which none of the rulers of this age knew; for if they had known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. (aiōn )
This philosophy is clearly not known to any of the leaders of today, since, had they known it, they would never have crucified our glorious Lord! (aiōn )
Let no one deceive himself: if any among you seem to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be truly wise. (aiōn )
Let no one deceive himself. If any one among you imagines that, as regards this world, they are wise, they should become a “fool,” that they may become wise. (aiōn )
wherefore if meat make my brother to offend, I will never eat flesh while I breathe, least I make my brother to offend. (aiōn )
Therefore, if what I eat makes a follower of the Lord fall, rather than make them fall, I will never eat meat again. (aiōn )
Now all these things happened to them as examples: and are written for our admonition, on whom the last ages are come. (aiōn )
These things happened to them by way of warning, and were recorded to serve as a caution to us, in whose days the close of the ages has come. (aiōn )
O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? (Hadēs )
“death has been swallowed up in victory! Where, Death, is your victory? Where, death, is your sting?” (Hadēs )
among whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of the unbelieving, so that the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, doth not shine unto them: (aiōn )
people whose minds have been blinded by the God of this age, unbelievers as they are, so that the light from the good news of the glory of the Christ, who is the incarnation of God, should not shine for them. (aiōn )
For our short and light affliction is working out for us an infinite and eternal weight of glory, as we aim not at the things which are visible, but invisible: (aiōnios )
The light burden of our momentary trouble is preparing for us a weight of imperishable glory, beyond all measure. (aiōnios )
for those, which are visible, are temporary, but the invisible are eternal. (aiōnios )
We, all the while, gaze not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is transient, but what is unseen is imperishable. (aiōnios )
For we know that if our earthly house, which is but as a tent, were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. (aiōnios )
For we know that if our tent – that earthly body which is now our home – is taken down, we have a house of God’s building, a home not made by hands, imperishable, in heaven. (aiōnios )
(as it is written, "He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor, his righteousness continueth for ever." (aiōn )
(As scripture says – “He shared freely, he gave to the poor; his righteousness continues for ever.” (aiōn )
And the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is blessed for ever, knoweth that I lye not. (aiōn )
The God and Father of the Lord Jesus – he who is for ever blessed – knows that I am speaking the truth. (aiōn )
who gave himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from the present evil world, according to the will of our God and Father: (aiōn )
For Christ, to rescue us from this present wicked age, gave himself for our sins, in accordance with the will of our God and Father, (aiōn )
to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn )
to whom be ascribed all glory for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn )
He then, who soweth to his flesh, shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he, that soweth to the Spirit, shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. (aiōnios )
For the person who sows the field of their earthly nature will from that earthly nature reap corruption; while the one who sows the field of the spirit will from that spirit reap eternal life. (aiōnios )
far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: (aiōn )
and above every name that can be named, whether in the present age, or in the age to come. (aiōn )
in which ye formerly walked after the manner of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that still operates in the children of disobedience: (aiōn )
For at one time you lived in sin, following the ways of the world, in subjection to the Ruler of the powers of the air – the Spirit who is still at work among the disobedient. (aiōn )
That in the ages to come He might shew the superabundant riches of his grace, in his kindness towards us through Christ Jesus. (aiōn )
in order that, by his goodness to us in Christ Jesus, he might display in the ages to come the boundless wealth of his loving kindness. (aiōn )
and make all men to see the communication of the mystery, which from the ages past hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ; (aiōn )
and to make clear what is God’s way of working out that hidden purpose which from the first has been concealed in the mind of the Creator of all things; (aiōn )
according to the ancient purpose, which He executed in Christ Jesus our Lord: (aiōn )
in accordance with that purpose which runs through all the ages and which he has now accomplished in Jesus, the Christ, our Master. (aiōn )
to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus, throughout all the generations of eternal ages. Amen. (aiōn )
to him be all glory through the church and through Christ Jesus, for all generations, age after age. Amen. (aiōn )
For our conflict is not with flesh and blood only, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the world and of the darkness of this age, against wicked spirits in heavenly places. (aiōn )
For ours is no struggle against enemies of flesh and blood, but against all the various powers of evil that hold sway in the darkness around us, against the spirits of wickedness on high. (aiōn )
Now to our God and Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn )
To him, our God and Father, be ascribed all glory for every and ever. Amen. (aiōn )
even that mystery which was hid from former ages and generations, but is now manifested to his saints: (aiōn )
that truth which has been hidden from former ages and generations. But now it has been revealed to God’s people, (aiōn )
