Psalms 110

1 `The salm of Dauith. The Lord seide to my Lord; Sitte thou on my riyt side. Til Y putte thin enemyes; a stool of thi feet.

Psaume de David. Yahweh a dit à mon Seigneur: « Assieds-toi à ma droite, jusqu’à ce que je fasse de tes ennemis l’escabeau de tes pieds. »

2 The Lord schal sende out fro Syon the yerde of thi vertu; be thou lord in the myddis of thin enemyes.

Yahweh étendra de Sion le sceptre de ta puissance: Règne en maître au milieu de tes ennemis!

3 The bigynnyng is with thee in the dai of thi vertu, in the briytnessis of seyntis; Y gendride thee of the wombe before the dai sterre.

Ton peuple accourt à toi au jour où tu rassembles ton armée, avec des ornements sacrés; du sein de l’aurore vient à toi la rosée de tes jeunes guerriers.

4 The Lord swoor, and it schal not repente him; Thou art a preest with outen ende, bi the ordre of Melchisedech.

Le Seigneur l’a juré, il ne s’en repentira point: « Tu es prêtre pour toujours à la manière de Melchisédech. »

5 The Lord on thi riyt side; hath broke kyngis in the dai of his veniaunce.

Le Seigneur, est à droite, Il brisera les rois au jour de sa colère.

6 He schal deme among naciouns, he schal fille fallyngis; he schal schake heedis in the lond of many men.

Il exerce son jugement parmi les nations: tout est rempli de cadavres; il brise les têtes de la terre entière.

7 He dranke of the stronde in the weie; therfor he enhaunside the heed.

Il boit au torrent sur le chemin, c’est pourquoi il relève la tête.
