Revelation 14
1 And Y sai, and lo! lomb stood on the mount of Sion, and with hym an hundrid thousynde and foure and fourti thousynde, hauynge his name, and the name of his fadir writun in her forhedis.
Et je regardai, et je vis l'agneau debout sur le mont Sion, et avec lui cent quarante-quatre mille personnes qui avaient son nom et le nom de son Père écrits sur leurs fronts.
2 And Y herde a vois fro heuene, as the vois of many watris, and as the vois of a greet thundur; and the vois which is herd, was as of many harperis harpinge in her harpis.
Et j'entendis une voix venant du ciel; c'était comme le bruit des grandes eaux et comme le bruit d'un fort coup de tonnerre; et la voix que j'entendais était aussi comme le son des harpes quand elles sont jouées par des harpistes.
3 And thei sungun as a newe song bifor the seete of God, and bifore the foure beestis, and senyouris. And no man miyte seie the song, but thei an hundrid thousynde and foure and fourti thousynde, that ben bouyt fro the erthe.
Et la voix chantait un cantique nouveau devant le trône et devant les quatre animaux, et devant les vieillards. Et personne ne pouvait apprendre ce cantique, si ce n'est les cent quarante-quatre mille rachetés de la terre.
4 These it ben, that ben not defoulid with wymmen; for thei ben virgyns. These suen the lomb, whidir euer he schal go; these ben bouyt of alle men, the firste fruytis to God, and to the lomb;
Ceux-là ne se sont point souillés avec des femmes; car ils sont vierges; ceux-là suivent l'agneau partout où il les conduit; ceux-là ont été rachetés d'entre les hommes comme des prémices consacrées
5 and in the mouth of hem lesyng is not foundun; for thei ben with out wem bifor the trone of God.
à Dieu et à l'agneau; et dans leur bouche il ne s'est point trouvé de mensonge; car ils sont sans taches.
6 And Y say another aungel, fliynge bi the myddil of heuene, hauynge an euerlastinge gospel, that he schulde preche to men sittynge on erthe, and on ech folk, and lynage, and langage, and puple; (aiōnios g166)
Et je vis un autre ange qui volait au zénith, tenant l'Évangile éternel pour l'annoncer à tous ceux qui habitaient la terre, et à toute race, tribu, langue et peuple. (aiōnios g166)
7 and seide with a greet vois, Drede ye the Lord, and yyue ye to hym onour, for the our of his dom cometh; and worschipe ye hym, that made heuene and erthe, the see, and alle thingis that ben in hem, and the wellis of watris.
Il disait d'une voix éclatante: «Craignez Dieu, et rendez-lui gloire, car l'heure de son jugement est venue, et adorez Celui qui a fait le ciel, et la terre, et la mer, et les sources d'eaux.
8 And anothir aungel suede, seiynge, Thilke greet Babiloyne fel doun, fel doun, which yaf drinke to alle folkis of the wyn of wraththe of her fornycacioun.
Et un autre ange encore, un second, le suivit, disant: «Elle est tombée, elle est tombée la grande Babylone» qui a enivré toutes les nations du vin de feu de sa fornication.»
9 And the thridde aungel suede hem, and seide with a greet vois, If ony man worschipe the beeste, and the ymage of it, and takith the carecter in his forheed, ether in his hoond,
Et un autre ange encore, un troisième, le suivit, disant d'une voix éclatante: «Celui qui adorera la bête et son image, qui prendra le signe» de la bête sur son front ou sur sa main,
10 this schal drynke of the wyn of Goddis wraththe, that is meynd with clere wyn in the cuppe of his wraththe, and schal be turmentid with fier and brymston, in the siyt of hooli aungels, and bifore the siyt of the lomb.
boira du vin brûlant de Dieu, du vin pur apprêté dans la coupe de sa colère, et il sera tourmenté dans le feu et le soufre devant les saints anges et devant l'agneau;
11 And the smoke of her turmentis schal stie vp in to the worldis of worldis; nether thei han reste dai and niyt, whiche worschipiden the beeste and his ymage, and yf ony man take the carect of his name. (aiōn g165)
et la fumée de leur tourment monte aux siècles des siècles, et ils n'ont de repos ni jour ni nuit, ceux qui adorent la bête et son image, et qui prennent sur eux le signe» de son nom! (aiōn g165)
12 Here is the pacience of seyntis, whiche kepen the maundementis of God, and the feith of Jhesu.
C'est ici que se montre la patience des saints qui gardent les commandements de Dieu et la foi de Jésus!
13 And Y herde a vois fro heuene, seiynge to me, Write thou, Blessid ben deed men, that dien in the Lord; fro hennus forth now the spirit seith, that thei reste of her traueilis; for the werkis of hem suen hem.
Et j'entendis une voix venant du ciel qui disait: «Écris: Heureux dès à présent les morts qui meurent dans le Seigneur!» —«Oui, dit l'Esprit, c'est pour qu'ils se reposent de leurs travaux; car leurs oeuvres les suivent.»
14 And Y say, and lo! a white cloude, and aboue the cloude a sittere, lijk the sone of man, hauynge in his heed a goldun coroun, and in his hond a scharp sikil.
Et je regardai et voici, un nuage blanc, et sur ce nuage était assis «comme un fils de l'homme» ayant sur la tête une couronne d'or et dans la main une faux aiguë.
15 And another aungel wente out of the temple, and criede with greet vois to hym that sat on the cloude, Sende thi sikil, and repe, for the our cometh, that it be ropun; for the corn of the erthe is ripe.
Et un autre ange sortit du Temple criant d'une voix éclatante à celui qui était assis sur le nuage: «Lance ta faux et moissonne, car l'heure est venue de moissonner; la moisson de la terre est mûre!»
16 And he that sat on the cloude, sente his sikil in to the erthe, and rap the erthe.
Alors celui qui était assis sur le nuage lança sa faux sur la terre, et la terre fut moissonnée.
17 And another aungel wente out of the temple, that is in heuene, and he also hadde a scharp sikile.
Et un autre ange sortit du Temple qui est dans le ciel, tenant lui aussi, une faux aiguë.
18 And another aungel wente out fro the auter, that hadde power on fier and water; and he criede with a greet vois to hym that hadde the scharp sikil, and seide, Sende thi scharp sikil, and kitte awei the clustris of the vynyerd of the erthe, for the grapis of it ben ripe.
Et un autre ange sortit de l'autel, il avait pouvoir sur le feu, et il appela d'une voix éclatante celui qui tenait la faux aiguë et lui dit: «Lance ta faux aiguë et vendange les grappes de la vigne de la terre, car ses raisins sont mûrs.»
19 And the aungel sente his sikil in to the erthe, and gaderide grapis of the vynyerd of the erthe, and sente into the greet lake of Goddis wraththe.
Et l'ange lança sa faux sur la terre, et il vendangea la vigne de la terre, et il jeta tout dans la grande cuve de la colère de Dieu.
20 And the lake was troddun without the citee, and the blood wente out of the lake til to the `bridels of horsis, bi furlongis a thousynd and six hundrid.
Et la cuve fut foulée aux pieds hors de la ville, et le sang qui sortit de la cuve monta jusqu'à la hauteur des freins des chevaux, sur un espace de seize cents stades.