who shall be punished with everlasting destruction, by the presence of the Lord and by his glorious power: (aiōnios )
They will pay the penalty of unutterable ruin – banished from the presence of the Lord and from the glorious manifestation of his might, (aiōnios )
And may our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and our God and Father, who hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation, and good hope through grace, comfort your hearts, (aiōnios )
And may our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father, who loved us and, in his loving kindness, gave us unfailing consolation and good ground for hope, (aiōnios )
But for this end I obtained mercy, that in me a chief sinner Jesus Christ might display his long-suffering, for an example to those who should afterwards believe on Him to eternal life. (aiōnios )
Yet mercy was shown me for the express purpose that Christ Jesus might exhibit in my case, beyond all others, his exhaustless patience, as an example for those who were afterwards to believe on him and attain eternal life. (aiōnios )
Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn )
To the eternal King, ever-living, invisible, the one God, be ascribed honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn )
Maintain the glorious combat of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which thou hast been called, and hast made a good profession before many witnesses. (aiōnios )
Run the great race of the faith, and win the eternal life. It was for this that you received the call, and, in the presence of many witnesses, made the great profession of faith. (aiōnios )
who alone hath immortality, dwelling in light inaccessible, whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honor and power everlasting. Amen. (aiōnios )
who alone is possessed of immortality and dwells in unapproachable light, whom no one has ever seen or ever can see – to whom be ascribed honour and power for ever. Amen. (aiōnios )
Charge them, that are rich in this world, not to be high-minded nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who richly affords us all things for enjoyment: charge them to do good, (aiōn )
Teach those who are wealthy in this life not to pride themselves, or fix their hopes, on so uncertain a thing as wealth, but on God, who gives us a wealth of enjoyment on every side. (aiōn )
who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose, and grace bestowed upon us through Christ Jesus, before the world was, (aiōnios )
It was God who saved us, and from him we received our solemn call – not as a reward for anything that we had done, but in fulfilment of his own loving purpose. For that love was extended to us, through Christ Jesus, before time began, (aiōnios )
Therefore I submit to every thing for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain the salvation which is by Christ Jesus, with eternal glory. (aiōnios )
and that is why I submit to anything for the sake of God’s people: so that they also may obtain the salvation which comes from union with Christ Jesus, and imperishable glory. (aiōnios )
through love of this world, and is gone to Thessalonica; as is Crescens to Galatia, and Titus to Dalmatia: Luke only is with me. (aiōn )
for Demas, in his love for the world, has deserted me. He has gone to Thessalonica, Crescens to Galatia, and Titus to Dalmatia. (aiōn )
And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me to his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory throughout all ages. Amen. (aiōn )
The Lord will rescue me from all evil, and bring me safe into his Heavenly kingdom. All glory to him for ever and ever! Amen. (aiōn )
in hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised before all ages; (aiōnios )
– and is based on the hope of eternal life, which God, who never lies, promised before the ages began, (aiōnios )
teaching us that denying ungodliness, and worldly desires, we should live soberly, and righteously, and piously in this present world; (aiōn )
leading us to renounce ungodliness and worldly desires, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives here in this present age, (aiōn )
that being justified by his grace, we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life. (aiōnios )
so that, having been put right with God through his grace, we become heirs to the hope of eternal life. (aiōnios )
For perhaps he was therefore parted from thee for a season, that thou mightest receive him for ever: (aiōnios )
It may be that he was separated from you for an hour, for this reason, so that you might have him back for ever, (aiōnios )
whom He hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also He made the worlds. (aiōn )
has in these latter days spoken to us by the Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe. (aiōn )
but to the Son, "Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever; the sceptre of thy kingdom is a sceptre of righteousness: (aiōn )
while of the Son he said – “God is your throne for ever and ever; the sceptre of his kingdom is the sceptre of Justice; (aiōn )
As He saith also in another place, "Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec." (aiōn )
and on another occasion also – “You are a priest for all time of the order of Melchizedek.” (aiōn )
He became the author of eternal salvation to all that obey Him: (aiōnios )
and, being made perfect, he became to all those who obey him the source of eternal salvation, (aiōnios )
and of faith in God, of the doctrine of baptisms, and laying on of hands, and of the resurrection from the dead, and of eternal judgement: (tho' we will do this also, if God permit: ) (aiōnios )
teaching concerning baptisms and the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead and a final judgment. (aiōnios )
and of the good word of God, (aiōn )
and learned to appreciate the beauty of the divine message, and the new powers of the coming age – (aiōn )
Whither Jesus our fore-runner is entered for us, being made an high-priest for ever, after the order of Melchisedec. (aiōn )
