Revelation 11
1 And a reed lijk a yerde was youun to me, and it was seid to me, Rise thou, and meete the temple of God, and the auter, and men that worschipen in it.
Et on me donna une mesure de la forme d'un bâton et on me dit: «Lève-toi et mesure le Temple de Dieu, et l'autel, et l'espace occupé par ceux qui adorent dans le Temple.
2 But caste thou out the foryerd, that is with out the temple, and mete not it; for it is youun to hethene men, and thei schulen defoule the hooli citee bi fourti monethis and tweyne.
Et la cour extérieure du Temple, n'en tiens pas compte, et ne la mesure point, car elle a été donnée aux païens, et ils fouleront aux pieds la ville sainte pendant quarante-deux mois.
3 And Y schal yyue `to my twey witnessis, and thei schulen prophesie a thousynde daies two hundrid and sixti, and schulen be clothid with sackis.
Et je donnerai une mission à mes deux témoins qui prophétiseront pendant douze cent soixante jours, revêtus de sac.»
4 These ben tweyne olyues, and twei candilstikis, and thei stonden in the siyt of the Lord of the erthe.
Ils sont «les deux oliviers» et les deux chandeliers «debout devant le Seigneur de la terre»;
5 And if ony man wole anoye hem, fier schal go out of the mouth of hem, and schal deuoure her enemyes. And if ony wole hirte hem, thus it bihoueth hym to be slayn.
et si quelqu'un essaye de leur faire du mal, un feu sort de leur bouche et dévore leurs ennemis; oui, si quelqu'un essaye de leur faire du mal, c'est ainsi qu'il doit périr.
6 These han power to close heuene, that it reyne not in the daies of her prophesie; and thei han power on watris, to turne hem in to blood; and to smyte the erthe with euery plage, and as ofte as thei wolen.
Ils ont le pouvoir de fermer le ciel, et d'empêcher la pluie de tomber les jours où ils prophétisent; et ils ont le pouvoir de changer l'eau en sang, et de frapper la terre de telle ou telle plaie et aussi souvent qu'ils le voudront.
7 And whanne thei schulen ende her witnessing, the beeste that stieth vp fro depnesse, schal make batel ayens hem, and schal ouercome hem, and schal sle hem. (Abyssos g12)
Et quand ils auront fini de rendre leur témoignage, la bête qui monte de l'abîme leur fera la guerre, les vaincra et les tuera; (Abyssos g12)
8 And the bodies of hem schulen ligge in the stretis of the greet citee, that is clepid goostli Sodom, and Egipt, where the Lord of hem was crucified.
et leurs corps resteront sur la place de la grande ville qui s'appelle symboliquement «Sodome», et «Égypte» et où leur Seigneur a été crucifié.
9 And summe of lynagis, and of puplis, and of langagis, and of hethene men, schulen se the bodies of hem bi thre daies and an half; and thei schulen not suffre the bodies of hem to be put in biriels.
Et des gens de tout peuple, de toute tribu, de toute langue et de toute race verront leurs corps pendant trois jours et demi, et ils ne permettront pas qu'on donne à ces corps la sépulture.
10 And men enhabitynge the erthe schulen haue ioye on hem; and thei schulen make myrie, and schulen sende yiftis togidere, for these twei prophetis turmentiden hem that dwellen on the erthe.
Et les habitants de la terre seront dans la joie de leur mort, ils s'adresseront des félicitations, et s'enverront des présents, parce que ces deux prophètes ont fait le tourment des habitants de la terre.
11 And aftir thre daies and an half, the spirit of lijf of God entride in to hem; and thei stoden on her feet, and greet dreed felle on hem that sayn hem.
Mais, au bout de trois jours et demi, l'Esprit de vie venu de Dieu entra en eux, ils se retrouvèrent sur leurs pieds, et une grande terreur saisit ceux qui les virent.
12 And thei herden a greet vois fro heuene, seiynge to hem, Come vp hidir. And thei stieden in to heuene in a cloude, and the enemyes of hem sayn hem.
Et j'entendis une grande voix venant du ciel et leur disant: «Montez ici»; et ils montèrent au ciel sur les nues, à la vue de leurs ennemis.
13 And in that our a greet erthe mouyng was maad, and the tenthe part of the citee felle doun; and the names of men seuene thousynde weren slayn in the erthe mouyng; and the tother weren sent in to drede, and yauen glorie to God of heuene.
Un terrible tremblement de terre se fit en ce moment, et le dixième de la ville tomba, et sept mille hommes périrent dans ce tremblement, et les autres, effrayés, rendirent gloire au Dieu du ciel.
14 The secounde wo is gon, and lo! the thridde wo schal come soone.
Le second «malheur» est passé; voici venir bientôt le troisième.
15 And the seuenthe aungel trumpide, and grete voicis weren maad in heuene, and seiden, The rewme of this world is maad `oure Lordis, and of Crist, his sone; and he schal regne in to worldis of worldis. (aiōn g165)
Et le septième ange sonna: et il y eut de grandes voix dans le ciel qui disaient: «Le Royaume du monde est remis à notre Seigneur et à son Christ, et il régnera aux siècles des siècles.» (aiōn g165)
16 Amen. And the foure and twenti eldre men, that saten in her seetis in the siyt of the Lord, fellen on her faces, and worschipiden God,
Et les vingt-quatre vieillards, assis devant Dieu sur leurs trônes, tombèrent sur la face et adorèrent Dieu,
17 and seiden, We don thankyngis to thee, Lord God almyyti, which art, and which were, and which art to comynge; which hast takun thi greet vertu, and hast regned.
disant: «Nous te rendons grâces «Seigneur Dieu Tout-Puissant», qui es et qui as été, de ce que tu t'es emparé de ton grand pouvoir et as inauguré ta Royauté;
18 And folkis ben wrooth, and thi wraththe cam, and tyme of dede men to be demyd, and to yelde mede to thi seruauntis, and prophetis, and halewis, and dredynge thi name, to smale and to grete, and to distrie hem that corrumpiden the erthe.
et les nations étaient en fureur, mais ta colère est venue; et il est venu le moment de juger les morts et de donner leur récompense à tes serviteurs; , les prophètes, et aux saints, et à ceux qui craignent ton nom, aux petits et aux grands, et de perdre ceux qui perdent la terre.»
19 And the temple of God in heuene was openyd, and the arke of his testament was seyn in his temple; and leityngis weren maad, and voices, and thondris, and `erthe mouyng, and greet hail.
Alors s'ouvrit le Temple de Dieu dans le ciel, et on aperçut l'arche de l'Alliance dans son Temple, et il y eut des éclairs et des voix, et des coups de tonnerre, et un grand ébranlement, et une forte grêle.
