Leviticus 12
1 And the Lord spak to Moises, `and seide, Speke thou to the sones of Israel,
Yahweh parla à Moïse, en disant:
2 and thou schalt seie to hem, If a womman, whanne sche hath resseyued seed, childith a knaue child, sche schal be vnclene bi seuene daies bi the daies of departyng of corrupt blood, that renneth bi monethis;
" Parle aux enfants d'Israël, et dis-leur: Quand une femme enfantera et mettra au monde un garçon, elle sera impure pendant sept jours; elle sera impure comme aux jours de son indisposition menstruelle.
3 and the yong child schal be circumsidid in the eiytithe dai.
Le huitième jour, l'enfant sera circoncis;
4 Sotheli sche schal dwelle thre and thretti daies in the blood of hir purifiyng; sche schal not touche ony hooli thing, nethir sche schal entre in to the seyntuarie, til the daies of her clensing be fillid.
mais elle restera encore trente-trois jours dans le sang de sa purification; elle ne touchera aucune chose sainte et elle n'ira point au sanctuaire, jusqu'à ce que les jours de sa purification soient accomplis.
5 Sotheli if sche childith a female, sche schal be vnclene twei woukis, bi the custom of flowyng of vnclene blood, and `thre scoor and sixe daies sche schal dwelle in the blood of her clensyng.
Si elle met au monde une fille, elle sera impure pendant deux semaines, comme à son indisposition menstruelle, et elle restera soixante-six jours dans le sang de sa purification.
6 And whanne the daies of hir clensyng, for a sone, ether for a douytir, ben fillid, sche schal brynge a lomb of o yeer in to brent sacrifice, and a `bryd of a culuer, ethir a turtle, for synne, to the dore of the tabernacle of witnessyng;
Lorsque les jours de sa purification seront accomplis, pour un fils ou une fille, elle présentera au prêtre, à l'entrée de la tente de réunion, un agneau d'un an en holocauste, et un jeune pigeon ou une tourterelle en sacrifice pour le péché.
7 and sche schal yyue to the preest, which schal offre tho bifor the Lord, and schal preye for hir, and so sche schal be clensid fro the fowyng of hir blood. This is the lawe of a womman childynge a male, ethir a female.
Le prêtre les offrira devant Yahweh, et fera pour elle l'expiation, et elle sera pure du flux de son sang. Telle est la loi pour la femme qui met au monde soit un fils soit une fille.
8 That if hir hond fyndith not, nethir may offre a lomb, sche schal take twei turtlis, ethir twei `briddis of culueres, oon in to brent sacrifice, and the tother for synne; and the preest schal preye for hir, and so sche schal be clensid.
Si elle n'a pas de quoi se procurer un agneau, qu'elle prenne deux tourterelles ou deux jeunes pigeons, l'un pour l'holocauste, l'autre pour le sacrifice pour le péché; et le prêtre fera pour elle l'expiation, et elle sera pure. "
