Jeremiah 35

1 The word that was maad of the Lord to Jeremye, in the daies of Joachym, sone of Josie,

Das Wort, das von dem Herrn erging an Jeremias, zur Zeit des Judakönigs Jojakim, des Sohnes des Josias.

2 kyng of Juda, and seide, Go thou to the hous of Recabitis, and speke thou to hem; and thou schalt brynge hem in to the hous of the Lord, in to o chaumbre of tresouris, and thou schalt yyue to hem to drynke wyn.

"Ins Haus der Rekabiter geh und sprich mit ihnen! Führ sie ins Haus des Herrn hinein, in eine seiner Zellen, und setze ihnen Wein zum Trinken vor!"

3 And Y took Jeconye, the sone of Jeremye, sone of Absanye, and hise britheren, and alle the sones of hym, and al the hous of Recabitis.

Ich holte Jajanja, Jeremias Sohn und Habasankjas Enkel, samt seinen Brüdern, seinen Söhnen allen, sowie das ganze Rekabiter-Haus

4 And Y ledde hem in to the hous of the Lord, to the treserie of the sones of Eman, sone of Godolie, the man of God; which treserie was bisidis the treserie of princes, aboue the tresour of Maasie, sone of Sellum, that was kepere of the vestiarie.

und führte sie ins Haus des Herrn in das Gemach der Söhne Hanans, eines Sohns des Gottesmanns Igdalja. Neben dem Gemach des Fürsten lag es über der Zelle des Sallumsohns und Schwellenhüters Maaseja.

5 And Y settide bifore the sones of the hous of Recabitis pecis, and grete cowpis ful of wyn; and Y seide to hem, Drinke ye wyn.

Hier setzte ich den Söhnen aus dem Rekabiterhause mit Wein gefüllte Krüge und Becher vor und sprach zu ihnen. "Trinket Wein!"

6 And thei answeriden, We schulen not drinke wyn; for whi Jonadab, oure fadir, the sone of Recab, comaundide to vs, and seide, Ye schulen not drinke wyn, ye and youre sones, `til in to withouten ende;

Da sprachen sie: "Wir trinken keinen Wein. Denn Jonadab, des Rekab Sohn und unser Ahnherr, schrieb folgendes uns vor: 'Wein sollet weder ihr noch eure Söhne trinken,

7 and ye schulen not bilde an hous, and ye schulen not sowe seed, and ye schulen not plaunte vynes, nether schulen haue, but ye schulen dwelle in tabernaclis in alle youre daies, that ye lyue many daies on the face of erthe, in which ye goen in pilgrymage.

noch Häuser bauen, noch Samen säen, noch Weinberge bepflanzen, noch besitzen! Vielmehr sollt ihr die ganze Lebenszeit in Zelten wohnen! So bleibt ihr viele Tage in dem Land, in dem ihr nur als Wandrer lebt.'

8 Therfor we obeieden to the vois of Jonadab, oure fadir, the sone of Recab, in alle thingis whiche he comaundide to vs; so that we drunken not wyn in alle oure dayes, we, and oure wymmen, oure sones, and douytris;

Wir folgten dem Befehl des Rekabsohnes und unseres Ahnen Jonadab in allem, was er uns geheißen. Wir tranken keinen Wein in unserm Leben, wir nicht noch unsere Weiber, noch unsere Söhne, noch unsere Töchter;

9 and we bildiden not housis to dwelle, and we hadden not a vyner, and a feeld, and seed;

auch bauten wir keine Wohnhäuser. Wir hatten weder Weinberge noch Äcker.

10 but we dwelliden in tabernaclis, and weren obeiynge, and diden bi alle thingis, whiche Jonadab, oure fadir, comaundide to vs.

Wir wohnten unter Zelten und taten aus Gehorsam alles, was unser Ahnherr Jonadab uns vorgeschrieben.

11 But whanne Nabugodonosor, kyng of Babiloyne, hadde stied to this lond, we seiden, Come ye, and entre we in to Jerusalem, fro the face of the oost of Caldeis, and fro the face of the oost of Sirie; and we dwelliden in Jerusalem.

