1 Sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.

2 And the sons of Kohath; Amram, Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel.

3 And sons of Amram: Aaron, and Moses, and Miriam. And sons of Aaron: Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.

4 Eleazar begat Phinehas, Phinehas begat Abishua,
Eleasar zeugte Pinehas; Pinehas zeugte Abischua,
5 and Abishua begat Bukki, and Bukki begat Uzzi,
und Abischua zeugte Bukki, und Bukki zeugte Ussi,
6 and Uzzi begat Zerahiah, and Zerahiah begat Meraioth,
und Ussi zeugte Serachja, und Serachja zeugte Merajoth;
7 Meraioth begat Amariah, and Amariah begat Ahitub,
Merajoth zeugte Amarja, und Amarja zeugte Ahitub,
8 and Ahitub begat Zadok, and Zadok begat Ahimaaz,
und Ahitub zeugte Zadok, und Zadok zeugte Achimaaz,
9 and Ahimaaz begat Azariah, and Azariah begat Johanan,
und Achimaaz zeugte Asarja, und Asarja zeugte Jochanan,
10 and Johanan begat Azariah, him who acted as priest in the house that Solomon built in Jerusalem.
und Jochanan zeugte Asarja; dieser ist es, der den Priesterdienst ausübte in dem Hause, welches Salomo zu Jerusalem gebaut hatte.
11 And Azariah begetteth Amariah, and Amariah begat Ahitub,

12 and Ahitub begat Zadok, and Zadok begat Shallum,
und Ahitub zeugte Zadok, und Zadok zeugte Schallum,
13 and Shallum begat Hilkiah, and Hilkiah begat Azariah,
und Schallum zeugte Hilkija, und Hilkija zeugte Asarja,
14 and Azariah begat Seraiah, and Seraiah begat Jehozadak;
und Asarja zeugte Seraja, und Seraja zeugte Jehozadak;
15 and Jehozadak hath gone in Jehovah's removing Judah and Jerusalem by the hand of Nebuchadnezzar.
und Jehozadak zog mit, als Jehova Juda und Jerusalem durch Nebukadnezar wegführte.
16 Sons of Levi: Gershom, Kohath, and Merari.
Die Söhne Levis: Gersom, Kehath und Merari.
17 And these [are] names of sons of Gershom: Libni and Shimei.
Und dies sind die Namen der Söhne Gersoms: Libni und Simei.
18 And sons of Kohath: Amram, and Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel.
Und die Söhne Kehaths: Amram und Jizhar und Hebron und Ussiel.
19 Sons of Merari; Mahli and Mushi. And these [are] families of the Levite according to their fathers;
Die Söhne Meraris: Machli und Musi. Und dies sind die Familien der Leviten nach ihren Vätern:
20 of Gershom: Libni his son, Jahath his son, Zimmah his son,

25 And sons of Elkanah; Amasai and Ahimoth.

28 And sons of Samuel: the first-born Vashni, and the second Abijah.

31 And these [are] they whom David stationed over the parts of the song of the house of Jehovah, from the resting of the ark,
Und diese sind es, welche David zur Leitung des Gesanges [O. zum Gesang] im Hause Jehovas anstellte, seitdem die Lade einen Ruheplatz hatte;
32 and they are ministering before the tabernacle of the tent of meeting, in song, till the building by Solomon of the house of Jehovah in Jerusalem; and they stand according to their ordinance over their service.
und sie verrichteten den Dienst vor der Wohnung des Zeltes der Zusammenkunft beim Gesang, [O. mit Gesang] bis Salomo das Haus Jehovas zu Jerusalem gebaut hatte; und sie standen nach ihrer Ordnung ihrem Dienste vor.
33 And these [are] those standing, and their sons: of the sons of the Kohathite: Heman the singer, son of Joel, son of Shemuel,
Und diese sind es, die da standen, und ihre Söhne: Von den Söhnen der Kehathiter: Heman, der Sänger, der Sohn Joels, des Sohnes Samuels,
34 son of Elkanah, son of Jeroham, son of Eliel, son of Toah,
des Sohnes Elkanas, des Sohnes Jerochams, des Sohnes Eliels, des Sohnes Toachs, [in 1. Sam. 1,1: Tochu]
35 son of Zuph, son of Elkanah, son of Mahath, son of Amasai,

39 And his brother Asaph, who is standing on his right — Asaph, son of Berachiah, son of Shimea,

40 son of Michael, son of Baaseiah, son of Malchiah,

44 And sons of Merari, their brethren, [are] on the left. Ethan son of Kishi, son of Abdi, son of Malluch,

45 son of Hashabiah, son of Amaziah, son of Hilkiah,

46 son of Amzi, son of Bani, son of Shamer,
des Sohnes Amzis, des Sohnes Banis, des Sohnes Schemers,
47 son of Mahli, son of Mushi, son of Merari, son of Levi.

