1 Chronicles 26
1 For the courses of the gatekeepers: of the Korhites [is] Meshelemiah son of Kore, of the sons of Asaph;
Voici la distribution des portiers: d’entre les Corites, Mésélémia, fils de Coré, d’entre les fils d’Asaph.
2 and to Meshelemiah [are] sons, Zechariah the first-born, Jediael the second, Zebadiah the third, Jathniel the fourth,
Les fils de Mésélémia furent Zacharie, le premier né, Jadihel, le second, Zabadias, le troisième, Jathanaël, le quatrième;
3 Elam the fifth, Jehohanan the sixth, Elioenai the seventh.
Aelam, le cinquième, Johanan, le sixième, Elioénaï, le septième;
4 And to Obed-Edom [are] sons, Shemaiah the first-born, Jehozabad the second, Joah the third, and Sacar the fourth, and Nethaneel the fifth,
Mais les fils d’Obédédom, Séméias, le premier-né, Jozabad, le second, Joaha, le troisième, Sachar, le quatrième, Nathanaël, le cinquième;
5 Ammiel the sixth, Issachar the seventh, Peullethai the eighth, for God hath blessed him.
Ammiel, le sixième, Issachar, le septième, et Phollathi, le huitième, parce que le Seigneur le bénit.
6 And to Shemaiah his son have sons been born, who are ruling throughout the house of their father, for they [are] mighty of valour.
Or à Séméi, son fils, naquirent des fils, chefs de leurs familles; car ils étaient des hommes très forts.
7 Sons of Shemaiah [are] Othni, and Rephael, and Obed, Elzabad; his brethren [are] sons of valour, Elihu and Semachiah,
Les fils donc de Séméi furent Othni, Raphaël, Obed, Elzabad et ses frères, hommes très forts; Eliu aussi et Samachias.
8 all these [are] of the sons of Obed-Edom; they, and their sons, and their brethren, men of valour with might for service, [are] sixty and two of Obed-Edom.
Tous ceux-là étaient d’entre les fils d’Obédédom: eux, leurs fils et leurs frères, très forts pour remplir leur ministère, étaient soixante-deux de la maison d’Obédédom.
9 And to Meshelemiah [are] sons and brethren, sons of valour, eighteen;
Or les fils de Mésélémia et leurs frères, très robustes, étaient dix-huit.
10 and to Hosah, of the sons of Merari, [are] sons: Shimri the head (though he was not first-born, yet his father setteth him for head),
Mais d’Hosa, c’est-à-dire d’entre les fils de Mérari, est venu Semri, le prince (car, comme il n’avait pas de premier-né, son père l’avait établi prince).
11 Hilkiah the second, Tebaliah the third, Zechariah the fourth; all the sons and brethren of Hosah [are] thirteen.
Helcias était le second; Tabélias, le troisième; Zacharie, le quatrième. Tous ces fils et les frères d’Hosa étaient treize.
12 According to these [are] the courses of the gatekeepers; to the heads of the mighty ones [are] charges over-against their brethren, to minister in the house of Jehovah,
Ceux-là furent distribués comme portiers, de telle sorte que les chefs des gardes, ainsi que leurs frères, servaient toujours dans la maison du Seigneur.
13 and they cause to fall lots, as well the small as the great, according to the house of their fathers, for gate and gate.
Les sorts furent donc jetés sans distinction, et par les petits et par les grands, selon leurs familles, pour chacune des portes.
14 And the lot falleth eastward to Shelemiah; and [for] Zechariah his son — a counsellor with understanding — they cause to fall lots, and his lot goeth out northward:
Ainsi la porte orientale échut à Sémélias. Mais à Zacharie son fils, qui était un homme très sage et habile, advint par le sort le côté septentrional;
15 to Obed-Edom southward, and to his sons, the house of the gatherings;
Tandis qu’à Obédédom et à ses fils, ce fut le côté du midi, dans laquelle partie de la maison était le conseil des anciens;
16 to Shuppim and to Hosah to the west, with the gate Shallecheth, in the highway, the ascent, charge over-against charge;
À Séphim et à Hosa, le côté de l’occident, près de la porte qui conduit à la voie de la montée: garde contre garde.
17 to the east the Levites [are] six; to the north daily four, to the south daily four, and to the gatherings two by two,
Mais à l’orient étaient six Lévites, et vers l’aquilon, quatre par jour; vers le midi, également quatre par jour; et là où se tenait le conseil, ils servaient deux à deux.
