Exodus 23

1 Thou schalt not resseyue a vois of leesyng, nether thou schalt ioyne thin hond, that thou seie fals witnessyng for a wickid man.

۱ «خبر باطل را انتشار مده، و با شریران همداستان مشو، که شهادت دروغ دهی.

2 Thou schalt not sue the cumpanye to do yuel, nether thou schalt ascente to the sentence of ful many men in doom, that thou go awey fro treuthe.

۲ پیروی بسیاری برای عمل بد مکن؛ و درمرافعه، محض متابعت کثیری، سخنی برای انحراف حق مگو.

3 Also thou schalt not haue mercy of a pore man in a `cause, ethir doom.

۳ و در مرافعه فقیر نیزطرفداری او منما.

4 If thou meetist `the oxe of thin enemye, ethir the asse errynge, lede thou ayen to hym.

۴ اگر گاو یا الاغ دشمن خود رایافتی که گم شده باشد، البته آن را نزد او بازبیاور.

5 If thou seest that the asse of hym that hatith thee liggyth vndir a burthun, thou schalt not passe, but thou schalt reise with hym.

۵ اگر الاغ دشمن خود را زیر بارش خوابیده یافتی، و از گشادن او روگردان هستی، البته آن را همراه او باید بگشایی.

6 Thou schalt not bowe in the doom of a pore man.

۶ حق فقیرخود را در دعوی او منحرف مساز.

7 Thou schalt fle a lesyng. Thou schalt not sle an innocent man, and iust; for Y am aduersarie to a wickid man.

۷ از امردروغ اجتناب نما و بی‌گناه و صالح را به قتل مرسان زیرا که ظالم را عادل نخواهم شمرد.

8 Take thou not yiftis, that blynden also prudent men, and destryen the wordys of iust men.

۸ ورشوت مخور زیرا که رشوت بینایان را کورمی کند و سخن صدیقان را کج می‌سازد.

9 Thou schalt not be diseseful to a pilgrym, for ye knowen the soulis of comelyngis, for also ye weren pilgryms in the lond of Egipt.

۹ و برشخص غریب ظلم منما زیرا که از دل غریبان خبر دارید، چونکه در زمین مصر غریب بودید.

10 Sixe yeer thou schalt sowe thi lond, and thou schalt gadre fruytis therof;

۱۰ «و شش سال مزرعه خود را بکار ومحصولش را جمع کن،

11 forsothe in the seuenthe yeer thou schalt leeue it, and schalt make to reste, that the pore men of thi puple ete, and what euer is residue, the beestis of the feeld ete; so thou schalt do in thi vyner, and in place of olyue trees.

۱۱ لیکن در هفتمین آن رابگذار و ترک کن تا فقیران قوم تو از آن بخورند و آنچه از ایشان باقی ماند حیوانات صحرا بخورند. همچنین با تاکستان و درختان زیتون خود عمل نما.

12 Sixe dayes thou schalt worche, in the seuenthe dai thou schalt ceesse, that thin oxe and asse reste, and the sone of thin handmaide, and the comelyng be refreischid.

۱۲ شش روز به شغل خود بپرداز و در روزهفتمین آرام کن تا گاوت و الاغت آرام گیرند وپسر کنیزت و مهمانت استراحت کنند.

13 Kepe ye alle thingis, whiche Y seide to you; and ye schulen not swere bi the name of alien goddis, nether it schal be herd of youre mouth.

۱۳ و آنچه را به شما گفته‌ام، نگاه دارید و نام خدایان غیر راذکر مکنید، از زبانت شنیده نشود.

14 In thre tymes bi alle yeeris ye schulen halewe feestis to me.

۱۴ «در هر سال سه مرتبه عید برای من نگاه دار.

15 Thou schalt kepe the solempnyte of therf looues; seuene daies thou schalt ete therf breed, as Y comaundide to thee, in the tyme of monethe of newe thingis, whanne thou yedist out of Egipt; thou schalt not appere voide in my siyt.

۱۵ عید فطیر را نگاه دار، و چنانکه تو را امرفرموده‌ام، هفت روز نان فطیر بخور در زمان معین در ماه ابیب، زیرا که در آن از مصر بیرون آمدی. وهیچ‌کس به حضور من تهی‌دست حاضر نشود.

16 And thou schalt kepe the solempnete of the monethe of the firste thingis of thi werk, what euer thingis thou hast sowe in the feeld. Also thou schalt kepe the solempnyte in the goyng out of the yeer, whanne thou hast gaderid all thi fruytis of the feeld.

۱۶ و عید حصاد نوبر غلات خود را که در مزرعه کاشته‌ای، و عید جمع را در آخر سال وقتی که حاصل خود را از صحرا جمع کرده‌ای.

17 Thries in the yeer al thi male kynde schal appere bifore thi Lord God.

۱۷ در هرسال سه مرتبه همه ذکورانت به حضور خداوندیهوه حاضر شوند.

18 Thou schalt not offre the blood of thi slayn sacrifice on sour douy; nether the fatnesse of my solempnete schal dwelle til to the morewtid.