where Jesus, our forerunner, has entered on our behalf, after being made for all time a high priest of the order of Melchizedek. (aiōn )
For He testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. (aiōn )
for that is the meaning of the declaration – “You are for all time a priest of the order of Melchizedek.” (aiōn )
(for they indeed are become priests without the solemnity of an oath; but He with an oath, by Him who said unto Him, "The Lord hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec:") (aiōn )
but his appointment was ratified by an oath, when God said to him – “The Lord has sworn, and will not change, ‘You are a priest for all time.’” (aiōn )
but He, because He abideth for ever, hath a priesthood that passeth not to any other: (aiōn )
but Jesus remains for all time, and therefore the priesthood that he holds will never pass to another. (aiōn )
For the law appointeth men high-priests, who have infirmity; but the oath, recorded since the law, appointeth the Son to be priest for ever, being fully perfected for it. (aiōn )
The Law appoints as high priests men who are weak, but the words of God’s oath, which was later than the Law, name the Son as, for all time, the perfect priest. (aiōn )
nor by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood, having obtained eternal redemption for us. (aiōnios )
Nor was it with the blood of goats and calves, but with his own blood, that he entered, once and for all, into the sanctuary, and obtained our eternal deliverance. (aiōnios )
how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself spotless to God, purify your conscience from dead works, that ye may serve the living God? (aiōnios )
how much more will the blood of the Christ, who, through his eternal Spirit, offered himself up to God, as a victim without blemish, purify our consciences from a lifeless formality, and fit us for the service of the living God! (aiōnios )
And on this account He is the mediator of a new covenant, that undergoing death for the redemption of transgressions against the first covenant, they that are called might receive the promise of an eternal inheritance. (aiōnios )
And that is why he is the intermediary of a new covenant; in order that, as a death has taken place to effect a deliverance from the offences committed under the first covenant, those who have received the call may obtain the eternal inheritance promised to them. (aiōnios )
(for then He must indeed have suffered often since the foundation of the world) but now once at the conclusion of the ages He hath been made manifest for the abolishing of sin by the sacrifice of himself. (aiōn )
for then Christ would have had to undergo death many times since the creation of the world. But now, once and for all, at the close of the age, he has appeared, in order to abolish sin by the sacrifice of himself. (aiōn )
By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, for the things which are seen were not made of things which appear. (aiōn )
Faith enables us to perceive that the universe was created at the bidding of God – so that we know that what we see was not made out of visible things. (aiōn )
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, to day, and for ever: (aiōn )
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today – yes, and for ever! (aiōn )
Now the God of peace, who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the everlasting covenant, (aiōnios )
May God, the source of all peace, who brought back from the dead him who, “by virtue of the blood that rendered valid the unchangeable covenant, is the great shepherd of God’s Sheep,” Jesus, our Lord – (aiōnios )
make you perfect in every good work, to do his will, working in you that which is well-pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn )
may God make you perfect in everything that is good, so that you may be able to do his will. May he bring out in us all that is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be all glory for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn )
And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our several parts, defiling the whole body, inflaming the course of nature, and is set on fire by hell. (Geenna )
And the tongue is like a spark. It is a world of unrighteousness among the parts of our body. It contaminates the whole body; it sets the whole course of our existence on fire, and is itself set on fire by the flames of Gehenna. (Geenna )
being regenerated not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God which liveth and abideth for ever. (aiōn )
since your new life has come, not from perishable, but imperishable, seed, through the message of the Everliving God. (aiōn )
but the word of the Lord abideth for ever. And this is the word which is preached to you in the gospel. (aiōn )
but the teaching of the Lord remains for ever.” And that is the teaching of the good news which has been told to you. (aiōn )
If any one speak, let it be as declaring the oracles of God: if any one minister, let it be as from the power which God affordeth him: that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn )
When anyone speaks, they should speak as one who is delivering the oracles of God. When anyone is endeavouring to serve others, they should do so in reliance on the strength which God supplies; so that in everything God may be honoured through Jesus Christ – to whom be ascribed all honour and might for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn )
But may the God of all grace, who hath called us to his eternal glory in Christ Jesus, after ye have suffered a little while, make you perfect, confirm, strengthen, and establish you. (aiōnios )
God, from whom all help comes, and who called you, by your union with Christ, into his eternal glory, will, when you have suffered for a little while, himself perfect, establish, strengthen you. (aiōnios )
To Him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn )
To him be ascribed dominion for ever. Amen. (aiōn )
For so an entrance shall be administered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. (aiōnios )
