< Luke 17 >

1 And Jhesu seide to hise disciplis, It is impossible that sclaundris come not; but wo to that man, bi whom thei comen.
He said then to the disciples (of Him; *no) Impossible it is that the stumbling blocks not to come, (but *N+kO) woe [to him] through whom they come!
2 It is more profitable to him, if a mylne stoon be put aboute his necke, and he be cast in to the see, than that he sclaundre oon of these litle.
It is better for him if (a stone of a mill *N+kO) is hung around the neck of him and he has been thrown into the sea than that he may cause to stumble little [ones] of these one.
3 Take ye hede you silf; if thi brothir hath synned ayens thee, blame hym; and if he do penaunce, foryyue hym.
do take heed to yourselves. If (now *k) shall sin (against *k) (you *K) the brother of you, do rebuke him; and if he shall repent, do forgive him.
4 And if seuene sithis in the dai he do synne ayens thee, and seuene sithis in the dai he be conuertid to thee, and seie, It forthenkith me, foryyue thou hym.
And if seven times in the day (he shall sin *N+kO) against you and seven times (day *k) shall return (to *N+kO) you saying: I repent, you will forgive him.
5 And the apostlis seiden to the Lord, Encrese to vs feith.
And said the apostles to the Lord; do add to us faith!
6 And the Lord seide, If ye han feith as the corn of seneuei, ye schulen seie to this more tre, Be thou drawun vp bi the rote, and be ouerplauntid in to the see, and it schal obeie to you.
Said then the Lord; If (you have *N+kO) faith like a grain of mustard, you have spoken then would to the mulberry tree this; do be uprooted and do be planted in the sea, and it have obeyed would you.
7 But who of you hath a seruaunt erynge, or lesewynge oxis, which seith to hym, whanne he turneth ayen fro the feeld, Anoon go, and sitte to mete;
Which now of you a servant having plowing or shepherding, the [one] having come in out of the field will say to him; Immediately having come (do recline? *N+kO)
8 and seith not to hym, Make redi, that Y soupe, and girde thee, and serue me, while Y ete and drynke, and aftir this thou schalt ete and drynke;
But surely he will say to him; do prepare what I may eat, and having girded yourself about do serve me while I may eat and I may drink, and after these things you will eat and will drink you yourself?’
9 whether he hath grace to that seruaunt, for he dide that that he comaundide hym?
Not is he thankful to the servant (that [one] *k) because he did the [things] having been commanded (to him not I think? *K)
10 Nay, Y gesse. So ye, whanne ye han don alle thingis that ben comaundid to you, seie ye, We ben vnprofitable seruauntis, we han do that that we ouyten to do.
Thus also you yourselves, when you may have done all the [things] having been commanded you, do say that Servants unworthy are we; (for *k) that which (we were obliged *NK+o) to do we have done.
11 And it was do, the while Jhesus wente in to Jerusalem, he passide thorou the myddis of Samarie, and Galilee.
And it came to pass in the going up (him *ko) to Jerusalem that He himself was passing through ([the] midst *N+kO) of Samaria and Galilee.
12 And whanne he entride in to a castel, ten leprouse men camen ayens hym, whiche stoden afer,
And when is entering He into a certain village met with Him ten leprous men, who (stood *NK+O) afar off.
13 and reiseden her voys, and seiden, Jhesu, comaundoure, haue merci on vs.
And they themselves lifted up [their] voice saying; Jesus Master, do have compassion on us.
14 And as he say hem, he seide, Go ye, `schewe ye you to the prestis. And it was don, the while thei wenten, thei weren clensid.
And having seen [them] He said to them; Having gone do show yourselves to the priests. And it came to pass in the going them, they were cleansed.
15 And oon of hem, as he saiy that he was clensid, wente ayen, magnifiynge God with grete vois.
one then of them having seen that he was healed, turned back with a voice loud glorifying God.
16 And he fel doun on the face bifore hise feet, and dide thankyngis; and this was a Samaritan.
and he fell on [his] face at the feet of Him giving thanks to Him; and he himself was a Samaritan.
17 And Jhesus answerde, and seide, Whether ten ben not clensid, and where ben the nyne?
Having answered then Jesus said; (surely *NK+o) the ten were cleansed? But the nine are where?
