Psalms 137

1 On the floodis of Babiloyne there we saten, and wepten; while we bithouyten on Syon.

૧અમે બાબિલની નદીઓને કિનારે બેઠા અને અમને સિયોનનું સ્મરણ થઈ આવ્યું, ત્યારે અમે રડ્યા.

2 In salewis in the myddil therof; we hangiden vp oure orguns.

૨ત્યાંનાં વૃક્ષો પર અમે અમારી સિતારો લટકાવી દીધી.

3 For thei that ledden vs prisoners; axiden vs there the wordis of songis. And thei that ledden awei vs seiden; Synge ye to vs an ympne of the songis of Syon.

૩અમને બંદીવાસમાં લઈ જનારાંઓએ અમને આનંદી ગીતો ગાવા કહ્યું, જેઓએ અમારી મશ્કરી કરી હતી તેઓએ અમને ખુશ કરવા જણાવ્યું કે, “સિયોનનાં ગીતોમાંનું કોઈ એક ગીત ગાઓ.”

4 Hou schulen we singe a songe of the Lord; in an alien lond?

૪પણ આ વિદેશી ભૂમિ પર અમે યહોવાહનાં ગીતો કેવી રીતે ગાઈ શકીએ?

5 If Y foryete thee, Jerusalem; my riyt hond be youun to foryeting.

૫હે યરુશાલેમ, જો હું તને ભૂલી જાઉં, તો મારો જમણો હાથ પોતાનું કર્તવ્ય વીસરી જાય.

6 Mi tunge cleue to my chekis; if Y bithenke not on thee. If Y purposide not of thee, Jerusalem; in the bigynnyng of my gladnesse.

૬જો હું તારા વિષે વિચાર ન કરું, મારા મુખ્ય આનંદ કરતાં જો હું યરુશાલેમને શ્રેષ્ઠ ન માનતો હોઉં, તો મારી જીભ મારા તાળવાને ચોંટી જાય.

7 Lord, haue thou mynde on the sones of Edom; for the dai of Jerusalem. Whiche seien, Anyntische ye, anyntische ye; `til to the foundement ther ynne.

૭હે યહોવાહ, અદોમીઓએ જે કર્યું તે સંભારો, કેમ કે તેઓએ કહ્યું કે, યરુશાલેમને પાડી નાખો, તેઓએ કહ્યું, “તેના પાયાઓને, ઉખેડી નાખો, ઉખેડી નાખો.”

8 Thou wretchid douyter of Babiloyne; he is blessid, that `schal yelde to thee thi yelding, which thou yeldidist to vs.

૮હે નાશ પામનારી બાબિલની દીકરી, તેં જે વર્તન અમારી સાથે ચલાવ્યું છે તેવું જ વર્તન જે કોઈ તારી સાથે કરે તે આશીર્વાદિત છે.

9 He is blessid, that schal holde; and hurtle doun hise litle children at a stoon.

૯જે કોઈ તારાં નાના બાળકોને ખડક પર પછાડે તે આશીર્વાદિત છે.