For in this way you will be given a triumphant admission into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. (aiōnios )
For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgement; and if He spared not the old world, (Tartaroō )
Remember, God did not spare angels when they sinned, but sent them down to Tartarus, and consigned them to caverns of darkness, to be kept under guard for judgment. (Tartaroō )
But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ: to Him be glory both now and for ever. Amen. (aiōn )
and advance in the love and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. All glory be to him now and for ever. (aiōn )
(for this Life was manifested, and we saw it; and we testify and declare unto you that eternal Life, which was with the Father, (aiōnios )
That life was made visible, and we have seen it. We bear our testimony to it, and tell you of that eternal life which was with the Father and was made visible to us. (aiōnios )
And the world passeth away, and the desire of it: but he, that doth the will of God, abideth for ever. (aiōn )
And the world, and all that it gratifies, is passing away, but they who do God’s will remain for ever. (aiōn )
And this is the promise which He hath promised us, even eternal life. (aiōnios )
And this is what he himself promised us – eternal life! (aiōnios )
Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him. (aiōnios )
The person who hates another is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life dwelling within them. (aiōnios )
And the testimony is this, that God hath given to us eternal life; and this life is in his Son. (aiōnios )
And this is that testimony: God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. (aiōnios )
These things have I written to you, who believe on the name of the son of God, that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may the more firmly believe on the name of the Son of God. (aiōnios )
I have written these things to you who believe in the name of God’s Son, so that you may know that you have eternal life. (aiōnios )
But we know that the son of God is come, and hath given us understanding, that we may know Him that is true, and we are in Him that is true, and in his son Jesus Christ: He is the true God, and eternal life. (aiōnios )
We also know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know the true God – and we are in him who is true, by being in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life. (aiōnios )
for the sake of the truth which dwelleth in us, and will be with us for ever: (aiōn )
We love you for the sake of the truth, which lives in us and will be with us forever. (aiōn )
and the angels that kept not their primitive state, but left their proper abode, hath He reserved in everlasting chains, under darkness, to the judgement of the great day: (aïdios )
and that even those angels, who did not keep to their appointed spheres, but left their proper homes, have been kept by him for the judgment of the great day in everlasting chains and black darkness. (aïdios )
as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them, in like manner with them committing lewdness, and going after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of perpetual fire. (aiōnios )
Like Sodom and Gomorrah and the towns near them, which gave themselves up to fornication, and fell into unnatural vice, these angels now stand out as a warning, undergoing, as they are, punishment in eternal fire. (aiōnios )
wandering stars, for whom blackness of darkness is reserved for ever. (aiōn )
they are wild sea waves, foaming with their own shame; they are “wandering stars,” for which the blackest darkness has been reserved for ever. (aiōn )
looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. (aiōnios )
and keep within the love of God, while waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, to bring you to eternal life. (aiōnios )
to the only wise God our Saviour be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and for ever. Amen. (aiōn )
to the one God, our Saviour, be ascribed, through Jesus Christ, our Lord, glory, majesty, power, and dominion, as it was before time began, is now, and will be for all time to come. Amen. (aiōn )
and hath made us kings and priests to his God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn )
and he made us a kingdom of priests in the service of God, his Father! – to him be ascribed glory and dominion for ever. Amen. (aiōn )
I am the first and the last, who live, though I was dead; and behold, I am alive for ever and ever, Amen, and have the keys of hades and of death. (aiōn , Hadēs )
the Everliving. I died, and I am alive for ever and ever. And I hold the keys of death and of Hades. (aiōn , Hadēs )
And when the animals give glory and honor and thanks to Him that sitteth on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever, (aiōn )
And, whenever these creatures give praise and honour and thanks to him who is seated on the throne, to him who lives for ever and ever, (aiōn )
the four and twenty elders fall down before Him that sitteth on the throne, and worship Him that liveth for ever and ever, (aiōn )
the twenty-four elders prostrate themselves before him who is seated on the throne, and worship him who lives for ever and ever, and throw down their crowns before the throne, saying – (aiōn )
And I heard every creature in heaven, and on earth, and under the earth, and on the sea, and all that are in them, saying, Blessing, and honor, and glory, and power be unto Him that sitteth upon the throne, and to the Lamb, for ever and ever. (aiōn )
And I heard every created thing in the air, and on the earth, and under the earth, and on the sea, and all that is in them crying – “To him who is seated on the throne and to the Lamb be ascribed all blessing, and honour, and praise, and dominion for ever and ever.” (aiōn )
And I saw, and behold a pale horse, and the name of him that sat upon it was Death, and Hades followed him: and power was given them to slay a fourth part of the earth, by sword, and by famine, and by pestilence, and by wild beasts. (Hadēs )