18 There is noon foundun, that turnede ayen, and yaf glorie to God, but this alien.
None was there found having returned to give glory to God only except foreigner this?
19 And he seide to hym, Rise vp, go thou; for thi feith hath maad thee saaf.
And He said to him; Having risen up do go forth; the faith of you has cured you!
20 And he was axid of Farisees, whanne the rewme of God cometh. And he answerde to hem, and seide, The rewme of God cometh not with aspiyng,
Having been asked now by the Pharisees when is coming the kingdom of God, He answered to them and said; Not comes the kingdom of God with careful observation,
21 nether thei schulen seie, Lo! here, or lo there; for lo! the rewme of God is with ynne you.
nor will they say; Behold here or (behold *ko) There. Behold for the kingdom of God in the midst of you is.
22 And he seide to hise disciplis, Daies schulen come, whanne ye schulen desire to se o dai of mannus sone, and ye schulen not se.
He said then to the disciples; Will come days when you will desire one of the days of the Son of Man to see and not you will behold [it].
23 And thei schulen seie to you, Lo! here, and lo there. Nyle ye go, nether sue ye;
And they will say to you; Behold there or Behold here. Not may go forth nor may follow.
24 for as leyt schynynge from vndur heuene schyneth in to tho thingis that ben vndur heuene, so schal mannus sone be in his dai.
As for the lightning (which *ko) is flashing from the [one end] under (the *no) sky to the [other end] under [the] sky shines, thus will be (also *k) the Son of Man in the day of Him.
25 But first it bihoueth hym to suffre many thingis, and to be repreued of this generacioun.
First however it behooves Him many things to suffer and to be rejected by generation this.
26 And as it was doon in the daies of Noe, so it schal be in the daies of mannys sone.
And even as it came to pass in the days of Noah, thus will it be also in the days of the Son of man:
27 Thei eeten and drunkun, weddiden wyues, and weren youun to weddyngis, til in to the dai in the whych Noe entride in to the schip; and the greet flood cam, and loste alle.
They were eating, were drinking, were marrying, (were being given in marriage, *N+kO) until that day entered Noah into the ark, and came the flood and destroyed (all. *N+kO)
28 Also as it was don in the daies of Loth, thei eeten and drunkun, bouyten and seelden, plauntiden and bildiden; but the dai that Loth wente out of Sodome,
Likewise (even as *N+kO) it came to pass in the days of Lot; they were eating, they were drinking, they were buying, they were selling, they were planting, they were building.
29 the Lord reynede fier and brymstoon fro heuene, and loste alle.
in that then day went out Lot from Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed (all; *N+kO)
30 Lijk this thing it schal be, in what dai mannys sone schal be schewid.
According (to these *N+kO) will it be in that day the Son of Man is revealed.
31 In that our he that is in the roof, and his vessels in the hous, come he not doun to take hem awei; and he that schal be in the feeld, also turne not ayen bihynde.
In that [very] day the [one who] will be on the housetop and the goods of him in the house, not he should come down to take away them; and the [one] in (the *k) field likewise not he should return to the [things] back.
32 Be ye myndeful of the wijf of Loth.
do remember the wife of Lot!
33 Who euer seketh to make his lijf saaf, schal leese it; and who euer leesith it, schal quykene it.
Who[ever] if shall seek the life of him (to gain *N+KO) will lose it, (and *k) who[ever] (but *no) (maybe *N+kO) (shall lose *NK+o) (it *k) will preserve it.
34 But Y seie to you, in that nyyt twei schulen be in o bed, oon schal be takun, and the tothir forsakun;
I say to you; in that night there will be two upon bed one: The one will be taken, and the other will be left.
35 twei wymmen schulen be gryndynge togidir, `the toon schal be takun, and `the tother forsakun; twei in a feeld, `the toon schal be takun, and `the tother left.
There will be two [women] grinding at the same [place]; (The *no) one will be taken, (and *k) (and *no) the other will be left.
36 Thei answeren, and seien to hym, Where, Lord?
(two in field; one will be taken and another it will be left *K)
37 Which seide to hym, Where euer the bodi schal be, thidur schulen be gaderid togidere also the eglis.
And answering they say to Him; Where, Lord? And He said to them; Where the body [is], there (also *no) the vultures (will be gathered. *N+kO)
