Matthew 11
1 And it was doon, whanne Jhesus hadde endid, he comaundide to hise twelue disciplis, and passide fro thennus to teche and preche in the citees of hem.
जब ईसा अपने बारह शागिर्दों को हुक्म दे चुका, तो ऐसा हुआ कि वहाँ से चला गया ताकि उनके शहरों में ता'लीम दे और एलान करे।
2 But whanne Joon in boondis hadde herd the werkis of Crist, he sente tweyne of hise disciplis,
यूहन्ना बपतिस्मा देने वाले ने क़ैदख़ाने में मसीह के कामों का हाल सुनकर अपने शागिर्दों के ज़रिए उससे पुछवा भेजा।
3 and seide to him, `Art thou he that schal come, or we abiden another?
“आने वाला तू ही है या हम दूसरे की राह देखें?”
4 And Jhesus answeride, and seide `to hem, Go ye, and telle ayen to Joon tho thingis that ye han herd and seyn.
ईसा ने जवाब में उनसे कहा, “जो कुछ तुम सुनते हो और देखते हो जाकर यूहन्ना से बयान कर दो।
5 Blynde men seen, crokid men goon, meselis ben maad clene, deefe men heren, deed men rysen ayen, pore men ben takun to `prechyng of the gospel.
कि अन्धे देखते और लंगड़े चलते फिरते हैं; कौढ़ी पाक साफ़ किए जाते हैं और बहरे सुनते हैं और मुर्दे ज़िन्दा किए जाते हैं और ग़रीबों को ख़ुशख़बरी सुनाई जाती है।
6 And he is blessid, that shal not be sclaundrid in me.
और मुबारिक़ वो है जो मेरी वजह से ठोकर न खाए।”
7 And whanne thei weren goon awei, Jhesus bigan to seie of Joon to the puple, What thing wenten ye out in to desert to se? a reed wawed with the wynd?
जब वो रवाना हो लिए तो ईसा ने यूहन्ना के बारे में लोगों से कहना शुरू किया कि “तुम वीराने में क्या देखने गए थे? क्या हवा से हिलते हुए सरकंडे को?
8 Or what thing wenten ye out to see? a man clothid with softe clothis? Lo! thei that ben clothid with softe clothis ben in the housis of kyngis.
तो फिर क्या देखने गए थे क्या महीन कपड़े पहने हुए शख़्स को? देखो जो महीन कपड़े पहनते हैं वो बादशाहों के घरों में होते हैं।
9 But what thing wenten ye out to se? a prophete? Yhe, Y seie to you, and more than a prophete.
तो फिर क्यूँ गए थे? क्या एक नबी को देखने? हाँ मैं तुम से कहता हूँ बल्कि नबी से बड़े को।
10 For this is he, of whom it is writun, Lo! Y sende myn aungel bifor thi face, that shal make redi thi weye bifor thee.
ये वही है जिसके बारे में लिखा है कि देख मैं अपना पैग़म्बर तेरे आगे भेजता हूँ जो तेरा रास्ता तेरे आगे तैयार करेगा”
11 Treuli Y seie to you, ther roos noon more than Joon Baptist among the children of wymmen; but he that is lesse in the kyngdom of heuenes, is more than he.
“मैं तुम से सच कहता हूँ; जो औरतों से पैदा हुए हैं, उन में यूहन्ना बपतिस्मा देने वाले से बड़ा कोई नहीं हुआ, लेकिन जो आसमान की बादशाही में छोटा है वो उस से बड़ा है।
12 And fro the daies of Joon Baptist til now the kyngdom of heuenes suffrith violence, and violent men rauyschen it.
और यूहन्ना बपतिस्मा देने वाले के दिनों से अब तक आसमान की बादशाही पर ज़ोर होता रहा है; और ताक़तवर उसे छीन लेते हैं।
13 For alle prophetis and the lawe `til to Joon prophecieden; and if ye wolen resseyue,
क्यूँकि सब नबियों और तौरेत ने यूहन्ना तक नबुव्वत की।
14 he is Elie that is to come.
और चाहो तो मानो; एलियाह जो आनेवाला था; यही है।
15 He that hath eris of heryng, here he.
जिसके सुनने के कान हों वो सुन ले!”
16 But to whom schal Y gesse this generacioun lijk? It is lijk to children sittynge in chepyng, that crien to her peeris,
“पस इस ज़माने के लोगों को मैं किस की मिसाल दूँ? वो उन लड़कों की तरह हैं, जो बाज़ारों में बैठे हुए अपने साथियों को पुकार कर कहते हैं।
17 and seien, We han songun to you, and ye han not daunsid; we han morned to you, and ye han not weilid.
