1 Corinthians 15
1 And I make known to you, brethren, the good news that I proclaimed to you, which also ye did receive, in which also ye have stood,
Empero os declaro, hermanos, el evangelio que os he predicado, el cual también recibisteis, y en el cual estáis firmes;
2 through which also ye are being saved, in what words I proclaimed good news to you, if ye hold fast, except ye did believe in vain,
Por el cual asimismo sois salvos, si retenéis en la memoria lo que os he predicado, si no es que habéis creído en vano.
3 for I delivered to you first, what also I did receive, that Christ died for our sins, according to the Writings,
Porque primeramente os he enseñado lo que asimismo yo recibí, es a saber: que Cristo fue muerto por nuestros pecados, conforme a las Escrituras;
4 and that he was buried, and that he hath risen on the third day, according to the Writings,
Y que fue sepultado, y que resucitó al tercero día, conforme a las Escrituras;
5 and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve,
Y que fue visto por Céfas; y después por los doce:
6 afterwards he appeared to above five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain till now, and certain also did fall asleep;
Que después fue visto de más de quinientos hermanos a la vez: de los cuales los más viven aun, empero algunos han dormido.
7 afterwards he appeared to James, then to all the apostles.
Que después fue visto por Santiago, después por todos los apóstoles.
8 And last of all — as to the untimely birth — he appeared also to me,
Y a la postre de todos, fue visto por mí también, como por uno nacido fuera de debido tiempo.
9 for I am the least of the apostles, who am not worthy to be called an apostle, because I did persecute the assembly of God,
Porque yo soy el menor de los apóstoles, que no soy digno de ser llamado apóstol, porque perseguía a la iglesia de Dios.
10 and by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace that [is] towards me came not in vain, but more abundantly than they all did I labour, yet not I, but the grace of God that [is] with me;
Empero por la gracia de Dios soy lo que soy; y su gracia no ha sido en vano para conmigo; antes he trabajado más que todos ellos: pero no yo, sino la gracia de Dios que fue conmigo.
11 whether, then, I or they, so we preach, and so ye did believe.
Por tanto, sea yo, o sean ellos, así predicamos, y así habéis creído.
12 And if Christ is preached, that out of the dead he hath risen, how say certain among you, that there is no rising again of dead persons?
Mas si se predica a Cristo, que resucitó de los muertos, ¿cómo dicen algunos entre vosotros, que no hay resurrección de los muertos?
13 and if there be no rising again of dead persons, neither hath Christ risen;
Porque si no hay resurrección de los muertos, Cristo tampoco resucitó.
14 and if Christ hath not risen, then void [is] our preaching, and void also your faith,
Y si Cristo no resucitó, luego vana es nuestra predicación, y vana es también vuestra fe.
15 and we also are found false witnesses of God, because we did testify of God that He raised up the Christ, whom He did not raise if then dead persons do not rise;
Y también somos hallados falsos testigos de Dios; porque hemos testificado de Dios, que él haya levantado a Cristo: al cual empero no levantó, si es así que los muertos no resucitan.
16 for if dead persons do not rise, neither hath Christ risen,
Porque si los muertos no resucitan, tampoco Cristo resucitó.
17 and if Christ hath not risen, vain is your faith, ye are yet in your sins;
Y si Cristo no resucitó, vuestra fe es vana; aun os estáis en vuestros pecados.
18 then, also, those having fallen asleep in Christ did perish;
Luego también los que durmieron en Cristo, son perdidos.
19 if in this life we have hope in Christ only, of all men we are most to be pitied.
Si en esta vida solamente tenemos esperanza en Cristo, los más desdichados somos de todos los hombres.
20 And now, Christ hath risen out of the dead — the first-fruits of those sleeping he became,
Mas ahora, Cristo ha resucitado de los muertos: y él es hecho primicias de los que durmieron.
21 for since through man [is] the death, also through man [is] a rising again of the dead,
Porque por cuanto la muerte vino por hombre, también por hombre vino la resurrección de los muertos.
22 for even as in Adam all die, so also in the Christ all shall be made alive,
Porque a la manera que todos en Adam mueren, así también todos en Cristo serán vivificados.
23 and each in his proper order, a first-fruit Christ, afterwards those who are the Christ's, in his presence,
Mas cada uno en su orden: Cristo las primicias; luego los que son de Cristo en su venida.
24 then — the end, when he may deliver up the reign to God, even the Father, when he may have made useless all rule, and all authority and power —
Luego viene el fin: cuando entregará el reino a Dios y al Padre; cuando hubiere abatido todo imperio, y toda potencia, y potestad.
25 for it behoveth him to reign till he may have put all the enemies under his feet —
Porque es menester que él reine, hasta que sujete a todos sus enemigos debajo de sus pies.
26 the last enemy is done away — death;
Y el postrer enemigo que será destruido, es la muerte.
27 for all things He did put under his feet, and, when one may say that all things have been subjected, [it is] evident that He is excepted who did subject the all things to him,
Porque todas las cosas sujetó debajo de sus pies. Mas cuando dice: Todas las cosas son sujetadas a él, claro es que está exceptuado el mismo que sujetó a él todas las cosas.
28 and when the all things may be subjected to him, then the Son also himself shall be subject to Him, who did subject to him the all things, that God may be the all in all.
Mas después que todas las cosas le fueren sujetas, entonces también el mismo Hijo se sujetará al que le sujetó a él todas las cosas, para que Dios sea todo en todos.
29 Seeing what shall they do who are baptized for the dead, if the dead do not rise at all? why also are they baptized for the dead?
De otro modo, ¿qué harán, los que son bautizados por los muertos, si en ninguna manera los muertos resucitan? ¿Por qué, pues, son bautizados por los muertos?
30 why also do we stand in peril every hour?
