Genesis 12
1 Forsothe the Lord seide to Abram, Go thou out of thi lond, and of thi kynrede, and of the hous of thi fadir, and come thou in to the lond which Y schal schewe to thee;
Und Jehovah sprach zu Abram: Gehe aus deinem Lande, und aus deinem Geburtsort und aus dem Hause deines Vaters nach dem Lande, das Ich dir zeigen werde.
2 and Y schal make thee in to a greet folk, and Y schal blisse thee, and Y schal magnyfie thi name, and thou schalt be blessid;
Und Ich will dich zu einer großen Völkerschaft machen und dich segnen und groß machen deinen Namen, und du sollst zum Segen werden.
3 Y schal blesse hem that blessen thee, and Y schal curse hem that cursen thee; and alle kynredis of erthe schulen be blessid in thee.
Und Ich will segnen, die dich segnen und verfluchen, wer dir flucht; und in dir sollen gesegnet werden alle Familien des Bodens!
4 And so Abram yede out, as the Lord comaundide hym, and Loth yede with hym. Abram was of `thre scoor yeer and fiftene whanne he yede out of Aran.
Und Abram ging, wie Jehovah zu ihm geredet hatte, und Lot ging mit ihm, und Abram war fünfundsiebzig Jahre alt da er von Charan auszog.
5 And he took Saray, his wijf, and Loth, the sone of his brother, and al the substaunce which thei hadden in possessioun, and the men whiche thei hadden bigete in Aran; and thei yeden out that thei `schulen go in to the loond of Chanaan. And whanne they camen in to it,
Und Abram nahm Sarai sein Weib und Lot, seines Bruders Sohn, und all ihre Habe, die sie gewonnen und die Seelen, die sie sich in Charan verschafft, und sie zogen aus, um nach dem Lande Kanaan zu gehen, und kamen ins Land Kanaan.
6 Abram passide thorou the lond til to the place of Sichem, and til to the noble valey. Forsothe Chananei was thanne in the lond.
Und Abram zog hin im Lande bis an den Ort Sichem, zum Eichenhain Moreh, und der Kanaaniter war damals in dem Lande.
7 Sotheli the Lord apperide to Abram, and seide to hym, Y schal yyue this lond to thi seed. And Abram bildide there an auter to the Lord, that apperide to hym.
Und Jehovah erschien dem Abram und sprach: Deinem Samen will Ich geben dieses Land; und er baute da einen Altar dem Jehovah, Der ihm erschienen.
8 And fro thennus he passide forth to the hil Bethel, that was ayens the eest, and settide there his tabernacle, hauynge Bethel fro the west, and Hay fro the eest. And he bildide also there an auter to the Lord, and inwardli clepide his name.
Und von da zog er weiter nach dem Berge im Osten von Bethel und schlug sein Zelt auf mit Bethel dem Meere zu und Haai im Osten und er baute dort dem Jehovah einen Altar, und rief den Namen Jehovahs an.
9 And Abram yede goynge and goynge forth ouer to the south.
Und Abram brach auf und ging und zog aus nach Mittag.
10 Sotheli hungur was maad in the lond; and Abram yede doun in to Egipt, to be a pilgrime ther, for hungur hadde maistrie in the lond.
Und es war eine Hungersnot im Land, und Abram ging hinab nach Ägypten um dort sich aufzuhalten; denn die Hungersnot war schwer in dem Lande.
11 And whanne he was nyy to entre in to Egipt, he seide to Saray, his wijf, Y knowe that thou art a fair womman,
Und es geschah, als er nahe war, nach Ägypten zu kommen, sprach er zu Sarai, seinem Weibe: Siehe ich weiß, daß du ein Weib, schön anzusehen, bist.
12 and that whanne Egipcians schulen se thee, thei schulen seie, it is his wijf, and thei schulen sle me, and `schulen reserue thee.
Und es wird geschehen, wenn dich die Ägypter sehen und sagen: das ist sein Weib! daß sie mich erwürgen und dich am Leben lassen.
13 Therfor, Y biseche thee, seie thou, that thou art my sistir, that it be wel to me for thee, and that my lijf lyue for loue of thee.
Sage doch, du seiest meine Schwester; auf daß es mir gut gehe um deinetwillen, und meine Seele am Leben bleibe deinetwegen.
14 And so whanne Abram hadde entrid in to Egipt, Egipcians sien the womman that sche was ful fair; and the prynces telden to Farao, and preiseden hir anentis him;
Und es geschah, als Abram nach Ägypten kam, daß die Ägypter das Weib sahen, daß sie sehr schön war.
15 and the womman was takun vp in to the hous of Farao.
Und die Obersten Pharaos sahen sie und lobten sie dem Pharao; und das Weib wurde in das Haus des Pharao genommen.
16 Forsothe thei vsiden wel Abram for hir; and scheep, and oxun, and assis, and seruauntis, and seruauntessis, and sche assis, and camels weren to hym.
Und er tat dem Abram Gutes um ihrethalben; und er hatte Kleinvieh und Rinder und Esel und Knechte und Dienstmägde und Eselinnen und Kamele.
17 Forsothe the Lord beet Farao and his hous with moste veniaunces, for Saray, the wijf of Abram.
Und Jehovah plagte Pharao und sein Haus mit großen Plagen ob Sarai, des Weibes Abrams.
18 And Farao clepide Abram, and seide to hym, What is it that thou hast do to me? whi schewidist thou not to me, that sche was thi wijf?
Und Pharao rief Abram und sprach: Was hast du mir das getan? Warum sagtest du mir nicht an, daß sie dein Weib ist?
19 for what cause seidist thou, that sche was thi sister, that Y schulde take hir in to wife to me? Now therfor lo! thi wiif; take thou hir, and go.
Warum sagtest du: sie ist meine Schwester, und ich hätte sie mir zum Weibe genommen? Und nun siehe, da ist dein Weib! Nimm sie und geh!
20 And Farao comaundide to men on Abram, and thei ledden forth hym, and his wijf, and alle thingis that he hadde.
Und Pharao gebot seinen Männern über ihn, und sie entsandten ihn und sein Weib mit allem, was er hatte.
