Exodus 13
1 Also the Lord spak to Moises, and seide,
૧પછી યહોવાહે મૂસાને કહ્યું,
2 Halewe thou to me ech firste gendrid thing that openeth the wombe among the sones of Israel, as wel of men as of beestis, for whi alle ben myn.
૨“તમામ ઇઝરાયલીઓએ પોતાના બધા જ પ્રથમજનિતને પવિત્ર કરવા. પરિવારમાં પ્રથમ જન્મેલા પુરુષને તથા પશુને મારે માટે પવિત્ર કરવા; તેઓ મારા છે.”
3 And Moises seide to the puple, Haue ye mynde of this dai, in which ye yeden out of Egipt, and of the hows of seruage, for in strong hond the Lord ledde you out of this place, that ye ete not breed diyt with sour dow.
૩મૂસાએ લોકોને કહ્યું, “જે દિવસે તમે મિસરમાંથી એટલે ગુલામીના ઘરમાંથી બહાર આવ્યા તે દિવસને તમે યાદ રાખજો, યહોવાહ પોતાના પરાક્રમ વડે તમને બહાર લાવ્યા છે. તેથી તમારે ખમીરવાળી રોટલી ખાવી નહિ.
4 To dai ye gon out, in the monethe of new fruytis;
૪આબીબ માસના આ દિવસે તમે બહાર આવ્યા છો.
5 and whanne the Lord hath led thee in to the lond of Cananey, and of Ethei, and of Amorrei, and of Euei, and of Jebusei, which lond he swoor to thi fadris, that he schulde yyue to thee, a lond flowynge with mylk and hony, thou schalt halowe this custom of holy thingis in this monethe.
૫અને તમારા પિતૃઓને આપેલા વચન પ્રમાણે યહોવાહ તમને દૂધ તથા મધથી રેલછેલવાળો એવા કનાનીઓ, હિત્તીઓ, અમોરીઓ, હિવ્વીઓ અને યબૂસીઓના દેશમાં લઈ જાય ત્યારે તમારે આ પ્રમાણે ભજન કરવું.”
6 In seuene daies thou schalt ete therf looues, and the solempnete of the Lord schal be in the seuenthe dai;
૬“સાત દિવસ સુધી તમારે ખમીર વગરની રોટલી ખાવી. સાતમે દિવસે ઈશ્વરનું આ પર્વ પાળવું.”
7 ye schulen ete therf looues seuene daies, no thing diyt with sour dow schal appere at thee, nether in alle thi coostis.
૭એ સાત દિવસ સુધી બેખમીરી રોટલી ખાવી. તમારા આખા પ્રદેશમાં ક્યાંય પણ ખમીરવાળી રોટલી હોવી જોઈએ નહિ.
8 And thou schalt telle to thi sone in that dai, and schalt seie, This it is that the Lord dide to me, whanne Y yede out of Egipt.
૮તે દિવસે તમારે તમારાં બાળકોને કહેવું કે, ‘ઈશ્વર અમને મિસરમાંથી બહાર લાવ્યા ત્યારે યહોવાહે અમારા માટે જે કર્યુ હતું, તે માટે આ પર્વ પાળવામાં આવે છે.’
9 And it schal be as a signe in thin hond, and as a memorial before thin iyen, and that the lawe of the Lord be euere in thi mouth; for in a strong hond the Lord ledde thee out of Egipt, and of the hows of seruage.
૯“આ પર્વનું પાલન તમારા હાથ પર અને તમારી આંખો વચ્ચે કપાળ પર યાદગીરીના સૂચક ચિહ્ન જેવું રહેશે. તે તમને યાદ રખાવશે તમારા મુખમાં યહોવાહનાં વચનો રહે. કેમ કે યહોવાહ તમને સામર્થ્યવાન હાથથી મિસરમાંથી બહાર લઈ આવ્યા છે.
10 Thou schalt kepe siche a worschipyng in tyme ordeined, `fro daies in to daies.
૧૦એટલા માટે તમારે આ પર્વ દર વર્ષે નિયત સમયે પાળવું અને ઊજવવું.”
11 And whanne the Lord hath brouyt thee in to the lond of Cananey, as he swoor to thee, and to thi fadris, and hath youe it to thee,
૧૧“યહોવાહ તમને અને તમારા પૂર્વજોને આપેલા વચન પ્રમાણે તમને કનાનીઓના દેશમાં લઈ જાય અને તે દેશ તમને આપે,
12 thou schalt departe to the Lord al the thing that openeth the wombe, and that that is the firste in thi beestis; what euer thing thou hast of male kynde, thou schalt halewe to the Lord.
૧૨ત્યારે તમારા સર્વ પ્રથમજનિતોને તથા સર્વ પશુઓનાં પ્રથમજનિતોને તમારે યહોવાહ ને માટે સમર્પિત કરવા જેથી તમામ નર પ્રથમજનિતો યહોવાહના થાય.
13 Thou schalt chaunge the firste gendrid of an asse for a scheep, that if thou ayen biest not, thou schalt sle; forsothe thou schalt ayen bie with prijs al the firste gendrid of man of thi sones.
૧૩પ્રત્યેક ગધેડાના પ્રથમ બચ્ચાંને તેને બદલે એક હલવાન અર્પણ કરીને, યહોવાહ પાસેથી તે પાછું મેળવવું. અને જો તેને મેળવવાની કે છોડાવવાની તમારી મરજી ના હોય તો તેની ગરદન તમારે ભાંગી નાખવી. વળી તમારા પુત્રોમાંના સર્વ પ્રથમજનિતોને પણ તારે મૂલ્ય આપીને છોડાવવા.”
