Leviticus 16
1 And the Lord spak to Moises, aftir the deeth of the twei sones of Aaron, whanne thei offriden alien fier, and weren slayn, and comaundide to hym,
૧હારુનના બે દીકરા જ્યારે યહોવાહની સમક્ષ ગયા ત્યારે મૃત્યુ પામ્યા અને તેઓના મૃત્યુ પછી યહોવાહે મૂસાની સાથે વાત કરી.
2 and seide, Speke thou to Aaron, thi brother, that he entre not in al tyme in to the seyntuarie, which is with ynne the veil bifor the propiciatorie, bi which the arke is hilid, that he die not; for Y schal appere in a cloude on Goddis answeryng place;
૨પછી યહોવાહે મૂસાને કહ્યું, “તારા ભાઈ હારુનને કહે, પરમપવિત્ર સ્થાનમાં એટલે કે તંબુના પડદાની અંદરની બાજુએ પવિત્ર કોશ પરના દયાસન સમક્ષ કોઈ પણ સમયે આવે નહિ. જો તે તેમ કરશે તો તે મૃત્યુ પામશે. કારણ કે તે દયાસન પર વાદળરૂપે હું દેખાઈશ.
3 `no but he do these thingis bifore. He schal offer a calf for synne, and a ram in to brent sacrifice;
૩તેથી અહીં હારુન આ રીતે પરમપવિત્ર સ્થાનમાં પ્રવેશ કરે. પાપાર્થાર્પણ માટે એક બળદ તથા દહનીયાર્પણ માટે એક ઘેટો લઈને તે પરમપવિત્ર સ્થાનમાં પ્રવેશ કરે.
4 he schal be clothid with a lynnun coote, he schal hide the schamefast membris with pryuy lynnun clothis; he schal be gird with a lynnun girdil, he schal putte a lynnun mytre on his heed; for these clothis ben hooli, with whiche alle he schal be clothid, whanne he is waischun.
૪તે શણનું પવિત્ર ઉપવસ્ત્ર અને શણની ઈજાર પહેરે. કમરે શણનો કમરપટો અને માથે શણની પાઘડી બાંધે. આ પવિત્ર વસ્ત્રો છે. એ પહેરતાં પહેલાં તેણે પાણીથી સ્નાન કરવું.
5 And he schal take of al the multitude of the sones of Israel twei kidis for synne, and o ram in to brent sacrifice;
૫તે ઇઝરાયલી પ્રજા પાસેથી પાપાર્થાર્પણ માટે બે બકરા તથા દહનીયાર્પણ માટે એક ઘેટો લે.
6 and whanne he offrith a calf, and preieth for hym,
૬પછી હારુન પોતાને માટે પાપાર્થાર્પણના બળદને રજૂ કરે અને પોતાના માટે તેમ જ પોતાના પરિવાર માટે પ્રાયશ્ચિત કરે.
7 and for his hows, he schal make twei `buckis of geet to stonde bifor the Lord, in the dore of the tabernacle of witnessyng;
૭ત્યારપછી તે બે બકરાઓ લઈને મુલાકાતમંડપના પ્રવેશદ્વાર આગળ યહોવાહ સમક્ષ લાવે.
8 and he schal sende `on euer eithir, o lot to the Lord, and another lot to the goot that schal be sent out.
૮પછી હારુન તે બે બકરા માટે ચિઠ્ઠીઓ નાખે, એટલે એક ચિઠ્ઠી યહોવાહને માટે અને બીજી અઝાઝેલને માટે નક્કી કરે.
9 Whos lot goith out to the Lord, he schal offre it for synne;
૯જે બકરા પર યહોવાહના નામની ચિઠ્ઠી પડે, તેને હારુન પાપાર્થાર્પણને માટે અર્પણ કરે.
10 sotheli whos lot goith out in to goot that schal be sent out, he schal sette hym quyk bifor the Lord, that he sende preyers `on hym, and sende hym out in to wildirnesse.
