Luke 22
1 Now the feast of unleavened bread drew nigh, which is called the passover.

2 And the chief priests and scribes were consulting how they might put Him to death; for they were afraid of the people.

3 Then entred Satan into Judas who was surnamed Iscariot, one of the twelve.

4 And he went and conferred with the chief priests and the captains, how he might betray Him unto them.

5 And they were glad and agreed to give him money:
Bhohobhelili, ni kukubaliana kumpela hela.
6 and he accepted the terms, and sought an opportunity to betray Him unto them in the absence of the multitude.

7 The day of unleavened bread being come, on which the paschal-lamb was to be slain,

8 Jesus sent Peter and John, saying, Go and prepare the passover for us, that we may eat of it.

9 And they said unto Him, Where wouldst thou have us prepare it?

10 And He said unto them, Behold, when ye are come into the city, there shall meet you a man, carrying a pitcher of water, follow him into the house where he entreth:
Ajibili, “Mup'elekesiajhi, pamwibeta kujha mujhingili pa mjini, n'gosi jha ap'endili kibhegha kya masi ibeta kubhonana ni muenga. Mun'kesiajhi mu nyumba jhaibetakujhingila.
11 and say to the master of the house, Our Master inquireth by us, Where is the room, in which I may eat the passover with my disciples?
Kisha mun'jobhilayi bwana ghwa nyumba, “Mwalimu ikujobhela, “Kijhendaku kichumba kya bhahesya, mahali ambapo nibetakulya pasaka ni bhanafunzi bha nene?”
12 And he will shew you a large upper room set out; there make it ready.
Ibetakubhalasya kichumba kya kughorofa ambakyo kijhele tayari. Mubhombayi maandalizi omu.”
13 And they went and found as He had told them; and prepared the passover.
Hivyo bhakalota, ni kukolela khila khenu kya abhajobhili. Kisha bhaandele kyakulya kya Pasaka.
14 And when the hour was come, He sat down and the twelve apostles with Him.
Muda bho ufikili atamili ni bhala mitume.
15 And He said unto them, I have earnestly desired to eat of this passover with you before I suffer:
Kisha akabhajobhela, “Nijhe ni shauku mbaha kulya sikukuu ejhe jha Pasaka ni muenga kabla jha kutesibhwa kwa nene.
16 for I say unto you, that I will not eat of it any more, till it be accomplished in the kingdom of God.
Kwa ndabha nikabhajobhela, nibeta lepi kulya kabhele mpaka pajhibeta kutimisibhwa mu ufalme bhwa K'yara.”
17 And taking the cup He gave thanks and said, Take this and distribute it among yourselves.
Kisha Yesu akatola kikombi, na bhoamalili kushukuru, akajobha, “Mtolayi ekhe, na mgabhanayi jhomu kwa jhomu.
18 For I tell you, that I will not drink again of the fruit of the vine, till the kingdom of God shall come.
Kwandabha nikabhajobhela, nibeta lepi kunywa kabhele mzao bhwa mzabibu, mpaka ufalme bhwa K'yara pawibeta kuhida.”
19 And He took bread, and gave thanks and brake it, and gave it to them, saying, This is my body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of me:
Kisha akatola n'kate, na bhoamalili kushukuru akaumetula, ni kubhap'ela, akajobha, “Obho ndo mb'ele bhwa nene ambabho bhwibeta kupisibhwa kwa ndabha jha muenga. Mukhetayi naha kwa kunikhomboka nene.”
20 as also the cup after supper, saying, This cup represents the new covenant in my blood, which is shed for you.
Akatola kikombi mebhu baada jha kyakulya kyapakiru akajobha, “Kikombi ekhe ndo agano lipya mu damu jha nene ambayo jhibetakujhitika kwa ndabha jha muenga.
21 And yet behold, the hand of him that betrayeth me is at table with me:
Lakini mulangayi. Jhola jhaibeta kunisaliti ajhele pamonga ni nene pameza.
22 and the Son of man is going indeed as was determined; but wo to that man by whom He is betrayed.
Kwa mana Mwana ghwa Adamu kwa kweli ikwilotela kama kyaamulibhu. Lakini ole kwa munu jhola ambajhe kup'etela muene mwana ghwa Adamu asalitibhwayi!”
23 And they began to enquire among themselves, which of them it was that should do it.
Bhakajhanda kukotana bhena kwa bhene, niani miongoni mwa bhene ngaabhombili lijambo ele.
24 And there was also a dispute among them, which of them should be accounted the greatest:
Kisha ghakatokela mabishano kati jha bhene kujha niani jhaidhaniwa kujha mbaha kuliko bhoha.
25 but He said unto them, The kings of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those in authority are called benefactors.
Akabhajobhela, “Bhafalme bha bhanu bha mataifa bhajhe ni ubwana juu jha bhene, ni bhala mwenye mamlaka juu jha bhene ikutibhwa bhaheshimibhwa bhatawala.