۱۸ خون قربانی مرا با نان خمیرمایه دار مگذران و پیه عید من تا صبح باقی نماند.

19 Thou schalt bere the firste thingis of the fruytis of thi lond in to the hows of thi Lord God. Thou schalt not sethe a kide in the mylke of his modir.

۱۹ نوبر نخستین زمین خود را به خانه یهوه خدای خود بیاور و بزغاله را در شیر مادرش مپز.

20 Lo! Y schal sende myn aungel, that schal go bifore thee, and schal kepe in the weie, and schal lede to the place which Y haue maad redi to thee.

۲۰ «اینک من فرشته‌ای پیش روی تومی فرستم تا تو را در راه محافظت نموده، بدان مکانی که مهیا کرده‌ام برساند.

21 Take thou hede to hym, and here thou his vois, nether gesse thou hym to be dispisid; for he schal not foryyue, whanne thou synnest, and my name is in him.

۲۱ از او با حذر باش و آواز او را بشنو و از او تمرد منما زیرا گناهان شما را نخواهد آمرزید، چونکه نام من در اوست.

22 For if thou herest his vois, and doist alle thingis whiche Y speke, Y schal be enemy to thin enemyes, and Y schal turment hem, that turmenten thee;

۲۲ و اگر قول او را شنیدی و به آنچه گفته‌ام عمل نمودی، هرآینه دشمن دشمنانت و مخالف مخالفانت خواهم بود،

23 and myn aungel schal go bifore thee, and he schal lede yn thee to Amorrei, and Ethei, and Ferezei, and Cananey, and Euey, and Jebusei, whiche Y schal breke.

۲۳ زیرا فرشته من پیش روی تو می‌رود و تو را به اموریان و حتیان وفرزیان و کنعانیان و حویان و یبوسیان خواهدرسانید و ایشان را هلاک خواهم ساخت.

24 Thou schalt not onoure `the goddis of hem, nether thou schalt worschipe hem; thou schalt not do the werkis of hem, but thou schalt destrie the goddis, and thou schalt breke the ymagis of hem.

۲۴ خدایان ایشان را سجده منما و آنها را عبادت مکن و موافق کارهای ایشان مکن، البته آنها رامنهدم ساز و بتهای ایشان را بشکن.

25 And ye schulen serue to youre Lord God, that Y blesse thi looues, and watris, and do awei sikenesse fro the myddis of thee;

۲۵ و یهوه، خدای خود را عبادت نمایید تا نان و آب تو رابرکت دهد و بیماری را از میان تو دور خواهم کرد،

26 neithir a womman vnfruytful, neither bareyn, schal be in thi lond; Y schal fille the noumbre of thi daies.

۲۶ و در زمینت سقط کننده و نازاد نخواهدبود و شماره روزهایت را تمام خواهم کرد.

27 Y schal sende my drede in to thi biforgoyng, and Y schal sle al the puple, to which thou schalt entre, and Y schal turne the backis of alle thin enemyes bifore thee;

۲۷ وخوف خود را پیش روی تو خواهم فرستاد و هرقومی را که بدیشان برسی متحیر خواهم ساخت و جمیع دشمنانت را پیش تو روگردان خواهم ساخت.

28 and Y schal sende out bifore scrabrouns, that schulen dryue awei Euey, and Cananey, and Ethei, bifore that thou entre.

۲۸ و زنبورها پیش روی تو خواهم فرستاد تا حویان و کنعانیان و حتیان را ازحضورت برانند.

29 Y schal not caste hem out fro thi face in o yeer, lest the lond be turned in to wildirnesse, and beestis encreesse ayens thee;

۲۹ ایشان را در یک سال ازحضور تو نخواهم راند، مبادا زمین ویران گردد وحیوانات صحرا بر تو زیاده شوند.

30 litil and litil I schal caste hem out fro thi siyt, til thou be encreessid, and welde the loond.

۳۰ ایشان را ازپیش روی تو به تدریج خواهم راند تا کثیر شوی و زمین را متصرف گردی.

31 Forsothe Y schal sette thi termys fro the reed see til to the see of Palestyns, and fro desert til to the flood. Y schal yyue to youre hondis the dwelleris of the lond, and Y schal caste hem out fro youre siyt;

۳۱ و حدود تو را از بحرقلزم تا بحر فلسطین، و از صحرا تا نهر فرات قراردهم زیرا ساکنان آن زمین را بدست شما خواهم سپرد و ایشان را از پیش روی خود خواهی راند.

32 thou schalt not make boond of pees with hem, nethir with `the goddis of hem.

۳۲ با ایشان و با خدایان ایشان عهد مبند.

33 Dwelle thei not in thi lond, lest perauenture thei make thee to do synne ayens me, yf thou seruest her goddis, which thing certis schal be to thee in to sclaundir.

۳۳ درزمین تو ساکن نشوند، مبادا تو را بر من عاصی گردانند و خدایان ایشان را عبادت کنی و دامی برای تو باشد.»