14 And whanne thi sone schal axe thee to morewe, and seie, What is this? thou schalt answere to hym, In a strong hond the Lord ladde vs out of the lond of Egipt, of the hows of seruage; for whanne Farao was maad hard,
૧૪“ભવિષ્યમાં તમારાં બાળકો તમને પૂછે કે, ‘આનો અર્થ શો છે?’ ત્યારે તમે કહેજો કે, ‘યહોવાહ પોતાના હાથનાં સામર્થ્ય વડે અમને મિસરમાંથી, ગુલામીના દેશમાંથી બહાર લાવ્યા હતા.
15 and nolde delyuere vs, the Lord killide alle the firste gendrid thing in the lond of Egipt, fro the firste gendrid of man til to the firste gendrid of beestis; therfor Y offre to the Lord al thing of male kynde that openeth the wombe, and Y ayen bie alle the firste gendrid thingis of my sones.
૧૫ફારુન હઠે ચડયો હતો, તેથી તે અમને બહાર જવા દેતો ન હતો. ત્યારે યહોવાહે મિસર દેશના બધા પ્રથમજનિતને એટલે પ્રથમજનિત પુરુષોનો તથા પ્રથમજનિત નર જાનવરોનો સંહાર કર્યો હતો. તેથી પ્રથમજનિત સર્વ નર પશુઓને અમે યહોવાહને અર્પણ કરીએ છીએ, પણ અમારા પુત્રોમાંના અર્પણ કરેલા સર્વ પ્રથમજનિતોને અમે મૂલ્ય ચૂકવીને છોડાવીએ છીએ.’
16 Therfor it schal be as a signe in thin hond, and as a thing hangid for mynde bifore thin iyen, for in a strong hond the Lord ledde vs out of Egipt.
૧૬અને એ વિધિ તમારા હાથ પર ચિહ્નરૂપ તથા તમારી આંખોની વચ્ચે કપાળ પર ચાંદરૂપ બની રહેશે; કારણ કે યહોવાહ આપણને પોતાના પરાક્રમી હાથથી મિસરની બહાર લઈ આવ્યા હતા. એની આ સ્મૃતિ બની છે.”
17 Therfor whanne Farao hadde sent out the puple, God ledde not hem out bi the weie of `the lond of Filisteis, which is niy; and arettid lest perauenture it wolde repente the puple, if he had seyn batelis rise ayens hym, and `the puple wolde turn ayen in to Egipt;
૧૭જ્યારે ફારુને લોકોને જવા દીઘા ત્યારે એમ બન્યું કે પલિસ્તીઓના દેશમાં થઈને જવાનો રસ્તો ટૂંકો હોવા છતાં પણ તે રસ્તે તેઓને લઈ ગયા નહિ. કેમ કે યહોવાહે વિચાર્યું કે, “રખેને યુદ્ધ થાય અને લોકો પોતાનો વિચાર બદલી પાછા મિસર ચાલ્યા જાય.”
18 but God ledde aboute by the weie of deseert, which weie is bisidis the reed see. And the sones of Israel weren armed, and stieden fro the lond of Egipte.
૧૮એટલે યહોવાહ તેઓને બીજે રસ્તે થઈને એટલે રાતા સમુદ્ર પાસેના અરણ્યના રસ્તે તેઓને લઈ ગયા. ઇઝરાયલપુત્રો શસ્ત્રસજજ થઈને મિસરમાંથી બહાર આવ્યા હતા.
19 And Moises took the boonus of Joseph with hym, for he hadde chargid the sones of Israel, and hadde seid, God schal visite you, and bere ye out `fro hennus my boonus with you.
૧૯મૂસાએ યૂસફનાં અસ્થિ સાથે લઈ લીધાં હતાં. કેમ કે યૂસફે ઇઝરાયલપુત્રોને સોગન દઈને કહ્યું હતું કે, “યહોવાહ જરૂર તમારી મદદે આવશે, તમને અહીંથી છોડાવશે. ત્યારે તમે વિદાય થાઓ તે વખતે તમે મારાં અસ્થિ અહીંથી લઈ જજો.”
20 And thei yeden forth fro Socoth, and settiden tentis in Etham, in the laste endis of wildirnesse.
૨૦પછી ઇઝરાયલીઓએ સુક્કોથથી પ્રયાણ કરીને અને એથામમાં અરણ્યની સરહદ પર મુકામ કર્યો.
21 Forsothe the Lord yede bifore hem to schewe the weie, bi dai in a piler of clowde, and bi nyyt in a piler of fier, that he schulde be ledere of the weie in euer either time;
૨૧દિવસે તેઓને રસ્તો બતાવવા માટે યહોવાહ મેઘસ્તંભમાં તેમ જ રાત્રે તેમને પ્રકાશ મળે તેથી અગ્નિસ્તંભમાં તેઓની આગળ ચાલતા હતા.
22 the piler of clowde failide neuere bi dai, nether the piler of fier bi niyt, bifor the puple.
૨૨દિવસે મેઘસ્તંભ અને રાત્રે અગ્નિસ્તંભ તેઓની આગળથી જરા પણ ખસતા ન હતા, યહોવાહ સતત તેઓની સાથે રહેતા હતા.