26 But ye shall not do so: but let the greatest among you be as the younger; and he that presides as he that serveth.
Lakini jhilondeka lepi kabisa kujha naha kwa muenga. Bhadala jhiake, lekayi jhola ambajhe ndo mbaha kati jha muenga ajhe kama n'debe. Ni jhola ambajhe ndo wa muhimu sana ajhelayi kama jhaitumikila.
27 For which is greater, he that sitteth at table, or he that serveth? is not he that sitteth at table? but I am among you as one that serveth.
Kwa ndabha jholekhu mbaha, jhola jhaitama pameza au jhola jhaitumikila? Je sio jhola jha itama pameza? Ni nene nakona kama jhola jha itama itumikila.
28 Ye have continued with me in my temptations;
Lakini muenga ndo mujhendelili kujha ni nene mu majaribu ghangu.
29 and I appoint you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me:
Nikabhapela muenga ufalme, kama vile Dadi kyaanilili nene ufalme,
30 that ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit upon thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
Kwamba mubhwesiajhi ni kunywa pameza pa nene mu fiti fya enzi kuhukumula makabila kumi ni mabhele gha Israeli.
31 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you my disciples, that he may sift you as wheat:
Simoni, Simoni, manyajhi kujha, shetani asomili abhakebhajhi ili abhapetayi kama ngano.
32 but I have prayed for thee, that thy faith may not fail; and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.
Lakini nikus'omili, kujha imani jha jhobhi isishindwi. Baada jha kujha ukerebhwiki kabhele, bhaimarishajhi bhalongabhu.”
33 And he said unto Him, Lord, I am ready to go with thee both to prison and to death.
Petro akan'jobhela, “Bwana, nijhe tayari kulota ni bhebhe mu ligereza ni hata mu mauti.”
34 But He replied, I tell thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, before thou hast thrice denied that thou knowest me.
Yesu ajibili, “Nikujobhela, Petro, likongobhe libetalepi kubheka lelu, kabla ya kunibela mara tatu kujha unimanyili.”
35 And He said unto them, When I sent you forth without purse, or bag, or shoes, did ye want any thing? and they said, Nothing.
Kisha Yesu akabhajobhela, “Bhonibhapeliki muenga bila mfuku, kikapu kya fyakulya, au firatu, je mwap'ongokibhu ni kiki?” Bhakajibu “Lepi.”
36 Then said He unto them, But now let him, that hath a purse, take it, and his bag likewise; and let him that has no sword, sell his garment and buy one:
Kisha akabhajobhela, “Lakini henu, khila mwenye mfuku, na atolayi ni kikapu kya fyakulya. Jhola jha adulili upanga jhilondeka ahemelesiajhi Roho jha muene ahemelayi umonga.
37 for I tell you, that this which is written must yet be accomplished in me, "And He was numbered with transgressors," for the things foretold concerning me are near at an end.
Kwa ndabha nikabhajobhela, ghoha ambagho ghalambibhu kwa ndabha jha nene lazima ghatimilayi, 'Na atolibhu kama munu jha ivunja torati.' Kwa ndabha khela kya ketebiribhu kwa ndabha jha nene kutimisibhwa.”
38 And they said, Lord, behold here are two swords. And He said unto them, It is enough.
Kisha bhakajobha, “Bwana, langayi! Ese apa panga sibhele.” Na abhajobhili “sitosya.”
39 And He came out and went, as He used to do, to the mount of Olives; and his disciples also followed Him.
Baada jha kyakulya kya pakilu, Yesu abhokili, kama kyaajobhili mara kwa mara, akalota pa kidonda kya Mizeituni ni bhanafunzi bhakarikesya.
40 And when He was at the place, He said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation.
Bho bhafikili abhajobhili, “Musokayi kwa nene musijhingili mu majaribu.”
41 And when He was withdrawn from them about a stone's-cast, He kneeled down and prayed saying,
Akalota patali ni bhene kama mrusho bhwa liganga, akapiga magoti akas'oka,
42 Father, if thou art willing take away this cup from me---nevertheless, not my will but thine be done.
Akajobha, “Dadi, kama wilonda, nibhoselayi kikombi ekhe. Lakini sio kyanilonda nene, basi kwa mapenzi gha jhobhi ghabhombekayi.”
43 And there appeared to Him an angel from heaven strengthening Him.
Kisha malaika kuhoma kumbinguni akan'tokela, akan'sopela nghofu.
44 And being in agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was like clotted blood falling down upon the ground.
Akajha mu kuluala, akas'oka kwa dhati nesu, ni jasho lya muene lyajhele kama madonyangi mabhaha gha damu ghibina pasi.
45 And when He rose up from prayer, He came to his disciples and found them sleeping for sorrow;

46 and He said to them, Why do ye sleep? rise and pray, that ye enter not into temptation.

