1 Achaz was of twenti yeer, whanne he bigan to regne, and he regnede sixtene yeer in Jerusalem; he dide not riytfulnesse in the siyt of the Lord, as Dauid, his fadir, dide;
Naʻe uofulu taʻu ʻae motuʻa ʻo ʻAhasi ʻi heʻene kamata ʻene pule, pea naʻe pule ia ʻi he taʻu ʻe hongofulu ma tolu ʻi Selūsalema: ka naʻe ʻikai fai ʻe ia ʻaia naʻe lelei ʻi he ʻao ʻo Sihova, ʻo hangē ko Tevita ko ʻene tamai:
2 but he yede in the weies of the kyngis of Israel. Ferthermore and he yetyde ymagis to Baalym.
He naʻe ʻalu ia ʻi he ngaahi hala ʻoe ngaahi tuʻi ʻo ʻIsileli, pea naʻa ne ngaohi ʻae ngaahi meʻa fakatātā haka kia Peali.
3 He it is that brente encense in the valey of Beennon, and purgide hise sones bi fier bi the custom of hethene men, whiche the Lord killide in the comyng of the sones of Israel.
Pea ne tutu foki ʻae meʻa namu kakala ʻi he teleʻa ʻoe foha ʻo Henomi, pea ne tutu ʻene fānau ʻi he afi ʻo fakatatau ki he meʻa kovi ʻae ngaahi hiteni ʻaia naʻe kapusi kituʻa ʻe Sihova mei he ʻao ʻae fānau ʻa ʻIsileli.
4 Also he made sacrifice, and brente encense in hiy places, and in hillis, and vndur ech tree ful of bowis.
Naʻa ne feilaulau foki mo tutu ʻae meʻa namu kakala ʻi he ngaahi potu māʻolunga, pea ki he ngaahi tafungofunga, pea ʻi he lolo ʻakau mata kotoa pē.
5 And `his Lord God bitook hym in the hond of the kyng of Sirie, which smoot Achaz, and took a greet preie of his empire, and brouyten in to Damask. Also Achaz was bitakun to the hondis of the kyng of Israel, and was smytun with a greet wounde.
Ko ia naʻe fakatukutukuʻi ia ʻe Sihova ko hono ʻOtua ki he nima ʻoe tuʻi ʻo Silia: pea naʻa nau taaʻi ia, ʻonau fetuku pōpula honau tokolahi ki Tamasikusi. Pea naʻe tukuange ia ki he nima ʻoe tuʻi ʻo ʻIsileli foki, ʻaia naʻa ne taaʻi ia ʻaki ʻae tāmateʻi lahi.
6 And Facee, the sone of Romelie, killide of Juda sixe scoore thousynde in o dai, alle the men werriours; for thei hadden forsake the Lord God of her fadris.
He naʻe tāmateʻi ʻe Peka ko e foha ʻo Limalia ʻi Siuta ʻi he ʻaho pe taha ʻae tokotaha kilu mo e toko ua mano, ʻaia ko e kau tangata toʻa kotoa pē; ko e meʻa ʻi heʻenau liʻaki ʻa Sihova ko e ʻOtua ʻo ʻenau ngaahi tamai.
7 In the same tyme Zechry, a myyti man of Effraym, killide Maasie, the sone of Rogloth, the kyng; and `he killide Ezrica, the duyk of his hows, and Elcana, the secounde fro the kyng.
Pea naʻe tāmateʻi ai ʻe Sikili, ko e tangata mālohi ʻo ʻIfalemi, ʻa Māseia ko e foha ʻoe tuʻi, mo ʻAsilikami ko e pule ʻoe fale, mo ʻElikena ʻaia naʻe hoko mo e tuʻi.
8 And the sones of Israel token of her britheren two hundrid thousynde of wymmen and of children and of damysels, and prey with out noumbre; and baren it in to Samarie.
Pea naʻe fetuku fakapōpula ʻe he fānau ʻa ʻIsileli ʻi honau ngaahi kāinga ʻae toko ua kilu, ko e kau fefine, mo e fānau tangata, mo e fānau fefine, pea ʻave foki mo e koloa lahi ʻaupito ʻiate kinautolu, pea naʻe ʻomi ʻae koloa ki Samēlia.
9 In that tempest a profete of the Lord, Obed bi name, was there, which yede out ayens the oost comynge in to Samarie, and seide to hem, Lo! the Lord God of youre fadris was wrooth ayens Juda, and bitook hem in youre hondis; and ye han slayn hem crueli, so that youre cruelte stretchide forth in to heuene.
Ka naʻe ʻi ai ʻae palōfita ʻa Sihova ko Oteti hono hingoa: pea naʻe ʻalu kituʻa ia ki he ʻao ʻoe tau naʻe haʻu ki Samēlia, ʻo ne pehē kiate kinautolu, “Vakai, ko e meʻa ʻi he houhau ʻa Sihova ko e ʻOtua ʻo hoʻomou ngaahi tamai ki Siuta, kuo ne tuku ʻakinautolu ki homou nima, pea kuo mou tāmateʻi ʻakinautolu ʻi he lili kuo aʻu hake ki langi.