18 at Parbar, to the west, [are] four at the highway, two at Parbar.
De plus, dans les petites chambres des portiers à l’occident, il y en avait quatre sur la voie; deux par chaque chambre.
19 These are the courses of the gatekeepers, of the sons of the Korhite, and of the sons of Merari.
Telle était la distribution des portiers, fils de Coré et de Mérari.
20 And of the Levites, Ahijah [is] over the treasures of the house of God, even for the treasures of the holy things.
Or Achias était préposé sur les trésors de la maison de Dieu, et les vases sacrés.
21 Sons of Laadan: sons of the Gershonite, of Laadan, heads of the fathers of Laadan the Gershonite: Jehieli.
Les fils de Lédan sont les fils du Gersonnien. De Lédan viennent les princes de familles, Lédan, et le Gersonnien, Jéhiéli.
22 Sons of Jehieli: Zetham, and Joel his brother, over the treasures of the house of Jehovah,
Les fils de Jéhiéli et Zathan et Joël, ses frères, étaient préposés sur les trésors de la maison du Seigneur,
23 for the Amramite, for the Izharite, for the Hebronite, for the Uzzielite.
Avec les Amramites, les Isaarites, les Hébronites et les Oziélites.
24 And Shebuel son of Gershom, son of Moses, [is] president over the treasures.
Or Subaël, fils de Gersom, fils de Moïse, était préposé aux trésors;
25 And his brethren, of Eliezer, [are] Rehabiah his son, and Jeshaiah his son, and Joram his son, and Zichri his son, and Shelomith his son.
De même que ses frères Eliézer, dont le fils, Rahabia, dont le fils, Isaïe, dont le fils, Joram, dont le fils, Zechri, dont le fils, Sélémith.
26 This Shelomith and his brethren [are] over all the treasures of the holy things, that David the king, and heads of the fathers, even heads of thousands, and of hundreds, and heads of the host, sanctified;
Sélémith lui-même et ses frères étaient préposés sur les trésors des choses saintes que le roi David consacra, ainsi que les princes des familles, les tribuns, les centurions et les chefs de l’armée,
27 from the battles, even from the spoil they sanctified to strengthen the house of Jehovah;
Comme provenant des guerres et du butin des combats, et qu’ils avaient consacrés pour la restauration et les meubles du temple du Seigneur.
28 and all that Samuel the seer, and Saul son of Kish, and Abner son of Ner, and Joab son of Zeruiah sanctified, every one sanctifying [any thing — it is] by the side of Shelomith and his brethren.
Samuel, le Voyant, consacra aussi toutes ces choses, de même que Saül, fils de Cis, Abner, fils de Ner, et Joab, fils de Sarvia: tous ceux qui les consacrèrent le firent par l’entremise de Sélémith et de ses frères.
29 Of the Izharite, Chenaniah and his sons [are] for the outward work over Israel, for officers and for judges.
Quant aux Isaarites, Chonénias était à leur tête, ainsi que ses fils, pour les choses de dehors touchant Israël, pour les instruire et les juger.
30 Of the Hebronite, Hashabiah and his brethren, sons of valour, a thousand and seven hundred, [are] over the inspection of Israel, beyond the Jordan westward, for all the work of Jehovah, and for the service of the king.
Mais d’entre les Hébronites, Hasabias et ses frères, hommes très forts, au nombre de mille sept cents, étaient à la tête des Israélites au-delà du Jourdain, contre l’occident, pour toutes les œuvres qui avaient rapport au Seigneur, et pour le service du roi.
31 Of the Hebronite, Jerijah [is] the head, of the Hebronite, according to his generations, for the fathers — in the fortieth year of the reign of David they have been sought out, and there are found among them mighty ones of valour, in Jazer of Gilead —
Or le prince des Hébronites, selon leurs familles et leur parenté, fut Jéria. En la quarantième année du règne de David, ils furent recensés, et ils se trouvèrent à Jazer-Galaad, eux, hommes très forts,
32 and his brethren, sons of valour, two thousand and seven hundred, [are] heads of the fathers, and king David appointeth them over the Reubenite, and the Gadite, and the half of the tribe of Manasseh, for every matter of God and matter of the king.
Et ses frères, qui étaient dans la force de l’âge, au nombre de deux mille sept cents princes de familles. Or David, le roi, les préposa aux Rubénites, aux Gadites et à la demi-tribu de Manassé pour tout le service de Dieu et du roi.