Als aber Babels König, Nebukadrezar, in das Land einfiel, da sprachen wir: 'Kommt! Laßt uns nach Jerusalem verziehen vor dem Heere der Chaldäer und vor dem Heer der Aramäer!' So nahmen wir Jerusalem zum Wohnsitz."

12 And the word of the Lord was maad to Jeremye,

Darauf erging das Wort des Herrn an Jeremias, also lautend:

13 and seide, The Lord of oostis, God of Israel, seith these thingis, Go thou, and seie to the men of Juda, and to the dwelleris of Jerusalem, Whether ye schulen not take techyng, that ye obeie to my wordis, seith the Lord?

"So spricht der Herr der Heerscharen, Gott Israels: Geh hin und sprich zu Judas Männern und zu Jerusalems Bewohnern! Wollt ihr's euch nicht zum Beispiel nehmen, daß ihr auf meine Worte hört?" Ein Spruch des Herrn.

14 The wordis of Jonadab, sone of Rechab, hadden the maistrie, whiche he comaundide to hise sones, that thei schulden not drynke wyn; and thei drynken not, `til to this dai; for thei obeieden to the comaundement of her fadir; but Y spak to you, and Y roos ful eerli, and spake, and ye obeieden not to me.

"Des Jonadab, des Rekabsohns, Befehle werden ausgeführt. Verboten hat er seinen Söhnen, Wein zu trinken. Sie trinken keinen bis auf diesen Tag. Denn sie gehorchen dem Befehle ihres Ahnherrn. Nun sprech auch ich zu euch, und zwar vom frühen Morgen an: Ihr aber höret nicht auf mich.

15 And Y sente to you alle my seruauntis profetis, and Y roos ful eerli, and Y sente, and seide, Be ye conuertid, ech man fro his worste weye, and make ye good youre studies, and nyle ye sue alien goddis, nether worschipe ye hem, and ye schulen dwelle in the lond, which Y yaf to you, and to youre fadris; and ye bowiden not youre eere, nether herden me.

All meine Diener, die Propheten, sandte ich zu euch. Ich sandte sie am frühen Morgen schon, zu künden: 'Kehrt doch, ein jeglicher, von seinem schlimmen Wege um! Befleißt euch guter Taten! Den andern Götzen geht nicht nach, sie zu verehren! Dann bleibet ihr in diesem Land, das ich euch gab und euren Vätern.' Ihr aber neiget euer Ohr nicht her und höret nicht auf mich.

16 Therfor the sones of Jonadab, sone of Recab, maden stidfast the comaundement of her fadir, which he comaundide to hem; but this puple obeiede not to me.

Die Söhne Jonadabs, des Rekabsohns, befolgen treulich ihres Ahnherrn Vorschrift, die er ihnen gab. Doch kein Gehör schenkt mir dies Volk."

17 Therfor the Lord of oostis, God of Israel, seith these thingis, Lo! Y schal bringe on Juda, and on alle the dwelleris of Jerusalem, al the turment which Y spak ayens hem; for Y spak to hem, and thei herden not; Y clepide hem, and thei answeriden not to me.

So spricht deshalb der Herr der Heerscharen, Gott Israels: "Fürwahr, ich bringe über Juda und alle Einwohner Jerusalems das ganze Unheil, das ich ihnen angedroht. Ich sprach zu ihnen; sie aber hörten nicht; ich rief sie an, sie aber gaben keine Antwort."

18 Forsothe Jeremye seide to the hous of Recabitis, The Lord of oostis, God of Israel, seith these thingis, For that that ye obeieden to the comaundement of Jonadab, youre fadir, and kepten alle hise comaundementis, and diden alle thingis, whiche he comaundide to you;

Dagegen sprach zum Haus der Rekabiter Jeremias: "So spricht der Herr der Heerscharen, Gott Israels: 'Ihr seid dem Worte eures Ahnherrn Jonadab gehorsam, beachtet alle seine Forderungen und tut, was er euch vorgeschrieben!'

19 therfor the Lord of oostis, God of Israel, seith these thingis, A man of the generacioun of Jonadab, sone of Recab, schal not faile stondynge in my siyt in alle daies.

Deshalb spricht so der Herr der Heerscharen, Gott Israels: 'Nie soll es Jonadab, dem Rekabsohne, an einem mangeln, der mir Dienste tut.'"