48 And their brethren the Levites are put to all the service of the tabernacle of the house of God.
Und ihre Brüder, die Leviten, waren gegeben [Vergl. 4. Mose 3,9;8,16] zu allem Dienst der Wohnung des Hauses Gottes.
49 And Aaron and his sons are making perfume on the altar of the burnt-offering, and on the altar of the perfume, for all the work of the holy of holies, and to make atonement for Israel, according to all that Moses servant of God commanded.
Und Aaron und seine Söhne räucherten auf dem Brandopferaltar und auf dem Räucheraltar, nach [O. zu] allem Geschäft des Allerheiligsten und um Sühnung zu tun für Israel; nach allem, was Mose, der Knecht Gottes, geboten hatte.
50 And these [are] sons of Aaron: Eleazar his son, Phinehas his son, Abishua his son,
Und dies waren die Söhne Aarons: dessen Sohn Eleasar, dessen Sohn Pinehas, dessen Sohn Abischua,
51 Bukki his son, Uzzi his son, Zerahiah his son,
dessen Sohn Bukki, dessen Sohn Ussi, dessen Sohn Serachja,
52 Meraioth his son, Amariah his son, Ahitub his son,
dessen Sohn Merajoth, dessen Sohn Amarja, dessen Sohn Ahitub,
53 Zadok his son, Ahimaaz his son.

