< 1 Timothy 6 >

1 As many as are servants under a yoke, their own masters worthy of all honour let them reckon, that the name of God and the teaching may not be evil spoken of;
Kluvi siwo nye kristotɔwo la nawɔ dɔ na woƒe aƒetɔwo kple ŋusẽ, eye woabu wo; mègana woagblɔ tso Kristo ƒe hadɔwɔlawo ŋuti be wonye kuviatɔwo o. Mègana Mawu ƒe ŋkɔ alo eƒe nufiafia nazu alɔmeɖenu le nu sia ta o.
2 and those having believing masters, let them not slight [them], because they are brethren, but rather let them serve, because they are stedfast and beloved, who of the benefit are partaking. These things be teaching and exhorting;
Ne woƒe aƒetɔ nye kristotɔ la, esia menye mɔnukpɔkpɔ be woawɔ alɔgblɔdɔ le woƒe dɔwɔnawo ŋuti o; ke boŋ ele be woagawɔ dɔ ɖe edzi wu, elabena wole kpekpeɖeŋu nam wo nɔvi xɔsetɔ lɔlɔ̃tɔwo kple woƒe ŋusẽ. Timoteo, fia nyateƒenya siawo, eye nàdo ŋusẽ ame sia ame be wòawɔ ɖe wo dzi.
3 if any one be teaching otherwise, and do not consent to sound words — those of our Lord Jesus Christ — and to the teaching according to piety,
Ame aɖewo asẽ nu agblɔ be nya siawo mele eme o, gake wonye nufiafia dzɔdzɔe si de blibo, wonye esiwo Aƒetɔ Yesu Kristo ŋutɔ fia, eye wonye mawumegbenɔnɔ ƒe gɔmeɖokpe.
4 he is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and word-striving, out of which doth come envy, strife, evil-speakings, evil-surmisings,
Ame si agblɔ nya aɖe si ato vovo tso esia gbɔ la, ame ma nye dadala, eye menya naneke o. Ke ele nyahehe siwo awu nu le masɔmasɔ kple dziku me la hem vɛ. Esia ƒe metsonuwo koe anye ŋuʋaʋã, dzrewɔwɔ, ameŋugbegblẽ kple nu vɔ̃ɖi susu ɖe ame nɔewo ŋuti.
5 wranglings of men wholly corrupted in mind, and destitute of the truth, supposing the piety to be gain; depart from such;
6 but it is great gain — the piety with contentment;
Ke mawuvɔvɔ̃ kple ŋudzedzekpɔkpɔ nye viɖe gã,
7 for nothing did we bring into the world — [it is] manifest that we are able to carry nothing out;
elabena míetsɔ naneke va xexe sia me o, eye edze ƒãa be míatsɔ naneke hã adzoe o.
8 but having food and raiment — with these we shall suffice ourselves;
Ke ne nuɖuɖu kple nudodowo le mía si la, mina woadze mia ŋu.
9 and those wishing to be rich, do fall into temptation and a snare, and many desires, foolish and hurtful, that sink men into ruin and destruction,
Ame siwo dina be yewoazu hotsuitɔwo la gena ɖe tetekpɔ kple mɔtetre kple movidzɔdzɔ kple didi vɔ̃wo me, esiwo kplɔa amewo yina ɖe gbegblẽ kple tsɔtsrɔ̃ me.
10 for a root of all the evils is the love of money, which certain longing for did go astray from the faith, and themselves did pierce through with many sorrows;
Nu tovo wɔwɔwo katã ƒe dzɔtsoƒee nye galɔlɔ̃; ame siwo tsi dzi ɖe gakpɔkpɔ ŋu la, trana tso xɔse la gbɔ, eye wotsɔa veve geɖe ŋɔa wo ɖokuiwoe flofloflo.
11 and thou, O man of God, these things flee, and pursue righteousness, piety, faith, love, endurance, meekness;
Ke wò, Mawu ƒe ame, si le nu siawo katã nu, eye nàti dzɔdzɔenyenye, mawuvɔvɔ̃, xɔse, lɔlɔ̃, tenɔnɔ kple bɔbɔenyenye yome.
12 be striving the good strife of the faith, be laying hold on the life age-during, to which also thou wast called, and didst profess the right profession before many witnesses. (aiōnios g166)
Ʋli xɔse ƒe ʋiʋli nyui la, lé agbe mavɔ si woyɔ wò na, esi nèʋu eme nyuie le ɖasefo geɖewo ƒe ŋkume la me ɖe asi sesĩe. (aiōnios g166)
13 I charge thee, before God, who is making all things alive, and of Christ Jesus, who did testify before Pontius Pilate the right profession,
Mele didim tso asiwò le Mawu si na agbe amewo katã kple Kristo Yesu si ɖi ɖase dzideƒotɔe le Pontio Pilato gbɔ la ƒe ŋkume be

16 who only is having immortality, dwelling in light unapproachable, whom no one of men did see, nor is able to see, to whom [is] honour and might age-during! Amen. (aiōnios g166)
Mawu sia ɖeka hɔ̃ɔ koe mate ŋu aku o; keklẽ gã dziŋɔ aɖe ƒo xlãe ale gbegbe be amegbetɔ aɖeke mate ŋu ate ɖe eŋuti o. Amegbetɔ aɖeke mekpɔe kpɔ o, eye womakpɔe akpɔ hã o. Eya tɔ nanye bubu kple ŋusẽ kple dziɖuɖu tso mavɔ me yi ɖe mavɔ me. Amen. (aiōnios g166)
17 Those rich in the present age charge thou not to be high-minded, nor to hope in the uncertainty of riches, but in the living God, who is giving to us all things richly for enjoyment; — (aiōn g165)
Gblɔ na kesinɔtɔ siwo le xexe sia me la katã be womegada wo ɖokuiwo, eye woaɖo ŋu ɖe woƒe ga si nu ava yi kpuie la ŋuti o; ke boŋ woƒe dada kple ŋuɖoɖo nanɔ Mawu gbagbe si naa nu siwo katã míehiã na míaƒe dzidzɔkpɔkpɔ la mí fũu ɖeɖe ko ŋu. (aiōn g165)
18 to do good, to be rich in good works, to be ready to impart, willing to communicate,
Gblɔ na wo be woawɔ woƒe ga ŋu dɔ le dɔ nyui wɔwɔ me. Ele be woazu kesinɔtɔwo le dɔ nyui wɔwɔ me, eye woana nu hiãtɔwo faa kple dzidzɔ, eye woanɔ klalo ɣe sia ɣi be woama nu sia nu si Mawu tsɔ na wo la kple ame bubuwo.
19 treasuring up to themselves a right foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on the life age-during.

20 O Timotheus, the thing entrusted guard thou, avoiding the profane vain-words and opposition of the falsely-named knowledge,