¿Y por qué nosotros peligramos a toda hora?
31 Every day do I die, by the glorying of you that I have in Christ Jesus our Lord:
Cada día muero; lo protesto por vuestra gloria, la cual tengo en Cristo Jesús Señor nuestro.
32 if after the manner of a man with wild beasts I fought in Ephesus, what the advantage to me if the dead do not rise? let us eat and drink, for to-morrow we die!
Si como hombre batallé en Efeso contra las bestias, ¿qué me aprovecha si los muertos no resucitan? Comamos y bebamos, que mañana moriremos:
33 Be not led astray; evil communications corrupt good manners;
No os engañéis. Las malas conversaciones corrompen las buenas costumbres.
34 awake up, as is right, and sin not; for certain have an ignorance of God; for shame to you I say [it].
Despertád, como es justo, y no pequéis; porque algunos no conocen a Dios, para vergüenza vuestra lo digo.
35 But some one will say, 'How do the dead rise?
Mas alguno dirá: ¿Cómo resucitan los muertos? ¿Con qué cuerpo salen?
36 unwise! thou — what thou dost sow is not quickened except it may die;
¡Insensato! lo que tú siembras, no revive, si antes no muriere:
37 and that which thou dost sow, not the body that shall be dost thou sow, but bare grain, it may be of wheat, or of some one of the others,
Y lo que siembras, no siembras el cuerpo que ha de ser, sino el grano desnudo, puede ser de trigo, o de alguno de los otros granos:
38 and God doth give to it a body according as He willed, and to each of the seeds its proper body.
Mas Dios le da el cuerpo como él ha querido, y a cada simiente su propio cuerpo.
39 All flesh [is] not the same flesh, but there is one flesh of men, and another flesh of beasts, and another of fishes, and another of birds;
Toda carne no es la misma carne, mas una carne es la de los hombres, y otra carne es la de los animales, y otra la de los peces, y otra la de las aves.
40 and [there are] heavenly bodies, and earthly bodies; but one [is] the glory of the heavenly, and another that of the earthly;
Hay también cuerpos celestes, y cuerpos terrestres; mas una es la gloria de los celestes, y otra la de los terrestres.
41 one glory of sun, and another glory of moon, and another glory of stars, for star from star doth differ in glory.
Una es la gloria del sol, y otra la gloria de la luna, y otra la gloria de las estrellas; porque una estrella se diferencia de otra estrella en gloria.
42 So also [is] the rising again of the dead: it is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption;
Así también es la resurrección de los muertos. Se siembra en corrupción; se levantará en incorrupción:
43 it is sown in dishonour, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power;
Se siembra en vergüenza; se levantará en gloria: se siembra en flaqueza; se levantará en poder:
44 it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body; there is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body;
Se siembra cuerpo animal; resucitará cuerpo espiritual. Hay cuerpo animal, y hay cuerpo espiritual.
45 so also it hath been written, 'The first man Adam became a living creature,' the last Adam [is] for a life-giving spirit,
Y así está escrito: Fue hecho el primer hombre Adam en alma viviente; el postrer Adam fue hecho en espíritu vivificante.
46 but that which is spiritual [is] not first, but that which [was] natural, afterwards that which [is] spiritual.
Mas lo que es espiritual no es primero, sino lo que es animal; y después lo que es espiritual.
47 The first man [is] out of the earth, earthy; the second man [is] the Lord out of heaven;
El primer hombre es de la tierra, terreno: el segundo hombre, que es el Señor, es del cielo.
48 as [is] the earthy, such [are] also the earthy; and as [is] the heavenly, such [are] also the heavenly;
Cual el terreno, tales también los terrenos; y cual el celestial, tales también los celestiales.
49 and, according as we did bear the image of the earthy, we shall bear also the image of the heavenly.
Y así como hemos llevado la imagen del terreno, llevaremos también la imagen del celestial.
50 And this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood the reign of God is not able to inherit, nor doth the corruption inherit the incorruption;
Esto empero digo, hermanos: Que la carne y la sangre no pueden heredar el reino de Dios: ni la corrupción hereda la incorrupción.
51 lo, I tell you a secret; we indeed shall not all sleep, and we all shall be changed;
He aquí, un misterio, os digo: Todos ciertamente no dormiremos; mas todos seremos transformados.
52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, in the last trumpet, for it shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we — we shall be changed:
En un momento, en un abrir de ojo, a sonido de la final trompeta; porque será tocada la trompeta, y los muertos serán levantados incorruptibles, y nosotros seremos transformados.
53 for it behoveth this corruptible to put on incorruption, and this mortal to put on immortality;
Porque es menester que esto corruptible sea vestido de incorrupción, y esto mortal sea vestido de inmortalidad.
54 and when this corruptible may have put on incorruption, and this mortal may have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the word that hath been written, 'The Death was swallowed up — to victory;
Y cuando esto corruptible fuere vestido de incorrupción, y esto mortal fuere vestido de inmortalidad, entonces será cumplida la palabra que está escrita: Sorbida es la muerte en la victoria.
¿Dónde está, oh muerte, tu aguijón? ¿Dónde está, oh sepulcro, tu victoria? (Hadēs g86)
56 and the sting of the death [is] the sin, and the power of the sin the law;
El aguijón de la muerte es el pecado; y la fuerza del pecado, la ley.
57 and to God — thanks, to Him who is giving us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ;
Mas a Dios gracias, que nos dio la victoria por el Señor nuestro Jesu Cristo.
58 so that, my brethren beloved, become ye stedfast, unmovable, abounding in the work of the Lord at all times, knowing that your labour is not vain in the Lord.
Así que, hermanos míos amados, estád firmes y constantes, abundando siempre en la obra del Señor, sabiendo que vuestro trabajo en el Señor no es vano.
