Psalms 82

1 Of Asaph. God stood in the synagoge of goddis; forsothe he demeth goddis in the myddil.

Psalm Asafa. Bóg stoi w zgromadzeniu Bożym, pośród bogów sprawuje sąd:

2 Hou longe demen ye wickidnesse; and taken the faces of synneris?

Jak długo będziecie sądzić niesprawiedliwie i trzymać stronę niegodziwych? (Sela)

3 Deme ye to the nedi man, and to the modirles child; iustifie ye the meke man and pore.

Bierzcie w obronę ubogiego i sierotę, oddajcie sprawiedliwość strapionemu i potrzebującemu.

4 Raueische ye out a pore man; and delyuere ye the nedi man fro the hond of the synner.

Wyzwólcie biedaka i nędzarza, ocalcie go z ręki niegodziwych.

5 Thei knewen not, nether vndirstoden, thei goen in derknessis; alle the foundementis of erthe schulen be moued.

[Lecz oni] nic nie wiedzą i nie rozumieją, ciągle chodzą w ciemności; zachwiały się wszystkie fundamenty ziemi.

6 I seide, Ye ben goddis; and alle ye ben the sones of hiy God.

Powiedziałem: Jesteście bogami i wszyscy wy jesteście synami Najwyższego.

7 But ye schulen die as men; and ye schulen falle doun as oon of the princis.

Lecz pomrzecie jak [inni] ludzie i upadniecie jak jeden z książąt.

8 Ryse, thou God, deme thou the erthe; for thou schalt haue eritage in alle folkis.

Powstań, Boże, osądź ziemię, bo ty otrzymasz w dziedzictwo wszystkie narody.