૧૦પરંતુ જે બકરા પર અઝાઝેલના નામની ચિઠ્ઠી પડે તેને અઝાઝેલને માટે અરણ્યમાં મોકલી દેવા માટે તેને માટે પ્રાયશ્ચિત કરવાને યહોવાહ સમક્ષ તેને જીવતો રજૂ કરે.
11 Whanne these thingis ben doon riytfuli, he schal offre the calf, and `he schal preye for hym silf, and for his hows, and schal offre the calf.
૧૧પછી હારુન પોતાના અને પોતાના પરિવાર માટે પાપાર્થાર્પણને સારુ બળદ રજૂ કરે. પોતાને માટે તથા પોતાના પરિવાર માટે પ્રાયશ્ચિત કરે અને પાપાર્થાર્પણનો જે બળદ પોતાના માટે હોય તેને કાપે.
12 And whanne he hath take the censeer, which he hath fillid of the coolis of the auter, and `he hath take in hond the `swete smellynge spicery maad into encense, he schal entre ouer the veil in to the hooli thingis;
૧૨પછી હારુન એક ધૂપદાનીમાં યહોવાહ આગળની વેદીમાંથી સળગતા અંગારા અને બે મુઠ્ઠી બારીક દળેલો ધૂપ લઈને તેને પડદાની અંદરની બાજુએ લાવે.
13 that whanne swete smellynge spiceries ben put on the fier, the cloude and `vapour of tho hile Goddis answeryng place, which is on the witnessyng, and he die not.
૧૩પછી યહોવાહ સમક્ષ અંગારા ઉપર તે ધૂપ તે નાખે જેથી કરારકોશ પરના દયાસન ઉપરનું વાદળ ધુમાડાથી ઢંકાઈ જાય. અને આમ કરવાથી તે મૃત્યુ પામશે નહિ.
14 Also he schal take of the `blood of the calf, and he schal sprenge seuensithis with the fyngur ayens `the propiciatorie, `to the eest.
૧૪ત્યારપછી તે બળદના રક્તમાંથી થોડું રક્ત પૂર્વ તરફ પોતાની આંગળી વડે દયાસન પર છાંટે. અને તેમાંનુ થોડું રક્ત દયાસનની સામે આંગળી વડે સાત વાર છાંટે.
15 And whanne he hath slayn the `buk of geet, for synne of the puple, he schal brynge in the blood therof with ynne the veil, as it is comaundid of the `blood of the calf, that he sprynge euene ayens Goddis answeryng place,
૧૫ત્યારપછી તે લોકોના પાપાર્થાર્પણનો બકરો કાપે અને તેનું રક્ત પડદાની અંદરની બાજુ લાવે. બળદના રક્તની જેમ તે તેના રક્તનું પણ કરે; તે દયાસન પર તેને છાંટે ત્યારપછી દયાસનની સામે તેને છાંટે.
16 and he schal clense the seyntuarie fro vnclennessis of the sones of Israel, and fro her trespassyngis, and alle synnes. Bi this custom he schal do in the tabernacle of witnessyng, which is set among hem, in the myddis of partis of the abitacioun `of hem.
૧૬તે ઇઝરાયલના લોકોની અશુદ્ધતાના લીધે, તેઓના પાપો અને વિદ્રોહના કારણે પવિત્રસ્થાનને માટે પ્રાયશ્ચિત કરે. એ જ રીતે તેઓની અશુદ્ધતા મધ્યે તેઓની સાથે રહેનાર મુલાકાતમંડપને સારુ કરે, જેમાં યહોવાહ વસે છે.
17 No man be in the tabernacle, whanne the bischop schal entre in to the seyntuarie, that he preye for hym silf, and for his hows, and for al the cumpeny of Israel, til he go out of the tabernacle.
૧૭હારુન પ્રાયશ્ચિત કરવા માટે પરમપવિત્ર સ્થાનમાં દાખલ થાય ત્યારથી તે પોતાને સારુ, પોતાના પરિવારને સારુ તથા સર્વ ઇઝરાયલીઓને સારું પ્રાયશ્ચિત કરીને બહાર ન આવે, ત્યાં સુધી કોઈને મુલાકાતમંડપમાં રહેવા ન દેવો.