10 Ferthermore ye wolen make suget to you the sones of Juda and of Jerusalem in to seruauntis and handmaidis; which thing is not nedeful to be doon; for ye han synned on this thing to `youre Lord God.
Pea ko eni ʻoku mou loto ke fakamoʻulaloa ʻae fānau ʻa Siuta mo Selūsalema ko e kau tangata pōpula, mo e kau fefine pōpula kiate kimoutolu: ka ʻikai ʻoku ʻiate kimoutolu, ʻio, ʻiate kimoutolu, ʻae ngaahi angahala kia Sihova ko homou ʻOtua?
11 But here ye my councel, and lede ayen the prisounneris, whyche ye han brouyt of youre britheren; for greet veniaunce of the Lord neiyith to you.
Pea ko ia mou tokanga mai kiate au, pea mou tukuange ʻae kau pōpula, ʻaia kuo mou maʻu fakapōpula ʻi homou ngaahi kāinga: he ʻoku ʻiate kimoutolu ʻae houhau lahi ʻa Sihova.”
12 Therfor men of the princes of the sones of Effraym, Azarie, the sone of Johannan, Barachie, the sone of Mosollamoth, Jesechie, the sone of Sellum, and Amasie, the sone of Adali, stoden ayens hem that camen fro the batel;
Pea naʻe toki tuʻu hake ai ʻae niʻihi ʻi he kau tuʻukimuʻa ʻoe fānau ʻa ʻIfalemi ko ʻAsalia ko e foha ʻo Sohanani mo Pelakia ko e foha ʻo Misilimoti, mo Sesikia ko e foha ʻo Salumi, mo ʻAmasa ko e foha ʻo Hatilai, ke taʻofi ʻakinautolu kuo haʻu mei he tau.
13 and seiden to hem, Ye schulen not brynge in hidur the prisoneris, lest we doen synne ayens the Lord; whi wolen ye `ley to on youre synnes, and heepe elde trespassis? For it is greet synne; the ire of the strong veniaunce of the Lord neiyeth on Israel.
‌ʻO [nau ]pehē kiate kinautolu, “ʻOua te mou ʻomi ʻae kau pōpula ki heni: he kuo mau fakahouhau kia Sihova, pea ʻoku mou loto ke fakalahi ki heʻemau ngaahi angahala pea ki heʻemau ngaahi kovi: he ʻoku lahi ʻaupito ʻemau fai hala, pea ʻoku houhauʻia lahi ʻaupito ʻa ʻIsileli.”
14 And the men werriouris leften the prey, and alle thingis whiche thei hadden take, bifor the princes and al the multitude.
Ko ia naʻe tuku ai ʻe he kau tangata toʻo mahafutau ʻae kakai pōpula mo e vete ʻi he ʻao ʻoe houʻeiki mo e kakai kotoa kuo fakataha.
15 And the men stoden, whiche we remembriden bifore, and thei token the prisounneris, and clothiden of the spuylis alle that weren nakid; and whanne thei hadden clothid hem, and hadden schod, and hadden refreschid with mete and drynke, and hadden anoyntid for trauel, and hadden youe cure, `ether medecyn, to hem; `thei puttiden hem on horsis, whiche euere `myyten not go, and weren feble `of bodi, and brouyten to Jerico, a citee of palmes, to `the britheren of hem; and thei turneden ayen in to Samarie.
Pea naʻe tuʻu hake ʻae kau tangata ʻaia naʻe lau honau hingoa, ʻo ʻave ʻae kakai pōpula, pea fakakofuʻaki ʻae vete ʻakinautolu kotoa pē naʻe telefua ʻiate kinautolu, pea naʻa nau teuʻi mo fakatopuvaʻe ʻakinautolu, pea tufa kiate kinautolu ʻae meʻakai mo e inu, pea tākai ʻakinautolu pea fakaheka ʻakinautolu kotoa pē naʻe vaivai ki he fanga ʻasi, pea [nau ]ʻomi ʻakinautolu ki honau ngaahi kāinga ki Seliko, ko e kolo ʻae ʻakau ko e ponga: pea naʻa nau toki liu mai ki Samēlia.
16 In that tyme kyng Achaz sente to the kyng of Assiriens, and axide help.
Pea naʻe fekau ʻe he tuʻi ko ʻAhasi ʻi he kuonga ko ia ki he ngaahi tuʻi ʻo ʻAsilia ke nau tokoni ia,
17 And Ydumeis camen, and killiden many men of Juda, and token greet prey.
He naʻe toe haʻu ʻae kakai ʻItomi ʻo teʻia ʻa Siuta, pea fetuku ʻo ʻave ʻae ngaahi pōpula.
18 Also Filisteis weren spred abrood bi citees of the feeldis, and at the south of Juda; and thei token Bethsames, and Hailon, and Gaderoth, and Socoth, and Thannan, and Zamro, with her villagis; and dwelliden in tho.