And in my vision I saw a grey horse. His rider’s name was Death, and Hades rode behind him; and power was given them over the fourth part of the earth, so that they might destroy with sword and famine and death, and by means of the wild Beasts of the earth. (Hadēs )
Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honor, and power, and strength be ascribed to our God for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn )
saying – “Amen. Blessing and praise, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might be ascribed to our God for ever and ever. Amen.” (aiōn )
And the fifth angel sounded his trumpet, and I saw a star fall from heaven to the earth: and the key of the bottomless pit was given to him. (Abyssos )
Then the fifth angel blew; and I saw a star that had fallen on the earth from the heavens, and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit. (Abyssos )
And he opened the bottomless pit: and there came up smoke out of the pit as the smoke of a great furnace, and the sun and the air were darkened by the smoke of the pit. (Abyssos )
He opened the bottomless pit, and from the pit rose a smoke like the smoke of a great furnace. The sun and the air grew dark because of the smoke from the pit. (Abyssos )
And they had a king over them, the angel of the bottomless pit; whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, and in the Greek tongue Apollyon. (Abyssos )
They have as their king the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name, in Hebrew, is “Abaddon,” while, in Greek, his name is “Apollyon” (the Destroyer). (Abyssos )
lifted up his hand to heaven, and sware by Him that liveth for ever, who created the heaven and the things therein, and the earth and the things that are in it, and the sea and the things therein, that there shall be time no longer: (aiōn )
and swore by him who lives for ever and ever, who created the heavens and all that is in them, and the earth and all that is in it, and the sea and all that is in it, that time should cease to be. (aiōn )
And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the abyss, will make war against them, and overcome them, and kill them. (Abyssos )
As soon as they have completed their testimony, the wild Beast that ascends from the bottomless pit will make war on them and conquer and kill them. (Abyssos )
And the seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of the world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Anointed, and He shall reign for ever and ever. (aiōn )
Then the seventh angel blew; and loud voices were heard in heaven saying – “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will reign for ever and ever.” (aiōn )
And I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel, to preach to those that dwell upon the earth, to every nation, and tribe, and tongue, (aiōnios )
Then I saw another angel, flying in mid-heaven. He had the good news, decreed from eternity, to announce to those who live on the earth – to men of every nation, and tribe, and language, and people; (aiōnios )
And the smoke of their torment ascendeth for ever and ever: and they have no rest, day and night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. (aiōn )
The smoke from their torture rises for ever and ever, and they have no rest day nor night – those who worship the Beast and its image, and all who are branded with its name.” (aiōn )
And one of the four living beings gave to the seven angels seven golden vials full of the wrath of God, who liveth for ever and ever. (aiōn )
One of the four creatures gave the seven angels seven golden bowls, filled with the wrath of God who lives for ever and ever. (aiōn )
The beast, which thou sawest, was, and is not; but will rise out of the abyss, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth (whose names are not written on the book of life from the foundation of the world) shall wonder, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is to be. (Abyssos )
The Beast that you saw was, but is not, and is about to rise out of the bottomless pit, and is on its way to destruction. Those who are living on earth will be amazed – those whose names have not been written in the book of life from the foundation of the world – when they see that the Beast was, but is not, and yet will come.” (Abyssos )
(and again they said, Alleluia: ) and her smoke ascendeth for ever and ever. (aiōn )
Again they cried – “Hallelujah!” And the smoke from her ruins rises for ever and ever. (aiōn )
And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet, who had wrought signs before him, by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast, and those who worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone. (Limnē Pyr )
The Beast was captured, and with him was taken the false prophet, who performed the marvels before the eyes of the Beast, with which he deceived those who had received the brand of the Beast and those who worshiped his image. Alive, they were thrown, both of them, into the lake of fire – of burning sulphur. (Limnē Pyr )
And I saw an angel come down from heaven, who had the key of the bottomless pit, and a great chain in his hand. (Abyssos )
Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, with the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. (Abyssos )
and cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he might deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years be finished: and then he must be loosed for a little time. (Abyssos )
He flung him into the bottomless pit and locked it, and set his seal on it; that he should not deceive the nations any more, until the thousand years were ended. After that he must be let loose for a while. (Abyssos )
And the devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and they shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. (aiōn , Limnē Pyr )
and the devil, their deceiver, was hurled into the lake of fire and sulphur, where the Beast and the false prophet already were, and they will be tortured day and night for ever and ever. (aiōn , Limnē Pyr )
