পাঁচটি উত্তর দিকে।

8 And he maketh ten tables, and placeth in the temple, five on the right, and five on the left; and he maketh bowls of gold a hundred.

তিনি দশটি টেবিল তৈরি করলেন এবং সেগুলি মন্দিরে রেখে দিলেন—পাঁচটি দক্ষিণ দিকে ও পাঁচটি উত্তর দিকে। এছাড়াও তিনি জল ছিটানোর কাজে ব্যবহারযোগ্য একশোটি সোনার বাটিও তৈরি করলেন।

9 And he maketh the court of the priests, and the great court, and doors for the court, and their doors he hath overlaid with brass.

তিনি যাজকদের জন্য একটি উঠোন, এবং বিশাল আর একটি উঠোন ও সেখানকার কয়েকটি দরজা তৈরি করলেন, ও দরজাগুলি ব্রোঞ্জ দিয়ে মুড়ে দিলেন।

10 And the sea he hath placed on the right shoulder eastward, over-against the south.

সমুদ্রপাত্রটিকে তিনি দক্ষিণ দিকে, একেবারে দক্ষিণ-পূর্ব কোনায় নিয়ে গিয়ে রেখেছিলেন।

11 And Huram maketh the pots, and the shovels, and the bowls, and Huram finisheth to make the work that he made for king Solomon in the house of God;

এছাড়া হূরমও আরও কয়েকটি পাত্র, বেলচা ও জল ছিটানোর বাটিও তৈরি করল। অতএব ঈশ্বরের মন্দিরে রাজা শলোমনের জন্য হূরম যা যা করার দায়িত্ব নিয়েছিল, সেগুলি সে সম্পূর্ণ করল:

12 two pillars, and the bowls, and the crowns on the heads of the two pillars, and the two wreaths to cover the two bowls of the crowns that [are] on the heads of the pillars;

দুটি স্তম্ভ; স্তম্ভের উপরে বসানোর জন্য গামলার আকারবিশিষ্ট দুটি স্তম্ভশীর্ষ; স্তম্ভের উপরে বসানো গামলার আকারবিশিষ্ট দুটি স্তম্ভশীর্ষ সাজিয়ে তোলার জন্য দুই সারি পরস্পরছেদী জাল;

13 and the pomegranates four hundred to the two wreaths, two rows of pomegranates to the one wreath, to cover the two bowls of the crowns that [are] on the front of the pillars.

দুই সারি পরস্পরছেদী জালের জন্য 400 ডালিম (স্তম্ভগুলির উপরে বসানো গামলার আকারবিশিষ্ট স্তম্ভশীর্ষ সাজিয়ে তোলার কাজে ব্যবহৃত প্রত্যেকটি পরস্পরছেদী জালের জন্য দুই সারি করে ডালিম);

14 And the bases he hath made; and the lavers he hath made on the bases;

কয়েকটি তাক ও ধোয়াধুয়ি করার জন্য তাকের সাথে লেগে থাকা কয়েকটি গামলা;

15 the one sea, and the twelve oxen under it,

সমুদ্রপাত্র ও সেটির নিচে থাকা বারোটি বলদ;

16 and the pots, and the shovels, and the forks, and all their vessels, hath Huram his father made for king Solomon, for the house of Jehovah, of brass purified.

কয়েকটি হাঁড়ি, বেলচা, মাংস তোলার কাঁটাচামচ ও আনুষঙ্গিক বাকি সব জিনিসপত্র। সদাপ্রভুর মন্দিরের জন্য রাজা শলোমনের হয়ে হূরম-আবি যেসব সামগ্রী তৈরি করল, সেসবই তৈরি হল পালিশ করা ব্রোঞ্জ দিয়ে।

17 In the circuit of the Jordan hath the king cast them, in the thick soil of the ground, between Succoth and Zeredathah.

জর্ডন-সমভূমিতে সুক্কোৎ ও সর্তনের মাঝামাঝি এক স্থানে মাটির ছাঁচে করে রাজা সেগুলি ঢালাই করিয়েছিলেন।

18 And Solomon maketh all these vessels in great abundance, that the weight of the brass hath not been searched out.

শলোমন এই যেসব জিনিসপত্র তৈরি করলেন, সেগুলি পরিমাণে এত বেশি হল যে ব্রোঞ্জের ওজন হিসেব করে রাখা যায়নি।

19 And Solomon maketh all the vessels that [are for] the house of God, and the altar of gold, and the tables, and on them [is] bread of the presence;

এছাড়াও শলোমন সেইসব আসবাবপত্রাদি তৈরি করলেন, যেগুলি ঈশ্বরের মন্দিরে রাখা হল: সোনার যজ্ঞবেদি; দর্শন-রুটি রাখার টেবিলগুলি;

20 and the candlesticks, and their lamps, for their burning according to the ordinance, before the oracle, of gold refined;

যেমনভাবে তৈরি করতে বলা হল, ঠিক সেভাবেই তৈরি করা বাতি সমেত খাঁটি সোনার সেই দীপাধারগুলি, যেগুলি মহাপবিত্র স্থানের সামনে জ্বালাতে হত;

21 and the flowers, and the lamps, and the tongs of gold — it [is] the perfection of gold;

সোনার ফুলের কাজ এবং প্রদীপ ও চিমটেগুলি (সেগুলি নিরেট সোনা দিয়ে তৈরি হল);

22 and the snuffers, and the bowls, and the spoons, and the censers, of gold refined, and the opening of the house, its innermost doors to the holy of holies, and the doors of the house to the temple, of gold.

খাঁটি সোনা দিয়ে তৈরি পলতে ছাঁটার যন্ত্র, জল ছিটানোর জন্য ব্যবহারযোগ্য বাটি, তথা থালা ও ধূপদানিগুলি; এবং মন্দিরের সোনার দরজাগুলি: মহাপবিত্র স্থানের দিকে থাকা ভিতরদিকের দরজাগুলি ও প্রধান বড়ো ঘরের দরজাগুলি।
