Psalms 140
1 To victorie, the salm of Dauith. Lord, delyuere thou me fro an yuel man; delyuere thou me fro a wickid man.
ऐ ख़ुदावन्द! मुझे बुरे आदमी से रिहाई बख़्श; मुझे टेढ़े आदमी से महफूज़ रख।
2 Whiche thouyten wickidnesses in the herte; al dai thei ordeyneden batels.
जो दिल में शरारत के मन्सूबे बाँधते हैं; वह हमेशा मिलकर जंग के लिए जमा' हो जाते हैं।
3 Thei scharpiden her tungis as serpentis; the venym of snakis vndir the lippis of hem.
उन्होंने अपनी ज़बान साँप की तरह तेज़ कर रखी है। उनके होटों के नीचे अज़दहा का ज़हर है।
4 Lord, kepe thou me fro the hond of the synnere; and delyuere thou me fro wickid men. Which thouyten to disseyue my goyngis;
ऐ ख़ुदावन्द! मुझे शरीर के हाथ से बचा मुझे टेढ़े आदमी से महफूज़ रख, जिनका इरादा है कि मेरे पाँव उखाड़ दें।
5 proude men hidden a snare to me. And thei leiden forth cordis in to a snare; thei settiden sclaundir to me bisidis the weie.
मग़रूरों ने मेरे लिए फंदे और रस्सियों को छिपाया है, उन्होंने राह के किनारे जाल लगाया है; उन्होंने मेरे लिए दाम बिछा रख्खे हैं। (सिलाह)
6 I seide to the Lord, Thou art mi God; Lord, here thou the vois of my biseching.
मैंने ख़ुदावन्द से कहा, मेरा ख़ुदा तू ही है। ऐ ख़ुदावन्द, मेरी इल्तिजा की आवाज़ पर कान लगा।
7 Lord, Lord, the vertu of myn heelthe; thou madist schadowe on myn heed in the dai of batel.
ऐ ख़ुदावन्द मेरे मालिक, ऐ मेरी नजात की ताक़त, तूने जंग के दिन मेरे सिर पर साया किया है।
8 Lord, bitake thou not me fro my desire to the synnere; thei thouyten ayens me, forsake thou not me, lest perauenture thei ben enhaunsid.
ऐ ख़ुदावन्द, शरीर की मुराद पूरी न कर, उसके बुरे मन्सूबे को अंजाम न दे ताकि वह डींग न मारे। (सिलाह)
9 The heed of the cumpas of hem; the trauel of her lippis schal hile hem.
मुझे घेरने वालों की मुँह के शरारत, उन्हीं के सिर पर पड़े।
10 Colis schulen falle on hem, thou schalt caste hem doun in to fier; in wretchidnessis thei schulen not stonde.
उन पर अंगारे गिरें! वह आग में डाले जाएँ! और ऐसे गढ़ों में कि फिर न उठे।
11 A man a greet ianglere schal not be dressid in erthe; yuels schulen take an vniust man in perisching.
बदज़बान आदमी की ज़मीन पर क़याम न होगा। आफ़त टेढ़े आदमी को दौड़ा कर हलाक करेगी।
12 I haue knowe, that the Lord schal make dom of a nedi man; and the veniaunce of pore men.
मैं जानता हूँ कि ख़ुदावन्द मुसीब तज़दा के मु'आमिले की, और मोहताज के हक़ की ताईद करेगा।
13 Netheles iust men schulen knouleche to thi name; and riytful men schulen dwelle with thi cheer.
यक़ीनन सादिक़ तेरे नाम का शुक्र करेंगे, और रास्तबाज़ तेरे सामने में रहेंगे।
