Revelation 11
1 A reed like a rod was given to me. Someone said, “Rise and measure God’s temple, and the altar, and those who worship in it.
Foi-me dada uma palheta como uma vara. Alguém disse: “Levanta-te e mede o templo de Deus, e o altar, e aqueles que nele adoram”.
2 Leave out the court which is outside of the temple, and don’t measure it, for it has been given to the nations. They will tread the holy city under foot for forty-two months.
Deixe de fora a corte que está fora do templo, e não a meça, pois ela foi dada às nações. Eles pisarão a cidade santa por quarenta e dois meses.
3 I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy one thousand two hundred sixty days, clothed in sackcloth.”
Darei poder a minhas duas testemunhas, e elas profetizarão mil duzentos e sessenta dias, vestidas de pano de saco”.
4 These are the two olive trees and the two lamp stands, standing before the Lord of the earth.
Estas são as duas oliveiras e os dois candeeiros, de pé diante do Senhor da Terra.
5 If anyone desires to harm them, fire proceeds out of their mouth and devours their enemies. If anyone desires to harm them, he must be killed in this way.
Se alguém desejar prejudicá-los, o fogo sai de sua boca e devora seus inimigos. Se alguém deseja fazer-lhes mal, deve ser morto desta forma.
6 These have the power to shut up the sky, that it may not rain during the days of their prophecy. They have power over the waters, to turn them into blood, and to strike the earth with every plague, as often as they desire.
Estes têm o poder de calar o céu, para que não chova durante os dias de sua profecia. Eles têm poder sobre as águas, para transformá-las em sangue e para atingir a terra com cada praga, tantas vezes quantas desejarem.
7 When they have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up out of the abyss will make war with them, and overcome them, and kill them. (Abyssos g12)
Quando tiverem terminado seu testemunho, a besta que sai do abismo fará guerra com eles, os vencerá e os matará. (Abyssos g12)
8 Their dead bodies will be in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified.
Seus corpos mortos estarão na rua da grande cidade, que espiritualmente é chamada Sodoma e Egito, onde também seu Senhor foi crucificado.
9 From among the peoples, tribes, languages, and nations, people will look at their dead bodies for three and a half days, and will not allow their dead bodies to be laid in a tomb.
Entre os povos, tribos, línguas e nações, as pessoas olharão seus cadáveres por três dias e meio, e não permitirão que seus corpos mortos sejam depositados em um túmulo.
10 Those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them, and they will be glad. They will give gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented those who dwell on the earth.
Aqueles que habitam sobre a terra se alegrarão por eles, e ficarão felizes. Darão presentes um ao outro, porque estes dois profetas atormentaram aqueles que habitam sobre a terra.
11 After the three and a half days, the breath of life from God entered into them, and they stood on their feet. Great fear fell on those who saw them.
Depois dos três dias e meio, o sopro de vida de Deus entrou neles, e eles ficaram de pé. Um grande medo caiu sobre aqueles que os viram.
12 I heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here!” They went up into heaven in a cloud, and their enemies saw them.
Ouvi uma voz alta do céu dizendo a eles: “Subam aqui”! Eles subiram ao céu em uma nuvem, e seus inimigos os viram.
13 In that day there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell. Seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake, and the rest were terrified and gave glory to the God of heaven.
Naquele dia, houve um grande terremoto, e um décimo da cidade caiu. Sete mil pessoas morreram no terremoto, e as demais ficaram aterrorizadas e deram glória ao Deus do céu.
14 The second woe is past. Behold, the third woe comes quickly.
O segundo infortúnio é passado. Eis que o terceiro infortúnio vem rapidamente.
15 The seventh angel sounded, and great voices in heaven followed, saying, “The kingdom of the world has become the Kingdom of our Lord and of his Messiah. He will reign forever and ever!” (aiōn g165)
O sétimo anjo soou, e grandes vozes no céu se seguiram, dizendo: “O reino do mundo se tornou o Reino de nosso Senhor e de seu Cristo”. Ele reinará para todo o sempre”. (aiōn g165)
16 The twenty-four elders, who sit on their thrones before God’s throne, fell on their faces and worshiped God,
Os vinte e quatro anciãos, que se sentam em seus tronos diante do trono de Deus, caíram sobre seus rostos e adoraram a Deus,
17 saying: “We give you thanks, Lord God, the Almighty, the one who is and who was, because you have taken your great power and reigned.
dizendo: “Nós lhe damos graças, Senhor Deus, o Todo-Poderoso, aquele que é e que foi, porque você tomou seu grande poder e reinou.
18 The nations were angry, and your wrath came, as did the time for the dead to be judged, and to give your bondservants the prophets, their reward, as well as to the holy ones and those who fear your name, to the small and the great, and to destroy those who destroy the earth.”
As nações se enfureceram, e veio a tua ira, assim como a hora de julgar os mortos, e de dar a teus servos os profetas, sua recompensa, assim como aos santos e aos que temem teu nome, aos pequenos e aos grandes, e de destruir os que destroem a terra”.
19 God’s temple that is in heaven was opened, and the ark of the Lord’s covenant was seen in his temple. Lightnings, sounds, thunders, an earthquake, and great hail followed.
O templo de Deus que está no céu foi aberto, e a arca do pacto do Senhor foi vista em seu templo. Seguiram-se relâmpagos, sons, trovões, um terremoto e um grande granizo.
