1 Chronicles 15

1 And he maketh for himself houses in the city of David, and prepareth a place for the ark of God, and stretcheth out for it a tent.

Hizo también casas para sí en la ciudad de David, y labró un lugar para el arca de Dios, y tendióle una tienda.

2 Then said David, 'None [are] to carry the ark of God, except the Levites, for on them hath Jehovah fixed to carry the ark of God, and to serve Him — unto the age.'

Entonces dijo David: El arca de Dios no debe ser traída sino por los Levitas, porque a ellos ha elegido Jehová para que lleven el arca de Jehová y le sirvan perpetuamente.

3 And David assembleth all Israel unto Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of Jehovah unto its place that he had prepared for it.

Y juntó David a todo Israel en Jerusalem, para que pasasen el arca de Jehová a su lugar, que él le había aparejado.

4 And David gathereth the sons of Aaron, and the Levites.

Juntó también David a los hijos de Aarón, y a los Levitas:

5 Of sons of Kohath: Uriel the chief, and his brethren, a hundred and twenty.

De los hijos de Caat; Uriel el principal, y sus hermanos, ciento y veinte:

6 Of sons of Merari: Asaiah the chief, and his brethren, two hundred and twenty.

De los hijos de Merari; Asaías el principal, y sus hermanos, doscientos y veinte:

7 Of sons of Gershom: Joel the chief, and his brethren, a hundred and thirty.

De los hijos de Gersón; Joel el principal, y sus hermanos, ciento y treinta:

8 Of sons of Elizaphan: Shemaiah the chief, and his brethren, two hundred.

De los hijos de Elisafán; Semeías el principal, y sus hermanos, doscientos:

9 Of sons of Hebron: Eliel the chief, and his brethren, eighty.

De los hijos de Hebrón; Eliel el principal, y sus hermanos, ochenta:

10 Of sons of Uzziel: Amminadab the chief, and his brethren, a hundred and twelve.

De los hijos de Oziel; Aminadab el principal, y sus hermanos, ciento y doce.

11 And David calleth to Zadok and to Abiathar the priests, and to the Levites, to Uriel, Asaiah, and Joel, Shemaiah, and Eliel, and Amminadab,

Y llamó también David a Sadoc, y a Abiatar sacerdotes, y a los Levitas, Uriel, Asaías, Joel, Semeías, Eliel, y Aminadab,

12 and saith to them, 'Ye [are] heads of the fathers of the Levites; sanctify yourselves, ye and your brethren, and ye have brought up the ark of Jehovah, God of Israel, unto [the place] I have prepared for it;

Y díjoles: Vosotros que sois los príncipes de padres entre los Levitas, santificáos a vosotros, y a vuestros hermanos, y pasád el arca de Jehová Dios de Israel al lugar que le he aparejado.

13 because at the first [it was] not ye, Jehovah our God made a breach upon us, because we sought Him not according to the ordinance.'

Porque por no haberlo hecho así vosotros la primera vez, Jehová nuestro Dios hizo en nosotros rotura; por cuanto no le buscamos según la ordenanza.

14 And the priests and the Levites sanctify themselves, to bring up the ark of Jehovah, God of Israel;

Así los sacerdotes y los Levitas se santificaron para traer el arca de Jehová Dios de Israel.

15 and sons of the Levites bear the ark of God, as Moses commanded, according to the word of Jehovah, on their shoulder, with staves, above them.

Y los hijos de los Levitas trajeron el arca de Dios, como lo había mandado Moisés, conforme a la palabra de Jehová, puesta sobre sus hombros las barras.

16 And David saith to the heads of the Levites to appoint their brethren the singers, with instruments of song, psalteries, and harps, and cymbals, sounding, to lift up with the voice for joy.

Asimismo dijo David a los principales de los Levitas, que constituyesen de sus hermanos cantores, con instrumentos de música, con salterios, y arpas, y címbalos, que resonasen, y alzasen la voz en alegría.

