< Psalms 1 >

1 Blessed is the man who doesn’t walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand on the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers;
Nyasaye gwedho ngʼat ma ok lu pach joma richo, kata luwo yor joricho kata bedo e kom jojaro.
2 but his delight is in the LORD’s law. On his Torah he meditates day and night.
To chik Jehova Nyasaye ema more, kendo osiko oparo kuom chikene odiechiengʼ gotieno.
3 He will be like a tree planted by the streams of water, that produces its fruit in its season, whose leaf also does not wither. Whatever he does shall prosper.
Ochalo gi yien mopidhi e bath aora, manyago olembe e kinde molemo chieke, kendo ma bedene ok ner. Gimoro amora motimo dhi maber.
4 The wicked are not so, but are like the chaff which the wind drives away.
Joma timbegi richo to ok chal kamano kata matin! Gin gichalo gi mihudhi, ma yamo tero.
5 Therefore the wicked shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
Kuom mano joma timbegi richo ok nolo bura, adier, joricho ok nobedi e kanyakla mar joma kare,
6 For the LORD knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked shall perish.
nikech Jehova Nyasaye rango yor joma kare, to yor joma richo to biro kethore.