18 Sotheli whanne he hath go out to the auter which is bifor the Lord, preye he for hym silf, and schede he on the hornes therof, bi cumpas, the blood `that is takun of the calf, and of the `buk of geet;
૧૮બહાર આવીને યહોવાહની સમક્ષ વેદી પાસે જઈને તેને સારુ તે પ્રાયશ્ચિત કરે. તેણે બળદના અને બકરાના રક્તમાંથી થોડું થોડું લઈને વેદીનાં શિંગો પર ચોપડવું.
19 and sprynge he seuensithis with the fyngur, and clense he, and halewe the autir fro vnclennessis of the sones of Israel.
૧૯એ રક્તમાંથી આંગળી વડે તે વેદી ઉપર સાત વખત છાંટીને તેને શુદ્ધ કરે અને ઇઝરાયલીઓની અશુદ્ધતામાંથી તેને પવિત્ર કરે.
20 Aftir that he hath clensid the seyntuarie, and tabernacle, and auter, thanne offre he the lyuynge `buc of geet;
૨૦પરમ પવિત્રસ્થાન, મુલાકાતમંડપ અને વેદીને માટે પ્રાયશ્ચિત કરી રહે ત્યારે જીવિત બકરાંને તે હાજર કરે.
21 and whanne euer eithir hond is set on the heed therof, knowleche the preest alle the wickidnessis of the sones of Israel, and alle the trespassis and synnes `of hem, whiche the preest schal wische to the heed therof, and schal sende hym out in to deseert bi a man maad redi.
૨૧અને પછી હારુન તે જીવતા બકરાના માથા પર બન્ને હાથ મૂકીને ઇઝરાયલીઓની સર્વ દુષ્ટતા, સર્વ પાપો અને તેઓનો વિદ્રોહ કબૂલ કરીને તે સર્વ એ બકરાના શિર પર મૂકે. તે પછી તેણે આ કામ માટે નક્કી કરેલા માણસ સાથે તે બકરાંને રણમાં મોકલી આપવો.
22 And whanne the `buc of geet hath bore alle the wickidnessis `of hem in to a deseert lond,
૨૨પછી તે બકરો લોકોની સર્વ દુષ્ટતા જે જગ્યાએ કોઈ રહેતું ના હોય તેવી નિર્જન જગ્યાએ લઈ જશે. અને આ માણસ તેને નિર્જન અરણ્યમાં છોડી દેશે.
23 and is left `in deseert, Aaron schal turn ayen in to the tabernacle of witnessyng; and whanne the clothis ben put of, in whiche he was clothid bifore, whanne he entrid in to the seyntuarie of God, and ben left there,
૨૩ત્યારપછી હારુન મુલાકાતમંડપમાં પાછો આવે. પવિત્રસ્થાનમાં દાખલ થતી વખતે પહેરેલા શણનાં વસ્ત્રો ઉતારીને ત્યાં રાખી મૂકે.
24 he schal waische his fleisch in the hooli place, and he schal be clothid in his owen clothis, and aftir that he hath go out, and hath offrid the brent sacrifice of hym silf, and of the puple, he schal preye as wel for hym silf, as for the puple;
૨૪પવિત્રસ્થાનમાં સ્નાન કરીને તે પોતાના વસ્ત્રો પહેરે અને બહાર જઈને પોતાનું અને લોકોનું દહનીયાર્પણ અર્પણ કરે અને આ રીતે પોતાને સારુ અને લોકોને સારુ પ્રાયશ્ચિત કરે.
25 and he schal brenne on the auter the innere fatnesse which is offrid for synne.
૨૫પાપાર્થાર્પણની ચરબીનું દહન તે વેદી પર કરે.
26 Sotheli he that leet go the `buk of geet able to be sent out, schal waische hise clothis and bodi with water, and so he schal entre in to the castels.