54 And these [are] their dwellings, throughout their towers, in their borders, of the sons of Aaron, of the family of the Kohathite, for theirs was the lot;
Und dies waren ihre Wohnsitze, nach ihren Gehöften [O. Niederlassungen] in ihren Grenzen: Den Söhnen Aarons von dem Geschlecht der Kehathiter [denn für sie war das erste Los],
55 and they give to them Hebron in the land of Judah and its suburbs round about it;
ihnen gaben sie Hebron im Lande Juda und seine Bezirke rings um dasselbe her.
56 and the field of the city and its villages they gave to Caleb son of Jephunneh.
Aber das Feld der Stadt und ihre Dörfer gaben sie Kaleb, dem Sohne Jephunnes.
57 And to the sons of Aaron they gave the cities of refuge: Hebron, and Libnah and its suburbs, and Jattir, and Eshtemoa and its suburbs,
Und sie gaben den Söhnen Aarons die Zufluchtstadt [Eig. Zufluchtsstädte; so auch v 67] Hebron; und Libna und seine Bezirke, und Jattir, und Estemoa und seine Bezirke,
58 and Hilen and its suburbs, Debir and its suburbs,
und Hilen und seine Bezirke, Debir und seine Bezirke,
59 and Ashan and its suburbs, and Beth-Shemesh and its suburbs.
und Aschan und seine Bezirke, und Beth-Semes und seine Bezirke.
60 And from the tribe of Benjamin, Geba and its suburbs, and Allemeth and its suburbs, and Anathoth and its suburbs. All their cities [are] thirteen cities, for their families.
Und vom Stamme Benjamin: Geba und seine Bezirke, und Allemeth und seine Bezirke, und Anathoth und seine Bezirke. Alle ihre Städte: dreizehn Städte nach ihren Familien. -
61 And to the sons of Kohath, those left of the family of the tribe, from the half of the tribe, the half of Manasseh, by lot, [are] ten cities.
Und den übrigen Söhnen Kehaths gaben sie von dem Geschlecht des Stammes Ephraim und vom Stamme Dan und von der Hälfte des Stammes Manasse [Eig. der Hälfte des Stammes des halben Manasse] durchs Los, zehn Städte. [Vergl. Jos. 21,4 usw.]
62 And to the sons of Gershom, for their families, from the tribe of Issachar, and from the tribe of Asher, and from the tribe of Naphtali, and from the tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteen cities.
Und den Söhnen Gersoms, nach ihren Familien: vom Stamme Issaschar und vom Stamme Aser und vom Stamme Naphtali und vom Stamme Manasse in Basan, dreizehn Städte.
63 To the sons of Merari, for their families, from the tribe of Reuben, and from the tribe of Gad, and from the tribe of Zebulun, by lot, twelve cities.
Den Söhnen Meraris, nach ihren Familien: vom Stamme Ruben und vom Stamme Gad und vom Stamme Sebulon, durchs Los, zwölf Städte.
64 And the sons of Israel give to the Levites the cities and their suburbs.
Und die Kinder Israel gaben den Leviten die Städte und ihre Bezirke.
65 And they give by lot from the tribe of the sons of Judah, and from the tribe of the sons of Simeon, and from the tribe of the sons of Benjamin, these cities which they call by name;
Und zwar gaben sie durchs Los vom Stamme der Kinder Juda und vom Stamme der Kinder Simeon und vom Stamme der Kinder Benjamin diese Städte, die sie mit Namen nannten.
66 and some of the families of the sons of Kohath have cities of their border from the tribe of Ephraim;
Und die übrigen von den Familien der Söhne Kehaths erhielten die Städte ihres Gebiets vom Stamme Ephraim.
67 and they give to them the cities of refuge, Shechem and its suburbs in the hill-country of Ephraim, and Gezer and its suburbs,
Und sie gaben ihnen die Zufluchtstadt Sichem und ihre Bezirke, im Gebirge Ephraim; und Geser und seine Bezirke,
68 and Jokmeam and its suburbs, and Beth-Horan and its suburbs,
und Jokmeam und seine Bezirke, und Beth-Horon und seine Bezirke,
69 and Aijalon and its suburbs, and Gath-Rimmon and its suburbs;
und Ajalon und seine Bezirke, und Gath-Rimmon und seine Bezirke.
70 and from the half tribe of Manasseh, Aner and its suburbs, and Bileam and its suburbs, for the family of the sons of Kohath who are left.
Und von der Hälfte des Stammes Manasse: Aner und seine Bezirke, und Bileam und seine Bezirke-den Familien der übrigen Söhne Kehaths.
71 To the sons of Gershom from the family of the half of the tribe of Manasseh [are] Golan in Bashan and its suburbs, and Ashtaroth and its suburbs;
Den Söhnen Gersoms: vom Geschlecht des halben Stammes Manasse: Golan in Basan und seine Bezirke, und Astaroth und seine Bezirke;
72 and from the tribe of Issachar; Kedesh and its suburbs, Daberath and its suburbs,
und vom Stamme Issaschar: Kedes und seine Bezirke, und Dobrath und seine Bezirke,
73 and Ramoth and its suburbs, and Anem and its suburbs;
und Ramoth und seine Bezirke, und Anem und seine Bezirke;
74 and from the tribe of Asher; Mashal and its suburbs, and Abdon and its suburbs,
und vom Stamme Aser: Maschal und seine Bezirke, und Abdon und seine Bezirke,
75 and Hukok and its suburbs, and Rehob and its suburbs;
und Hukok und seine Bezirke, und Rechob und seine Bezirke;
76 and from the tribe of Naphtali: Kedesh in Galilee and its suburbs, and Hammon and its suburbs, and Kirjathaim and its suburbs.
und vom Stamme Naphtali: Kedes in Galiläa und seine Bezirke, und Hammon und seine Bezirke, und Kirjathaim und seine Bezirke.
77 To the sons of Merari who are left, from the tribe of Zebulun, [are] Rimmon and its suburbs, Tabor and its suburbs;
Den übrigen Söhnen Meraris: vom Stamme Sebulon: Rimmono und seine Bezirke, Tabor und seine Bezirke;
78 and from beyond the Jordan by Jericho, at the east of the Jordan, from the tribe of Reuben, Bezer in the wilderness and its suburbs, and Jahzah and its suburbs,
und jenseit des Jordan von Jericho, östlich vom Jordan, vom Stamme Ruben: Bezer in der Wüste und seine Bezirke, und Jahza und seine Bezirke,
79 and Kedemoth and its suburbs, and Mephaath and its suburbs;
und Kedemoth und seine Bezirke, und Mephaath und seine Bezirke;
80 and from the tribe of Gad: Ramoth in Gilead and its suburbs, and Mahanaim and its suburbs,
und vom Stamme Gad: Ramoth in Gilead und seine Bezirke, und Machanaim und seine Bezirke,
81 and Heshbon and its suburbs, and Jazer and its suburbs.
