Zechariah 3
1 And the Lord schewide to me the greet prest Jhesu, stondynge bifore the aungel of the Lord; and Sathan stood on his riythalf, that he schulde be aduersarie to hym.
Il me fit voir Jésus, le grand prêtre, debout devant l’ange de Yahweh; et Satan se tenait à sa droite pour lui faire opposition.
2 And the Lord seide to Sathan, The Lord blame in thee, Sathan, and the Lord that chees Jerusalem, blame in thee. Whether this is not a deed broond rauyschid fro the fier?
Et Yahweh dit à Satan: « Que Yahweh te réprime, Satan, que Yahweh te réprime, lui qui a choisi Jérusalem! Celui-ci n’est-il pas un tison arraché du feu? »
3 And Jhesus was clothid with foule clothis, and stood bifor the face of the aungel.
Or Jésus était couvert d’habits sales et se tenait devant l’ange.
4 Which answeride, and seide to hem that stoden bifor hym, and he seide, Do ye awei foule clothis fro him. And he seide to hym, Lo! Y haue don awei fro thee thi wickidnesse, and Y haue clothid thee with chaungynge clothis.
Et l’ange prit la parole et parla à ceux qui se tenaient devant lui, en ces termes: « Otez-lui les vêtements sales. » Et il lui dit: « Vois, j’ai fait enlever de dessus toi ton iniquité, et je t’ai revêtu d’habits de fête. »
5 And he seide, Putte ye a clene mytre on his heed. And thei puttiden a cleene mytre on his heed, and clothide him with clothis. And the aungel of the Lord stood,
Et je dis: « Qu’ils lui mettent une tiare pure sur la tête. » Et ils posèrent la tiare pure sur sa tête, et le revêtirent d’habits; et l’ange de Yahweh se tenait debout.
6 and the aungel of the Lord witnesside to Jhesu,
Et l’ange de Yahweh fit à Jésus cette déclaration:
7 and seide, The Lord of oostis seith these thingis, If thou schalt go in my weies, and schalt kepe my kepynge, also and thou schalt deme myn hous, and schalt kepe my porchis; and Y schal yyue to thee goeris, of these that now here stonden niy.
Ainsi parle Yahweh des armées: Si tu marches dans mes voies, et si tu es fidèle à mon ministère, toi aussi tu gouverneras ma maison, et tu garderas mes parvis; et je te donnerai libre accès parmi ceux qui se tiennent ici.
8 Here thou, Jhesu, greet preest, thou and thi frendis that dwellen bifore thee, for thei ben men signefiynge thing to comyng. Lo! sotheli Y schal brynge my seruaunt spryngynge up, ether Crist borun.
Écoute donc, Jésus, grand prêtre, toi et tes collègues qui siègent devant toi: — car ce sont des hommes de présage; — Voici que je vais faire venir mon serviteur Germe.
9 For lo! the stoon which Y yaf bifor Jhesu, on o stoon ben seuene iyen; and lo! Y schal graue the grauyng therof, seith the Lord of oostis, and Y schal do a wei the wickidnesse of that lond in o dai.
Car voici la pierre que j’ai placée devant Jésus; sur cette unique pierre il y a sept yeux; voici que je vais sculpter sa sculpture, — oracle de Yahweh des armées, et j’enlèverai l’iniquité de ce pays en un seul jour!
10 In that dai, seith the Lord of oostis, a man schal clepe his frend vndur a vyn tre, and vndur a fige tre.
En ce jour-là, — oracle de Yahweh des armées, vous vous inviterez les uns les autres, sous la vigne et sous le figuier.