17 And the Levites appoint Heman son of Joel, and of his brethren, Asaph son of Berechiah, and of the sons of Merari their brethren, Ethan son of Kushaiah;

Y los Levitas constituyeron a Hemán, hijo de Joel; y de sus hermanos, a Asaf, hijo de Baraquías; y de los hijos de Merari, y de sus hermanos, a Etán, hijo de Casaias:

18 and with them their brethren, the seconds [in rank], Zechariah, Ben, and Jaaziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, Eliab, and Benaiah, and Maaseiah, and Mattithiah, and Elipheleh, and Mikneiah; and Obed-Edom and Jeiel the gatekeepers;

Y con ellos a sus hermanos de la segunda orden, a Zacarías, Ben, y Jaziel: Semiramot, Jahiel, Ani, Eliab, Banaías, Maasias, y Matatías, Elifalu, Macenías, Obed-edom y Jehiel, los porteros.

19 and the singers, Heman, Asaph, and Ethan, with cymbals of brass to sound,

Ítem, Emán, Asaf, y Etán eran cantores, los cuales alzaban su voz con címbalos de metal.

20 and Zechariah, and Aziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jeheil, and Unni, and Eliab, and Maaseiah, and Benaiah, with psalteries besides virgins,

Y Zacarías, Oziel, Semiramot, Jahiel, Ani, Eliab, Maasias, y Banaías, con salterios sobre Alamot.

21 and Mattithiah, and Elipheleh, and Mikneiah, and Obed-Edom, and Jeiel, and Azaziah, with harps, on the octave, to oversee.

Ítem, Matatías, Elifalu, Macenías, Obed-edom, Jehiel, y Ozazías cantaban con arpas en la octava sobrepujando.

22 And Chenaniah, head of the Levites, [is] over the burden; he instructeth about the burden, for he [is] intelligent.

Y Conenías, príncipe de los Levitas, en la profecía, porque él presidía en la profecía, por cuanto era entendido.

23 And Berechiah and Elkanah [are] gatekeepers for the ark.

Y Baraquías y Elcana eran los porteros del arca.

24 And Shebaniah, and Joshaphat, and Nethaneel, and Amasai, and Zechariah, and Benaiah, and Eliezer the priests, are blowing with trumpets before the ark of God; and Obed-Edom and Jehiah [are] gatekeepers for the ark.

Ítem, Sebenías, Josafat, Natanael, Amasai, Zacarías, Banaías, y Eliezer, sacerdotes, tocaban las trompetas delante del arca de Dios: y Obed-edom, y Jahias eran porteros del arca.

25 And it is David, and the elders of Israel, and the heads of the thousands, who are going to bring up the ark of the covenant of Jehovah from the house of Obed-Edom with joy;

Y David, y los ancianos de Israel, y los capitanes de los millares fueron a traer el arca del concierto de Jehová de casa de Obed-edom con alegrías.

26 and it cometh to pass, in God's helping the Levites bearing the ark of the covenant of Jehovah, that they sacrifice seven bullocks and seven rams.

Y ayudando Dios a los Levitas que llevaban el arca del concierto de Jehová, sacrificaban siete novillos y siete carneros.

27 And David is wrapped in an upper robe of fine linen, and all the Levites who are bearing the ark, and the singers, and Chenaniah head of the burden of the singers; and on David [is] an Ephod of linen.

Y David iba vestido de lino fino, y también todos los Levitas que llevaban el arca, y asimismo los cantores: y Conenías era príncipe de la profecía de los cantores. Y David llevaba sobre sí un efod de lino.

28 And all Israel are bringing up the ark of the covenant of Jehovah with shouting, and with the sound of a cornet, and with trumpets, and with cymbals, sounding with psalteries and harps,

De esta manera todo Israel llevaban el arca del concierto de Jehová con júbilo, y sonido de bocinas, y de trompetas, y de címbalos, y salterios, y arpas, haciendo sonido.

29 and it cometh to pass, the ark of the covenant of Jehovah is entering in unto the city of David, and Michal daughter of Saul is looking through the window, and seeth king David dancing and playing, and despiseth him in her heart.

Y como el arca del concierto de Jehová llegó a la ciudad de David, Micol, hija de Saul, mirando por una ventana vio al rey David que saltaba y bailaba, y menosprecióle en su corazón.