हम ने तुम्हारे लिए बाँसुरी बजाईऔर तुम न नाचे। हम ने मातम किया और तुम ने छाती न पीटी।
18 For Joon cam nether etynge ne drynkynge, and thei seien, He hath a deuel.
क्यूँकि यूहन्ना न खाता आया न पीता और वो कहते हैं उस में बदरूह है।
19 The sone of man cam etynge and drynkynge, and thei seien, Lo! a man a glotoun, and a drinkere of wijne, and a freend of pupplicans and of synful men. And wisdom is iustified of her sones.
इब्न — ए — आदम खाता पीता आया। और वो कहते हैं, देखो खाऊ और शराबी आदमी महसूल लेने वालों और गुनाहगारों का यार। मगर हिक्मत अपने कामों से रास्त साबित हुई है।”
20 Thanne Jhesus bigan to seye repreef to citees, in whiche ful manye vertues of him weren doon, for thei diden not penaunce.
वो उस वक़्त उन शहरों को मलामत करने लगा जिनमें उसके अकसर मोजिज़े ज़ाहिर हुए थे; क्यूँकि उन्होंने तौबा न की थी।
21 Wo to thee! Corosaym, woo to thee! Bethsaida; for if the vertues that ben doon in you hadden be doon in Tyre and Sidon, sumtyme thei hadden don penaunce in heyre and aische.
“ऐ ख़ुराज़ीन, तुझ पर अफ़्सोस! ऐ बैत — सैदा, तुझ पर अफ़्सोस! क्यूँकि जो मोजिज़े तुम में हुए अगर सूर और सैदा में होते तो वो टाट ओढ़ कर और ख़ाक में बैठ कर कब के तौबा कर लेते।
22 Netheles Y seie to you, it schal be lesse peyne to Tire and Sidon in the dai of doom, than to you.
मैं तुम से सच कहता हूँ; कि 'अदालत के दिन सूर और सैदा का हाल तुम्हारे हाल से ज़्यादा बर्दाश्त के लायक़ होगा।
23 And thou, Cafarnaum, whethir thou schalt be arerid vp in to heuene? Thou shalt go doun in to helle. For if the vertues that ben don in thee, hadden be don in Sodom, perauenture thei schulden haue dwellid `in to this dai. (Hadēs g86)
और ऐ कफ़रनहूम, क्या तू आस्मान तक बुलन्द किया जाएगा? तू तो आलम — ए अर्वाह में उतरेगा क्यूँकि जो मोजिज़े तुम में ज़ाहिर हुए अगर सदूम में होते तो आज तक क़ाईम रहता। (Hadēs g86)
24 Netheles Y seie to you, that to the lond of Sodom it schal be `lesse peyne in the dai of doom, than to thee.
मगर मैं तुम से कहता हूँ कि 'अदालत के दिन सदूम के इलाक़े का हाल तेरे हाल से ज़्यादा बर्दाश्त के लायक़ होगा।”
25 In thilke tyme Jhesus answeride, and seide, Y knowleche to thee, fadir, lord of heuene and of erthe, for thou hast hid these thingis fro wijse men, and redi, and hast schewid hem to litle children;
उस वक़्त ईसा ने कहा, “ऐ बाप, आस्मान — ओ — ज़मीन के ख़ुदावन्द मैं तेरी हम्द करता हूँ कि तू ने यह बातें समझदारों और अक़लमन्दों से छिपाईं और बच्चों पर ज़ाहिर कीं।
26 so, fadir, for so it was plesynge tofore thee.
हाँ ऐ बाप!, क्यूँकि ऐसा ही तुझे पसन्द आया।”
27 Alle thingis ben youune to me of my fadir; and no man knewe the sone, but the fadir, nethir ony man knewe the fadir, but the sone, and to whom the sone wolde schewe.
“मेरे बाप की तरफ़ से सब कुछ मुझे सौंपा गया और कोई बेटे को नहीं जानता सिवा बाप के और कोई बाप को नहीं जानता सिवा बेटे के और उसके जिस पर बेटा उसे ज़ाहिर करना चाहे।”
28 Alle ye that traueilen, and ben chargid, come to me, and Y schal fulfille you.
“ऐ मेहनत उठाने वालो और बोझ से दबे हुए लोगो, सब मेरे पास आओ! मैं तुम को आराम दूँगा।
29 Take ye my yok on you, and lerne ye of me, for Y am mylde and meke in herte; and ye schulen fynde reste to youre soulis.
मेरा जूआ अपने ऊपर उठा लो और मुझ से सीखो, क्यूँकि मैं हलीम हूँ और दिल का फ़िरोतन तो तुम्हारी जानें आराम पाएँगी,
30 `For my yok is softe, and my charge liyt.
क्यूँकि मेरा जूआ मुलायम है और मेरा बोझ हल्का।”