47 And while He was yet speaking, behold a multitude; and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve apostles, came before them, and drew near unto Jesus to kiss Him:
Wakati akona ilongela, langayi, likundi libhaha lya bhanu lyatokili, ni Yuda, mmonga ghwa mitume kumi ni bhabhele ikabhalongosya. Akahida karibu ni Yesu ili ambusuajhi,
48 and Jesus said to him, Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss?
Lakini Yesu akan'jobhela, “Yuda, je ukan'saliti mwana ghwa Adamu kwa busu?”
49 But when they that were about Him saw what would follow, they said to Him, Lord, shall we smite with the sword?
Wakati bhala bhabhajhele karibu ni Yesu bho bhabhwene, aghu ghaghitokela, bhakajobha, “Bwana, je tubhatobhai kwa upanga?”
50 And one of them smote the high priest's servant and cut off his right ear:

51 but Jesus said, Suffer ye thus far; and He touched his ear and healed him.
Yesu akajobha, “ejhe jhitosya. Ni kugusya mb'olokoto jha muene, akapona.
52 Then said Jesus to the chief priests, and officers of the temple, and elders, that were come to Him, Are ye come out as against a robber with swords and clubs?
Yesu akajobha kwa kuhani mbaha, ni kwa bhabhaha bha hekalu, ni kwa bhaseya bhabhahidili kinyume kya muene, “Je mwihida kama mwihida kupambana ni mnyang'anyi kwa mabonga ni mapanga?
53 When I was day after day with you in the temple, ye did not stretch out your hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness.
Bho nijhe namu magono ghoha mu hekalu, mwaletilepi mabhoko gha jhomu panani pa nene. Lakini ejhe ndo saa jha jhobhi ni mamlaka ghe ngisi.”
54 Then they took Him and led Him away, and brought Him to the high priest's. And Peter followed at a distance.

55 And when they had kindled a fire in the midst of the hall, and sat down together, Peter also sat down among them:

56 and a servant-maid seeing him as he sat by the fire, and looking hard at him, said, This fellow was also with Him:

57 But he denied Him, saying, Woman, I do not know Him.

58 And after a little while another person seeing him said, And thou art one of them: but Peter said, Man, I am not.

59 And about an hour after, another confidently affirmed saying, In truth this fellow also was with Him; for he is a Galilean too: but Peter answered,

60 Man, I know not what thou sayst. And immediately, while he was yet speaking, the cock crew.

61 And the Lord turned and looked upon Peter; and Peter called to mind the word of the Lord, how He had said to him, Before the cock crow thou wilt deny me thrice.

62 And Peter went out and wept bitterly.

63 And the men that laid hold on Jesus, insulted and abused Him;

64 and when they had blind-folded Him, they struck Him on the face, and asked Him, saying, Prophesy who it was that smote thee.

65 And many other things spake they against Him, blaspheming Him.

66 And as soon as it was day, the elders of the people, and chief-priests, and scribes, assembled together, and ordered Him up into their council:

67 and said to Him, Art thou the Messiah? tell us. And He said unto them, If I should tell you, ye would not believe:
Bhakajobha, “Kama bhebhe ndo Kristu, tujobhelayi.” Lakini muene akabhajobhela, “Kama nikabhajobhelayi mwibeta lepi kuniamini,
68 and if I should put any question to you, ye would not answer me, nor discharge me.
na kama nikabhakotayi mwibeta lepi kunijibu.”
69 But hereafter shall the Son of man be seated on the right hand of the power of God.
Lakini kujhandila henu ni kujhendelela Mwana ghwa Adamu ibeta kujha atamili kibhoko kya kuume kya nghofu kya K'yara.”
70 And they all said, Art thou then the Son of God?
Bhoha bhakajobha, “Kwa hiyo bhebhe ndo mwana ghwa K'yara?” Ni Yesu akabhajobhela, “Muenga mwijobha nene ndo muene.”
71 And He said unto them, I am. And they said, What need have we of any farther evidence? when we ourselves have it from his own mouth?
Bhakajobha, Kwa ndajha kiki twakona kabhele twilonda ushahidi? kwa ndabha twebhene tumpeliki kuhoma mu kinywa kya muene.”
