Psalms 83
1 The song of the salm of Asaph. God, who schal be lijk thee? God, be thou not stille, nether be thou peesid.
Ne bodi tiho, oh Bog. Ne molči in ne bodi molčeč, oh Bog.
2 For lo! thin enemyes sowneden; and thei that haten thee reisiden the heed.
Kajti glej, tvoji sovražniki pripravljajo upor in tisti, ki te sovražijo, so povzdignili glavo.
3 Thei maden a wickid counsel on thi puple; and thei thouyten ayens thi seyntis.
Zoper tvoje ljudstvo so sprejeli prebrisan nasvet in se posvetovali zoper tvoje skrite.
4 Thei seiden, Come ye, and leese we hem fro the folk; and the name of Israel be no more hadde in mynde.
Rekli so: »Pridimo in odrežimo jih od tega, da so narod, da Izraelovo ime ne bo več v spominu.«
5 For thei thouyten with oon acord;
Kajti skupaj so se soglasno posvetovali, združeni so zoper tebe:
6 the tabernaclis of Ydumeys, and men of Ismael disposiden a testament togidere ayens thee. Moab, and Agarenus, Jebal, and Amon, and Amalech;
Edómova šotorska svetišča in Izmaelci; Moábovci in Hagárovci;
7 alienys with hem that dwellen in Tyre.
Gebál, Amón in Amálek; Filistejci s prebivalci Tira;
8 For Assur cometh with hem; thei ben maad in to help to the sones of Loth.
pridružen jim je tudi Asúr. Pomagali so Lotovim sinovom. (Sela)
9 Make thou to hem as to Madian, and Sisara; as to Jabyn in the stronde of Sison.
Stôri jim kakor Midjáncem, kakor Siseráju, kakor Jabínu pri potoku Kišón,
10 Thei perischiden in Endor; thei weren maad as a toord of erthe.
ki so bili pokončani pri En Doru. Postali so kakor gnoj za zemljo.
11 Putte thou the prynces of hem as Oreb and Zeb; and Zebee and Salmana. Alle the princis of hem, that seiden;
Naredite njihove plemiče kakor Oréba in kakor Zeéba. Da, vse njihove prince kot Zebaha in kot Calmunája,
12 Holde we bi eritage the seyntuarie of God.
ki so rekli: »Vzemimo si Božje hiše v posest.«
13 My God, putte thou hem as a whele; and as stobil bifor the face of the wynde.
Oh moj Bog, naredi jih kot pleve, kakor strnišče pred vetrom.
14 As fier that brenneth a wode; and as flawme brynnynge hillis.
Kakor ogenj požiga gozd in kakor plamen zažiga gore,
15 So thou schalt pursue hem in thi tempeste; and thou schalt disturble hem in thin ire.
tako jih preganjaj s svojim neurjem in s svojim viharjem jih naredi prestrašene.
16 Lord, fille thou the faces of hem with schenschipe; and thei schulen seke thi name.
Njihove obraze napolni s sramoto, da bodo lahko iskali tvoje ime, oh Gospod.
17 Be thei aschamed, and be thei disturblid in to world of world; and be thei schent and perische thei.
Naj bodo zasramovani in zbegani na veke; da, naj bodo osramočeni in [naj] se pogubijo,
18 And knowe thei, that the Lord is name to thee; thou aloone art the hiyeste in ech lond.
da bodo ljudje lahko vedeli, da si ti, čigar ime samó je Jahve, najvišji nad vso zemljo.
