Psalms 111

1 Alleluya. Lord, Y schal knouleche to thee in al myn herte; in the counsel and congregacioun of iust men.

Hvalíte Gospoda. Hvalil bom Gospoda z vsem svojim celotnim srcem, v zboru poštenih in v skupnosti.

2 The werkis of the Lord ben greete; souyt out in to alle hise willis.

Gospodova dela so velika, preiskovana od vseh tistih, ki imajo veselje v tem.

3 His werk is knoulechyng and grete doyng; and his riytfulnesse dwellith in to the world of world.

Njegovo delo je častitljivo in veličastno, in njegova pravičnost traja večno.

4 The Lord merciful in wille, and a merciful doere, hath maad a mynde of hise merueilis;

Storil je svoja čudovita dela, da se ne pozabijo. Gospod je milostljiv in poln sočutja.

5 he hath youe meete to men dredynge hym. He schal be myndeful of his testament in to the world;

Dal je hrano tistim, ki se ga bojijo; vedno se bo zavedal svoje zaveze.

6 he schal telle to his puple the vertu of hise werkis.

Svojemu ljudstvu je pokazal moč svojih del, da jim lahko da dediščino poganov.

7 That he yyue to hem the eritage of folkis; the werkis of hise hondis ben treuthe and doom.

Dela njegovih rok so resnica in sodba; vse njegove zapovedi so zanesljive.

8 Alle hise comaundementis ben feithful, confermed in to the world of world; maad in treuthe and equite.

Trdno stojijo na veke vekov, narejene so v resnici in poštenosti.

9 The Lord sente redempcioun to hys puple; he comaundide his testament with outen ende. His name is hooli and dreedful;

Svojemu ljudstvu je poslal odkupitev, na veke je zapovedal svojo zavezo. Sveto in spoštovano je njegovo ime.

10 the bigynnyng of wisdom is the drede of the Lord. Good vndirstondyng is to alle that doen it; his preising dwellith in to the world of world.

Strah Gospodov je začetek modrosti. Dobro razumevanje imajo vsi tisti, ki izpolnjujejo njegove zapovedi. Njegova hvala traja večno.