Pea ko e kakai Filisitia foki naʻa nau haʻu ʻo tauʻi ʻae ngaahi kolo ʻoe fonua ʻi lalo, mo e potu tonga ʻo Siuta, pea kuo nau lavaʻi ʻa Pete-Semesi, mo ʻAsaloni, mo Kiteloti, mo Soko fakataha mo e ngaahi potu kakai ʻo ia, mo Timinate mo hono ngaahi potu kakai ʻo ia, mo Kimiso foki mo hono ngaahi potu kakai ʻo ia: pea naʻa nau nonofo ai.
19 For the Lord made low Juda for Achaz, the kyng of Juda; for he hadde maad him nakid of help, and hadde dispisid the Lord.
He naʻe fakavaivai hifo ʻe Sihova ʻa Siuta ko e meʻa ia ʻAhasi ko e tuʻi ʻo ʻIsileli: he naʻa ne fakatelefua ʻa Siuta, pea fai talangataʻa ʻaupito kia Sihova.
20 And the Lord brouyte ayens him Teglat Phalasar, kyng of Assiriens, that turmentide hym, and waastide hym, while no man ayenstood.
Pea naʻe haʻu kiate ia ʻa Tilikati-Pilinesa ko e tuʻi ʻo ʻAsilia, ʻo ne fakamamahi ia, ka naʻe ʻikai te ne tokoni ia.
21 Therfor Achaz, after that he hadde spuylid the hows of the Lord, and the hows of the kyng and of princes, yaf yiftis to the kyng of Assiriens, and netheles it profitide `no thing to hym.
He naʻe toʻo ʻo ʻave ʻe ʻAhasi ʻae ʻinasi mei he fale ʻo Sihova, pea mei he fale ʻoe tuʻi, pea ʻoe houʻeiki, pea foaki ia ki he tuʻi ʻo ʻAsilia: ka naʻe ʻikai te ne tokoni ia.
22 Ferthermore also in the tyme of his angwisch he encreesside dispit ayens God; thilke kyng Achaz bi
Pea ʻi he ngaahi ʻaho ʻo ʻene mamahi naʻa ne fakalahi ki heʻene angahala kia Sihova: ʻae tuʻi ko eni ko ʻAhasi.
23 hym silf offride sacrifices to the goddis of Damask, hise smyteris, and seide, The goddis of the kyngis of Sirie helpen hem, whiche goddis Y schal plese bi sacrifices, and thei schulen help me; whanne ayenward thei weren fallyng to hym, and to al Israel.
He naʻa ne feilaulau ki he ngaahi ʻotua ʻo Tamasikusi, ʻaia naʻe taaʻi ia: ʻo ne pehē, “Ko e meʻa ʻi he tokoni ʻakinautolu ʻi he ngaahi ʻotua ʻoe ngaahi tui ʻo Silia, ko ia te u feilaulau ai kiate kinautolu, koeʻuhi ke nau tokoni au. Ka ko hono malaʻiaʻanga ʻakinautolu, ʻoʻona mo ʻIsileli kotoa pē.”
24 Therfor aftir that Achaz hadde take awei, and broke alle the vessels of the hows of God, he closide the yatis of Goddis temple, and made auteris to hym silf in alle the corneris of Jerusalem.
Pea naʻe tānaki fakataha ʻe ʻAhasi ʻae ngaahi nāunau ʻoe fale ʻoe ʻOtua, ʻo ne tuʻutuʻu ke fakaikiiki ʻae ngaahi ipu ʻoe fale ʻoe ʻOtua, pea naʻe tāpuni ʻae ngaahi matapā ʻoe fale ʻo Sihova, pea ne fokotuʻu ʻae ngaahi feilaulauʻanga ʻi he ngaahi tuliki kotoa pē ʻo Selūsalema.
25 And in alle citees of Juda he bildide auteris to brenne encence, and he stiride the Lord God of hise fadris to wrathfulnesse.
Pea ne ngaohi ʻi he ngaahi kolo kehekehe ʻo Siuta ʻae ngaahi potu māʻolunga ke tutu ai ʻae meʻa namu kakala ki he ngaahi ʻotua kehe, pea naʻa ne fakatupu ʻae houhau lahi ʻa Sihova ko e ʻOtua ʻo ʻene ngaahi tamai.
26 Sotheli the residue of hise wordis and of alle hise werkis, the formere and the laste, ben writun in the book of kyngis of Juda and of Israel.
Pea ko eni ko hono toe ʻo ʻene ngāue mo hono ngaahi hala kotoa pē, ko e ʻuluaki mo e ki mui, vakai, kuo tohi ia ʻi he tohi ʻoe ngaahi tuʻi ʻo Siuta mo ʻIsileli.
27 And Achaz slepte with hise fadris, and thei birieden hym in the citee of Jerusalem; for thei resseyueden not hym in the sepulcris of the kyngis of Israel; and Ezechie, his sone, regnede for hym.
Pea naʻe mohe ʻa ʻAhasi mo ʻene ngaahi tamai, pea naʻa nau tanu ia ʻi he kolo, ʻio, ʻi Selūsalema: ka naʻe ʻikai te nau ʻomi ia ki he ngaahi tanuʻanga ʻoe ngaahi tuʻi ʻo ʻIsileli: pea naʻe fetongi ia ʻi he pule ʻe Hesekaia ko hono foha.