૨૬અઝાઝેલ માટેના બકરાંને લઈ જનાર માણસે પોતાના વસ્ત્ર ધોઈ નાખવા અને સ્નાન કરવું; ત્યારપછી જ તે છાવણીમાં પાછો આવે.
27 Forsothe thei schulen bere out of the castels the calf and `buk of geet, that weren offrid for synne, and whos blood was brouyt in to the seyntuarie, that the clensyng were fillid; and thei schulen brenne bi fier as well the skynnys, as the fleischis and dung of tho.
૨૭પછી પાપાર્થાર્પણને સારુ ચઢાવેલા બળદ અને બકરાંને એટલે જેઓનું રક્ત પ્રાયશ્ચિતને માટે પવિત્રસ્થાનમાં લઈ જવામાં આવ્યું હતું તેઓને છાવણી બહાર લઈ જવા અને ચામડાં, માંસ અને આંતરડાં સહિત બાળી નાખવા.
28 And who euer brenneth tho, schal waische hise clothis and fleisch in watir, and so he schal entre in to the castels.
૨૮આ બધું બાળનાર માણસે પોતાના વસ્ત્રો ધોઈ નાખવાં, સ્નાન કરવું અને પછી છાવણીમાં પાછા ફરવું.
29 And this schal be to you a lawful thing euerlastynge; in the seuenthe monethe, in the tenthe dai of the monethe, ye schulen turment youre soulis, and ye schulen not do ony werk, nethir a man borun in the lond, nether a comelyng which is a pilgrym among you.
૨૯એ સદાને માટે તમારો વિધિ થાય; દેશનાં વતનીઓ તથા તમારી મધ્યે વસતા વિદેશીઓએ સાતમા મહિનાના દશમા દિવસે ઉપવાસ કરવો અને કોઈ કામ કરવું નહિ.
30 The delyueryng fro synne, and the clensyng of you schal be in this dai, ye schulen be clensid bifore the Lord fro alle youre synnes;
૩૦કેમ કે તે દિવસે તમને શુદ્ધ કરવા માટે તમારા માટે પ્રાયશ્ચિત કરવામાં આવશે; તમે તમારા પાપોથી યહોવાહની આગળ શુદ્ધ થશો.
31 for it is sabat of restyng, and ye schulen turment youre soulis bi euerlastynge religioun.
૩૧તમારા માટે તે પવિત્ર વિશ્રામવારનો દિવસ છે. તમારે ઉપવાસ કરવો અને કંઈ કામ કરવું નહિ. આ સદાને માટેનો નિયમ છે.
32 Sotheli the preest schal clense, which is anoyntid, and whos hondis ben halewid, that he be set in preesthod for his fadir; and he schal be clothid in a lynnun stoole, and in hooli clothis,
૩૨આ પ્રાયશ્ચિત મુખ્ય યાજકે એટલે જે તેના પિતાના સ્થાને યાજકપદને સારુ અભિષિક્ત અને પવિત્ર કરવામાં આવ્યો હોય તેણે કરવું. તે પ્રાયશ્ચિત કરે, તે યાજકે શણના પવિત્ર વસ્ત્ર પહેરવા.
33 and he schal clense the seyntuarie, and the tabernacle of witnessyng, and the auter, and the preestis, and al the puple.
૩૩અને પરમ પવિત્રસ્થાનને માટે, મુલાકાતમંડપને માટે, વેદીને માટે, યાજકોને માટે તથા સભાના સમગ્ર લોકોને માટે તેણે પ્રાયશ્ચિત કરવું.
34 And this schal be to you a lawful thing euerlastynge, that ye preye for the sones of Israel, and for alle the synnes `of hem, onys in the yeer. Therfor he dide, as the Lord comaundide to Moises.
૩૪આ તમારે સારુ સદાનો વિધિ થાય; આ રીતે પ્રતિવર્ષ એક વાર ઇઝરાયલીઓના પાપો માટે પ્રાયશ્ચિત કરવું. યહોવાહે મૂસાને આપેલી સર્વ આજ્ઞા પ્રમાણે તેણે કર્યું.
